The good:
Its a beautiful campsite, full of massive pine trees and gorgeous flowers. Staff are really friendly and pools are excellent. The kids had a blast on the waterslides (as did I!). There's an additional pool/spa just for adults. Check if it's part of your package otherwise you must pay to enter. It's fantastic... if you can get time away from kids. It's a 5-10 min drive from Frejus and set in the middle of Cote D'Azur so neighbouring towns such as St Tropez are very accessible.
Our cottage looked new and everything worked perfectly.
There is a shuttle bus constantly running that will bring you anywhere in the campsite.

The Bad:
Music at the pool is waaaay too loud ... at times it's like being at a nightclub. We moved back from the pool/speakers but it's still off-putting if you are trying to relax.

The Ugly:
The food in the restaurant isn't great and it's very overpriced for what you get. This forced us into eating in the nearby villages ... which was great.
You have to pay €20 to use the paddle court!

We’re 5 days into our family holiday here, we are staying with canvas holiday. Villa is a 3 bed with air on which is tucked away but backs onto the internal road (F04). Close enough to the swimming pool but far enough from the hubbub. Pool is nice but no actual “swimming” pool. Small dipping pool and a nice lazy river. Water slides are ok, better for sub teenagers, although a few gangs of older boys were having lots of fun. Lifeguards are mostly policing the wearing of pocketed swim shorts so you’ll need tighter non-pocket ones. No necessarily budgies though. Food and wine is pricey but it’s similar prices down by the beach. Shop has good range but pricey again as you’d expect. Nearest big shop is a Intermarche, you can walk there in about 20-25 minutes but lots of the roads don’t have raised paving, just a cycle Lane, so it’sa but hairy. We didn’t hire a car so tried all sorts.
There’s a decent home bargains esq shop 10 minutes walk which has good general stuff, and a bakery 10 minutes further. The on site shop has decent bakery products for the morning though.
Uber is available but typically 30 minutes to connect to a driver then 20 minutes for the ride to arrive. Felt like there’s only 5 uber drivers. Bus from site to beach us every 2 hours or so, only costs €2 so €8 for 4 of us compared with €13 Uber. Bud was on time but goes like the clappers through the winding town roads, so take a travel tablet if you’re sensitive.
Massive market on the Sunday by the beach, and the Frejus beach is lovely, not too busy, and has fresh water showers dotted about and free automated cleaning toilets. Decent sand, very long and steep but not dangerous into the water. No body boarding but waves were fun when it was windy.
Top tip if getting an Uber, order it then sit at a nice restaurant and grab a drink to wait it out!
On site events are ok, bingo was fun, magician had surprisingly good bits. The band sounded great. The kids clubs do seem to have English speakers but it was mainly French kids so not sure what it would have been like.
Local aqualand water park is super expensive (€30 pp but then you need the €20 fast pass else you’ll be queuing all day) but was really good fun for a one off.
Overall we’d recommended this resort. We survived without a car, with a €230 both ways booked taxi through jamtransfer which was great, and Ubers/bus.

Gorgeous! Some points of improvement needed A serious security service, sometimes a little too straddling unnecessary points, a professional reception, a mini market with minimum demand, rather expensive and unfriendly, depending on who is at the cash desk, very different in their attitude and process for checking and disinfecting sunbathing at the Spa, for example. One very rigorous, the other very lax. The need for my 16 year old daughter to systematically present her identity card to the Spa while she has a bracelet to access it is unnecessary and painful. Beyond these points of improvement and the very high cost of the rental (Moorea 6/7 people), the accommodation and its equipment were top notch, the superb Jacuzzi, the terrace and the lounge area, solarium, divine mini beach. The equipment was really well thought out and adapted. A luxuriant and well organized vegetation. Well made and nickel parking spaces. Private access to the Moorea residences and the spa is a plus. Peace of mind. The maintenance team at the top and very responsive, in addition to being friendly. It s expensive but it s superb if you live in the Moorea area. The proximity of Frejus / St Raphael and the beaches is also appreciated

Hello, first of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to describe your stay with us, a big thank you from the whole team! Your satisfaction is our priority and it warms our hearts to read a nice testimony like yours. It is our customers who allow us to constantly improve. As far as the balneo is concerned, it is forbidden to people under 18 years old, but we have exceptionally accepted this due to the low number of people on the day, but in return we ask you to check your ID every time. We look forward to seeing you again very soon, sincerely the Domaine du Colombier

Disco music until 23:30, expensive restaurant, ants in the home, absolutely no protection rules against Corona in the swimming pool. Aqua gym with tons of animators an way too many people in the pool, no distance rules at all. Free Internet is just a joke, only one device allowed at a time!!!!!!! Performance is terrible. Never again.

