This hotel is in a great location in Cannes - a short walk to the beautiful beach and regular bus service in/out of old town. The staff are very hospitable, in particular Florent who was extremely helpful. Merci.

Had a 1st floor garden view room, very nice sized room, very comfy bed, very smart modern bathroom, clean room, bathroom and hotel. Great staff especially the wonderful helpful Marina. Breakfast was buffett and very pleasant and more than adequate options for a smaller sized hotel. The location is no more than 200 meters from the beach/ the Cannes boardwalk. Great small friendly hotel. Not a big chain hotel and perfect French feel to it, Will go back for sure. Its about a 18 euro taxi ride from the bus and train station.

Lovely little hotel at the beginning of the Croisette, within a minute to the beach. I got an upgrade to a room with a terrace that lead right to the swimming pool. I was also very lucky to find a parking space right in front. But what absolutely overwhelmed me was the friendliness of the staff. A special thanks to Virginie and Florant who even doggy-sat my little Pom who didn’t want to go out in the heat. I definitely look forward to coming back! Loved it ❤️

The Villa Cannes Croisette is really a little Oasis in the middle of Cannes. The rooms are very spacious and the common areas super comfy and cosy.
Loved the little garden by the pool.
Will defnitley come back and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cannes.
A big thank you to the GM Florent, who's alaways availble to answer all your inqueries.

We stayed in this hotel in June and found the staff to be generally pleasant, friendly and extremely helpful.

We did get the boat trip after enquiring about it BUT this is never a 4* hotel. The room was tiny, poorly decorated and with inadequate air conditioning. There is a small reception area with a bar, but no real lounge area as such. Breakfast is expensive and basic.

The position is good in terms of its proximity to the Croisette but once you go past the railway bridge where the alcoholics seem to live at the bus stop, the area goes noticeably downhill. The views were a little disappointing as we overlooked the railway line with the sea beyond. The garden, with modest sized pool is pleasant but picking up a point that one of the other reviews made, I was a little misled by the photos on the website, especially in relation to the size of the garden

In summary - you could enjoy this if you went expecting a pretty good two star hotel in a very convenient location. The glowing reviews puzzle me, as does its position as the second most highly rated hotel in Cannes bearing in mind the some of the adverse reviews.

I delayed writing this review because I was very much in two minds about it. The proprietor was very pleasant and treated the guests like friends, but I felt misled by the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor and the hotel's categorisation as a 4* establishment - the same as the Majestic Barriere.

HELLO DAVID I am really sorry that your stay with us was not up to your expectations. I just want to clarify few things: ** we are a 4 star hotel and the majestic is 5 L **our pool is as big as their pool and bigger than the carlton's **in all hotels , you have small rooms , bigger rooms and JR so when you chose the lowest rate, you cannot expect the biggest rooms, although at certain periods we do upgrade our guests **our decoration is quite elegant: we are the ONLY hotel with hand made furniture by artists from St Tropez, but I totally understand that you may not like it ( it is the first time I hear this, so I will reconsider it since we are renovating again!) **next time you come to Cannes, I will have the pleasure of offering a night in our Romantic rooms or Pleasant rooms and then you can tell if they are that small **finally, I have been all over the world and I have seen alcoholics everywhere, they are neither part of the hotel nor near it...they are just miserable people and I wish there will be no more alcoholics or misery nowhere in the World : THIS IS MY WISH FOR 2007 , and Thanks to you . this is

We were here for 4 days and were very disappointed. The staff was not friendly and despite wonderful emails from Nadia, we really didn't feel welcomed. We were promised a boat ride, but when we arrived, they were evasive and wouldn't give us any idea as to when the boat ride was. The rooms were small, musty and in need of new carpet. Our children only had sheets on their beds and when I asked for blankets, I was told that the hotel did not have any. I was told to turn down the air conditioning but we were unable to do so, so kids slept with hoodies and sweaters. Staff was unfriendly so much so that my kids refused to be in the lobby or go into the pool by the end of our stay. We had lunch by the pool one day (as other guests had done the day before) and Nadia came outside and started yelling and wouldn't stop - telling us this wasn't a picnic!! we apologized but she wouldn't stop yelling which upset the kids especially. Of all of our hotels in Europe this summer, this was the worst. Unfriendly and unpredictable staff, smelly rundown rooms - we can't reccomend this hotel.

