Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here after booking at quite short notice and we unexpectedly ended up staying an extra day. The apartment we had in the country house was perfect for a couple. Quiet location, but on the edge of a significant apartment complex, so we were authorized to use their facilities, like the sun beds and swimming pool ( which has a beautiful view over the Mediterranean and the bay of Cannes).

The apartments all retain the original old country house stonework, so are more visually attractive than the box type apartments that are typical in more modern buildings. The furnishings were spartan, as is the norm in a holiday rental, but it was equipped with everything we needed.

The apartment was exactly as advertised and the lady who booked our stay called us while we were on the way there to arrange to meet us at the reception and show us the apartment. She was very nice and extremely efficient!

The location is situated around a 40 minute walk to the Croisette and if you take the beach road it’s very pleasant, although please note that due to the elevated position of the apartments, when returning the last 400m involves walking up quite a steep incline.

We will for sure stay here again and have no problem recommending it.

We booked this as a family and stopped sep 23 , we chose this due to the lovely pictures of exposed stone and beams and it was better than we hoped on arrival. We had a warm arrival and very easy departure, Claire was very helpful and explained everything. The pool was lovely , rooms clean and beautifully presented. Beds were extremely comfortable and kitchen bathrooms well equipped. Added private parking and gated entrance made it private and secure. Only 15min walk into centre of Cannes and a lot less to beach. Loads within short car ride (supermarkets, restaurants & shops) . A lovely place which we will be visiting again.

My husband and I found this apartment via the HomeAway site, but on the German version not the English version. It was one of the most decently priced flats that we could find in the Riviera area, and it was excellent value.

The owner, Claire, was extremely helpful from the outset and in all communications. She was really friendly in person as well and a delight to deal with.

We stayed in the Agay apartment - it was relatively small, but adequate for the two of us: there was a kitchen, living/dining area, a nice bedroom with good storage space and a good bathroom with a very strong shower (no bath). The TV had a good range of channels, including various foreign language ones (more in German than in English), and there was free wifi which was quick and consistent. The apartment had a little patio area with a table and chairs out front. This was a good place to eat dinner. The only disappointment was it gave onto the car park rather than onto a view, and my husband had hoped the apartment would have a view itself. It did not.

However, to get views, one only needed to walk 5 minutes to the fantastic infinity swimming pool in the adjoining complex (which you are entitled to use). The swimming pool was great - if cold, with lots of recliners. There was also a restaurant and bar in this complex (which we did not use), and a convenience shop which we used to get bread for breakfast etc.

You probably do need a car to stay here. It is a walk down a steep hill to the beach, and a reasonable walk (eg. 25 minutes into Cannes). More importantly, is the walk back up the steep hill - which at 7 months pregnant I found a challenge. There is a shuttle bus from the complex into Cannes, but we tended to use our car. Parking at the complex was secure.

All in all a very good experience. The only possible negative was the lack of view from the apartment itself, but this was wholly outweighed by the very good offer that we got and by the proximity to the amazing infinity pool.

Highly recommended.

The Apartment was just enough for me and my partner, the owner was very kind and polite. She spoke good English which helped as the surrounding area have little English.

So why the 4 stars not 5.

Location - is out of the city, will need bus into town - recommend getting bus into 'hotel de ville' cost 1 euro 50. uber back is easier than walk up the mountain back to the apartment. average Uber is about 7-10 Euros.

Asking for equipment - having to ask for a toaster and bits and bobs was a little pain for us - however we didn't spend to much eating because we couldn't understand the supermarket that well.

Parking is good - although one day some neighbor parked in our spot.

The nearby pool you have to pay for a sun bed - if you read reviews of that complex your be over the moon that you picked to stay at 'Du Soleil'

This was really well priced, can't blame the host. We won't visit Cannes again but would recommend any couple to spend time at this apartment.
