Location, breakfast, staff. Hotel is very close to beach and train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and our mini suite very big. Breakfast was lovely. Cereals, yogurt, meats, cheese and you could boil eggs. Plenty of places close by to eat out and drink.

The best thing about the hotel is the location very central. Close to the trainstation en central to the shops and beaches. I'm visiting during a conference and can walk to all my meetings. But still I would not recommend staying here. All the room at the front of the hotel are facing the street. There's a busy Cafe with a terrace downstairs. You can close the window, but then there is no fresh air ventilation. The airco only circulates the air in the room. Luckily I brought earplugs. Otherwise it would have been impossible to sleep in the room.

This is a small hotel in an old building that's great for the budget traveller.
I had a top floor room that faced an unattractive courtyard.
It was very clean and adequate for a couple of nights. The building has creaky, old floorboards, and narrow corridors. These are things to be expected in a building of this age.
It's in a great position - close to all the restaurants and cafes, very near to the railway station, and a short walk from the Croissette.
I think the photos give a better impression than the reality, but it really is a nice place in which to spend a few nights.

I initially made a reservation at this hotel, formerly called "Hotel Touring," but I decided to hotel shop around Cannes to see if I could find a better deal.

I looked high and low, far and wide--Hotel La Villa Tosca is the best deal around. I paid 120 euros for a quad(2 queen size beds), and that was a steal. The rooms are clean and cheery, with balconies overlooking rue Hoche. The bathrooms are bright and impeccably clean. And the beds are SO comfortable! It was my best sleep in Europe. The hotel itself is quiet, but not dead, and the staff is willing to help you if you give them a ring or go downstairs. They won't seek you out, and are sometimes absent from the front desk, but they always turn up if you ring the bell.

There is a comfy lounge and restaurant on the second floor to read or to dine in, and if you want to escape outside for entertainment, all you need to do is walk out the door. Rue Hoche has many place on it--cafes, resaurants, internet places, shops...but the next street south is the 2nd best shopping besides the Croisette. Rue Hoche is only a few blocks from the beach(maybe three??), one block from the train station, and one or two from any restaurant or shop or store you could need. Stay here if you want low cost and high quality!

Beautifully located within easy walking distant from the train station, shops, restaurants, old town and the sea front.
Our room 203 was perfect. Two double beds plenty of room to move and an incredible south facing balcony with views over the red topped roofs. Perfect for a wine and cheese evening as the sun sets playing cards.
Rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Breakfast avaible onsite for €13 or you could go to a nearby cafe as an alternative.
Staff very pleasant. Nice late checkout and facilities to store your bags for a few hours.
Fantastic location 10* very quiet will certainly recommend and return

Stayed 1 night at the Villa Tosca in one of the standard rooms on the first floor.
The hotel was refurbished about 3 years ago and looks quite stylish from the outside. Very good central location on semi pedestrianised street.
The entrance hall/reception tiny and there is a very small lift, but there is a nice breakfast/bar area on the first floor.
Our room was disappointing- small and dark and up a flight of stairs from the breakfast room on a sort of mezzanine level. It was superficially trying to be stylish, but furnished poorly and starting to show signs of wear. It was fairly clean though. The bathroom was tiny but functional. Creaky floors, so some noise from above. Street noise was minimal with the windows shut and shutters down. The air conditioning was working but didn't seem to respond to the controller.
Our "double bed "- 2 singles pushed together with single sheets was very hard and uncomfortable.
Overall impression was that the room felt cheap

We had breakfast included in our package and thought it was pretty good :selection of hot drinks, freshly squeezed orange juice, pastries, breads, jams, cold meats, boiled eggs, fruit, yoghurts etc. but not sure what they charge for it- wouldn't pay more than 10 euros though.
There are lots of cafes round the hotel offering breakfast with coffee, croissant, bread ,jams and orange juice for around 5 euros.

We chose the Villa Tosca for purely financial reasons-a deal through GTA hotels website for £50 including breakfast.
The hotel's standard room charge is 99 euros without breakfast. For what we paid ( equivalent of ~75 euros in high season), we thought the price was fine, but wouldn't have wanted to stay too long in our particular room.
Understand there are some superior rooms which are more expensive-,they may be better for longer stays, but for the rates charged there are better hotels to be had.

Overall our impression was that this hotel is basically a two star that was smartened up a little while ago and gained another star in the process, however it still has a hostel type feel in places.

We've stayed at several other 3 star hotels in Cannes, the Canberra, de Provence, Quality Riviera, Beausejour , to name a few ,all of which are significantly nicer than the Villa Tosca. Would recommend any of these in preference if the price is right.

Other hotels in Cannes offer deals most of the time- check out the cost comparison websites .Believe there is better value to be had in Cannes than here.

Hotel La Villa Tosca was a pleasant surprise. We showed up in the early evening after a long trip by plane and car and we felt warmly welcomed. The staff are soft spoken but their smiles and welcomes were always appreciated.

We found the hotel to be charming itself with a many added little touches.

It is close to restaurants, monoprix, Gallerie Lafayette, Rue D Antibes and the sea front. There are many private lovely beaches that are a short distance away.

As it was very hot outside we wished that we could have turned the air conditioning on to stay a bit more powerful in our room.

I would recommend this hotel as a nice getaway to the sea.

Average stay for 2 nights. The hotel is located in a great area with access to tourist attractions within easy reach. I stayed for 2 nights therefore i was really in the hotel for brief periods of time. The double room is small with a small shower cubicle. No extra pillows or duvets provided in the room. The hotel has a lift but it is really small. Can really only fit 2 people at a time so if you have luggage you probably have to send these up to your rooms one at a time. As highlighted it was an average stay for 2 nights. It wasnt terrible but it wasnt great either. I stayed for 2 nights so it wasnt the end of the world but if you are staying in Cannes for longer you could probably get a better hotel in the same area at the same cost or even cheaper.

Really liked this hotel. 70 Euro for a really good, recently decorated 3 star hotel right in the middle of Cannes, opposite a nice cafe. Excellent value, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Highly recommend it.

This hotel couldn‘t be more central - you‘re in the middle of Cannes, restaurants bars and shops just meters away. The beach isn‘t more than 5 minutes per pedes away.

The staff at the reception was always kind, the rooms are okay and quite clean - but the used carpet made me shiver. Don’t be too expecting than you‘ll have a good time - you won’t spend most of the time in the room when visiting Cannes ;)

Very noisy at nights - you hear everything your neighbor does!! Or people who come back.