The hotel is very cute with a fantastic garden and a nice swimming pool. However it is located very close to the train road meaning that we can hear on a regular basis the noise of the TGV on its way to NIce.
We chose the deluxe room which were wonderfully decorated with a very nice bathroom. We had a breakfast outside the bungaloo in front of the swimming pool.
We had lunch everyday at the hotel and then came the bad surprise. Obviously the hotel staff is not trying to develop the food part of the business. We always had the feeling that it was more a burden than a pleasure for them to feed us. The choice was extremely reduced . The menu has to be decided the night before or in the morning. As for the desert there was not not a problem of choice there was none. Last but not least for a very short choice (salad, pizza) and a below-average food we were charged an indecent amount of money with no explanation.
As a conclusion go there (even if it is quite expensive) but never ever eat there , you can very easily find a better food far cheaper and go shopping with the savings ....
.

dear sir i am replying just because I keep on receiving calls from regular guests who are shocked by some false reviews WE DO NOT HAVE A RESTAURANT we use an outside restaurant just to please our guests who like to eat by the pool rather than going to restaurants the restaurant rates are in the rooms I am surprised because you were insisting on eating by the pool and the highest rate you paid was 20 euros per person with drinks! what is more surprising is that you were inquiring about coming back next year ! thank you for your comments anyhow, they are very helpful

Myself and my husband stayed in this hotel the 1st week in May for 5 nights. Even though we had read all the reviews, I was still pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff were brilliant and Nadia (the manager) couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It is located within a short walk of the Crosiette, although it would be a 10 -15 minute walk into the centre of Cannes (but it is a flat walk down by the water). The swimming pool was lovely (we were the only ones using it during our stay so it was like having our own pool). There is a pretty patio area to sit out on during the evenings and have a drink from the bar. The rooms are a bit small and they aren't very sound proof but they are exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definately return to it some day.

The pre stay booking was great, quick replies and polite emails. When arrived, all seemed fine until we went to the room. You could not swing a mouse in it! We were told when we booked that we would have a discounted rate of 20 euros per night as an offer. When we checked the standard tariff we were charged the normal rate but were told a higher rate to start with and it looked as if we were getting a deal....beware! We upgraded our room for the second and third night as the standard room was uninhabitable, the bedroom was tiny and the bathroom minute. You couldn't even sit on the loo without bending your legs away from the wall! No offer was made for these nights...i wonder why? The airconditioning didn't work (i think this was because it was April and they don't allow it on until the warmer months! It was a very warm couple of days!). When we checked out, there were no pleasentries and we felt disappointed. Will not return.

I must confess that I'm still puzzled by all the glowing reviews of this place, as they position this hotel as the third highest rated hotel in Cannes - but its never a 4* hotel. The room was about 9-10sqm in size, scarcely decorated and directly facing the railway with trains running literally in front of the window in about 20 meters distance. There is a small reception area with a bar, no real lounge area as such.

I've booked a room for 3 nights, but due to unforseen change in personal circumstances had to leave on the night of the arrival, checked out with the receptionist and was told to pay just for the first night, which sounded fair. After returning home I've discovered that my credit card has been charged for two extra nights in addition to the first payment. I believed in a technical mistake first so have asked the credit card company to investigate, but to my surprise this hotel apparently always charges for the full stay - no matter when the guest actually leaves. So beware: should you choose to leave earlier you will be liable for the full price. I guess the management will reply in this forum telling I've got it all wrong..

The position is good in terms of its proximity to the Croisette.
In summary - you could enjoy this if you went expecting a two star hotel in a convenient location.

Dear Sir I would like to thank you for your comments, and I would like also to point out 2 things 1/ the guests who wrote very nice reviews are not stupid and you owe them and their opinion a kind of respect 2/ in your case , you booked through an internet agency and not directly with the Hotel we have contracts and we must respect them because we are charged high commissions on the bookings you make through them The Hotel has been totally refurbished in 2007 with the best fabrics nad the rooms are fully equippped and we do have plasma TV in all rooms on the internet system you booked , we only sell the Smart rooms(12sqm + bathroom) because they want very cheap rates but if you come to Cannes again, I will offer you a free night in a Romantic room THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME & MERRY CHRISTMAS
