Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This is probably the best stay in Cannes if you want a 5 star accomodation to the most affordable price: You get : the most friendly hosts, a magnificent garden and pool, very close (2 minute walk) to the best beach in Cannes, short bus trip or promenade to the city center, If you hesitate between Cannes or Nice, don’t! Cannes is the best! This is a real comfort for your souls!

Really great little hotel, I stayed for 2 nights on business in 2022 but would like to come back for a long weekend with my partner! I had room 32 which was a large studio with a double bed, single bed, dining table, kitchenette, small bathroom and a outside street view terrace. It had good air con. Very clean and everything you would need for self catering, including a nespresso machine/pods. The bed was really really comfortable, memory foam! And great pillows and lots of blankets for layering as it was quite cold at night in October. Note that not all the rooms have air conditioning. It’s a bit dated but as long as you know what to expect you’ll be fine! Didn’t have time to enjoy the facilities but the pool looked lovely and there is also a rooftop terrace with egg chairs/sunloungers and views of the sea! Beach just across the road. Walk to main centre of Cannes(harbour) took 35 min along the beach front and there are plenty of bars, beach clubs and restaurants along the way. Uber to the same area on average cost €12-15. I would definitely return.

Stayed at the hotel with the family (us and our two kids 8 and 10 yo and a set of grandparents). Highly recommendable place to stay. Wery well kept and clean both inside and out. Nice pool in an amazing garden. Awesome view over the garden, pool and sea from the balcony (and bed) - make sure to get a sea view room. Wery nice host coupple who are wery helpfull and care to the guests. And nice that the place is quite small. Very short walk to the beach and a very easy and short bus ride to Cannes down town (or manageble walk if you don’t bring small kids or older people not up for the walk).

We came for Mipcom 2015. The guesthouse was great, and the people were lovely and helpful. The location was close to the beach, and the Mipcom shuttle stop was right nextdoor. The apartment was clean and the bathroom was lovely. We will definitely return.

We have just returned from a two week stay at Veles Plage and it was everything we hoped for and more. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our self-catering stay. The pool and garden areas were beautiful, even better than the photos! The location is great, just across the road from the beach and a 20 minute stroll into the centre of town. However, if you don't want to venture out, everything you need is just across the road (small shop and a couple of small but lovely restaurants for lunch or dinner, one of which does pizzas to takeaway!). We are so happy to have found this little gem and will definitely be returning next summer.

The residence is in an old house developed into apartments so you avoid the usual modern block. Also set in the most beautiful tranquil gardens carefully laid out on different levels including a pool area. Our party had a studio at the front. plus the one bedroom apartment at entrance level with sea view, obviously the sea view would have been bit better on a higher floor. The location was very convenient to Cannes la Bocca train station 7 min walk or the bus to Cannes with a 2min walk so easy to manage without a car. There were a few shops and a pizzeria just across the road otherwise a quick bus trip to La Bocca to the supermarket. There was a very relaxing atmosphere due to the small number of apartments with the owner ready to help on any occasion. A few items to note, we knew the area so were aware of the train track between the apartment and beach you would hardly hear them after a while. As a result the 50m from the beach is slightly wrong as you have to walk from the back gate along a path for 150m to a foot bridge or tunnel just beyond which brings you up at a pedestrian light to cross the road to the beach. The beach is sandy but water quite deep so perhaps not good for small children but great for swimming. The Wifi was a bit hit and miss and our apartment was not ready at 4pm when we arrived at the stated check in time. The kitchen was fairly basic but enough to create a few meals to enjoy on the balcony. Our rooms had no A/C only a fan. Like other French places do, it did seem quite expensive to pay €17 per person for a pair of sheets & towels and €35 to €40 for cleaning at the end, but we did know this before booking. ( we could have brought our own and did our own cleaning not so easy when not having arrived by car) All in all an ideal and great spot to enjoy the area with easy access by train and relax in the calm garden on return. If there are fire works in Cannes make sure to go amazing.

If you need a bit of distance between you and doing business at the Palais Du Festival every day, getting an early fresh start with a swim in a pretty garden pool, followed by a 20 minute beach side walk into Cannes, this is the place. I have been staying here for many years, every time the rooms have been clean and have caught up with current design bit by bit. Very much cared for by its owners, and very friendly.

My children and I have been returning here every July for the past 4 years. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. The pool and gardens are pristine. The apartments are basic yet clean. A short walk takes you to the beach, the bus stop, restaurants or a convenience store. It is affordable and delivers everything that we need. Merci Veles Plage!

I had already read good reviews about things place so wasn't surprised how pleasant it was. I stayed due to attending MIPCOM. Firstly, it is really easy to get into town. There is a free half hour shuttle bus you can use from the hotel next door but we never used it as its a really nice half hour walk along the beech. Over the road you have a garage for drinks, nibbles plus there is a pizza restaurant and general store too. Everything is really well kept. The garden is lush and it was an amazing view from the balcony. The kitchen area, although very small - had all the essentials such as cooker, cutlery, microwave etc. We paid about 500 euros for 6 nights and it was cheaper than the 2 star IBIS hotel I stayed in before. My only slight criticisms is that the TV did not carry any English language channels (I really like to have the news on in the morning), The Internet connection was very slow and sometimes unusable. Finally the breakfast was a bit overpriced. But other than that - a great place and will be returning!
