A two-faced review: on the one hand, the kindness of the owners, beauty of the landscape, authenticity of the architecture; on the other hand, real proximity to a noisy street, which in summer and with the windows open, can give some problems. The hotel (two stars: no lift, but the owners will give you a hand to carry your luggage in your room; no air conditioning, but even in August, if you open the windows, you will have air at an optimal temperature) has a charm certainly linked to the authenticity of the building, a beautiful architecture placed in an enviable position; the breakfast, which we have eaten on the entrance terrace, is excellent and is kindly served at a fair price; if you have special needs (advice on where to go for dinner; the need for storage ...) the owners will help you in everything. The evaluation is therefore an average and positive aspects prevail over negative ones...

It would be hard to really put into words how special this trip was. We arrived in Nice in the early evening, rented a car and drove to Grasse. As soon as we pulled into the driveway of Hotel La Bellaudiere we noticed the amazing terrace and a group of guests sitting and enjoying some wine. We knew we were in the right place and couldn't drop our bags off and get to that terrace fast enough. We sat there all night on a beautiful warm spring night, watched the full moon rise and reveal beautiful moonlit vistas of the valley below and a glimpse of the Mediterranean in the distance. The lights of Antibes and Cannes clearly visible as well. It was magic. We spent the whole night chatting with other guests as the came and went more or less doing the same thing as us. Our proprietor Francois took brilliant care of us the entire time and by the time we finally went to bed, we were all fast friends. The morning revealed beautiful open views of the valley below us, trees with the early stages of leaves coming out and every spring flower imaginable in full bloom. Breakfast was fresh bread and croissants, jam, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. We could have asked for eggs or something else, but why? That was our first 12 hours. There's not enough room for the rest. It was an amazing trip in an amazing region of France. Francois and his team could not have been better. We had dinner twice in the hotel after local excursions to nearby points of interest. The food was excellent. By the time we left we felt like part of the family and we can't wait to go back. This is not a big name luxury Hotel experience. This is like visiting your dear friend's home. That's they way you are treated, like a good friend. Its a wonderful place with a lot of history and perfect for the traveler that wants to explore the local area without much of a plan enjoying the gorgeous scenery and eating delicious food. Thank you Francois and team. We will be back and we will send others. Merci Beaucoup!

Hotel is easy to find but entrance is tight if you have an SUV.
There are about 5 parking spaces at the side of the hotel but room is available on the top road alongside the hotel.
Hotel is run by a very friendly and helpful family and nothing is too much trouble
We stayed on the second floor which is accessed by two flights of stairs. Be aware if you are older or struggling with breathing you may have to opt for a lower floor.
Our room number was 17 and we had plenty of room with a nice view of the Mediterranean in the distance. Room also had a shower/bath.
We opted for breakfast and evening meals on the 4 days we stayed all of which were very good

The hotel was located on a main road, however not noisy at all! Beautiful views, Grasse was about 40 minutes walk away. Would highly recommend for a peaceful stay. Breakfast was available on request, very refreshing!

At arrival arount lunchtime the Hotel was closed. We called the owner but it took 3 hours to get in. Room was very small and destination very difficult to reach as street to get there was closed. Rooms needed renovation. Even we complained the night was not refunded despite we decided to go for another hotel. No place to recommend.

Filthy dirty is the only word to describe it!!! Images on the website are deceptive!! Staff who welcomed us smelt alcohol!!! We left immediately!! and of course even though we had booked 10min prior our arrival they wanted to be paid in full... they live by tricking tourists!

La Bellaudiere was our first stop fresh from the flight from new York to Nice. easy drive, trickier finding the location ( if you blink, you might miss the entrance)
Friendly welcome upon arrival confirming the welcoming vibe we got when we first called..

We loved the XVI century architecture on this hillside property with a view of the Mediterranean sea.
Great cuisine offered for dinner and breakfast (why drive out?).

Best ratio of price, quality and value.

First time in Grasse, not to worry, you will receive all the necessary maps and directions before you go to explore the city.

We only wished that we had more time on this trip and stay another pair of nights there.

Although this hotel is just over 2 km from Grasse we were very impressed with the evening meal after we found nothing open in the centre ville on a Monday night. Our room had a broken light & was on the road to Nice so not perfectly quiet but very clean & full of character

Though 'only' 2 star this has been recently taken over by new owners who were working so hard to gain a reputation. It is an older style house with high ceilings and a view over the valley. They have a chef who can certainly put on super evening meals. About 10 minutes drive outside Grasse (much better than chasing parking in a crowded medieval city) we thoroughly recommend this small, intimate hotel. If you prefer ambience and character over luxury then this is for you.