Hello, We thank you for leaving your comments. We're sorry to hear about your feelings. However, we would like to come back to an important point. A direction of circulation is set up to move around our aquatic lagoon and the positioning of the deckchairs respects the sanitary standards in force to face the pandemic. In a process of continuous improvement, we take into account all your remarks. We look forward to hearing from you, The Domaine du Colombier.

We moved to this site after spending eight days at Les Tournels and we were so disappointed.
First the positive parts, the staff are very friendly and helpful one member giving my little boys a tour on the shuttle bus which they loved. The mini disco was a huge hit with all 3 children. The pool area was spotlessly clean and the slides were great fun, we couldn’t fault the actual amenities on site.
However, all pitches for motorhomes and caravans are right beside a main road. We are not light sleepers but honestly came away from this holiday exhausted. We couldn’t wait to leave for a decent night’s sleep.
Our other major issue with this site was that the roads outside made it almost impossible to cycle anywhere, which was such a shame as we love to cycle out to explore beaches and things. We unfortunately wouldn’t recommend this Yelloh village even though we have loved every other one we have stayed at.

Hello, The Le Colombier team would like to thank you for your comments about our staff and facilities. We are sorry to read that you did not sleep well during your stay. Please be aware that we have built an anti-noise wall to limit noise pollution as much as possible. In our booking confirmation email, we make a note of the fact that the pitch is located close to a main road, so that our guests do not have any unpleasant surprises when they arrive. We are sorry that this was not enough to guarantee your peace and quiet. We wish you a good day. Yours sincerely Le Domaine du Colombier

Well kept clean site but way too noisy music at pool and not well laid out campsite.

This site is only for the fit and able as it is very hilly. There is a little shuttle that runs around but if it is full (often at peak times) you will end up walking.

The lagoon pool is great for kids but at busy times impossible to actually swim even a stroke. My daughter loved the slides. But two seriously annoying negatives.
1. The music is WAY too loud. At times I couldn’t hear my own music in my ears. So unnecessary.
2. There at sharp little red stones in every flowerbed. These are scattered throughout the pool footpaths and very painful to walk on with no shoes. Kids run around pool areas and my daughter had three really sore cuts. Nb. None of the pools seemed heated as all very cold even in August.

In contrast the adult pool is absolutely gorgeous. Annoyingly you have to pay extra to go in (a bit greedy in my opinion) but it’s a really good pool and slightly heated and delightful.

Study the layout of the site pre booking. If you have kids younger than 11 ish you will discover that at night time it’s really difficult as the bar area is no where near to the playground or games room and not a safe walk for small kids to get there.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the mini disco was really good for the kids - the tall chap deserves a medal for doing the same thing every night!

However. The evening entertainment after the mini disco was SO loud. We had a cottage at the bottom of the hill and it was like we were sat next to it until 11pm every night. None of us could get to sleep. Don’t come here if you like quiet evenings.

Overall not a bad site, just a bit hard work!

The Domaine is indeed a family and festive campsite. However, we do stop all our entertainment at 11pm. We are sorry that this is not what you expected for your holiday. We apologise for the noise pollution and will pass on your comments to the relevant teams. We would like to assure you that our pools are well heated: with a boiler and heat pump system. We couldn't recommend this site enough. It is beautiful and has given us a fantastic holiday. We booked through vacances select who were disappointing and never at their location. The staff at the general campsite, however, were fantastic and very professional. We would definitely come again but we would book directly with the campsite and not vacances select. It is a lovely campsite, a beautiful location, a great pool and wonderful entertainment.

This site is amazing. We had a lovely plot with jacuzzi and lots of outdoor space. It was brilliant.
We had free access to the balneo and spa, felt like VIP guests.
Loads of sun beds, water jets pools and different undercover areas.
Nice shop on site. Lovely main pool area.
The only downside was distance to the sea, there wasn’t a nice path to walk there, it was all busy main roads.

Just returned from 2 weeks at this site we stayed in a Villagrand mobile home courtesy of Keycamp. I was more than apprehensive about this type of holiday as I am more used to 5 star hotels and am not especially 'child tolerant' however, I loved it and have already booked for this time next year. It is obviously at the very end of the season so the camp was very quiet. The main pool area was quite brilliant will masses of sun loungers and stunning views over the countryside . I also paid the extortionate amount of 15 Euros to visit the adults only spa pool - not worth it. The only advantage is the lack of children ( may be useful in high season though), the pool was cold and there was never anyone in the bar to serve us. The huge downside to both pools is that you can't take any food or drink in with you , but I do admit to sneaking a plastic bottle of water in my bag! Also, there is no shade in the main pool which would be a problem for children in the hottest part of the year. The site is very well arranged in a woody type location with lots of trees, it is very hilly though. The supermarket is very well stocked and not really overpriced. It serves warm bread every morning. The caravan was very well equipped with a big fridge/freezer and full cooker and with every utensil you could need. It was also very clean ( you don't have to clean when you leave unlike the other tour operators on the Site). There was always plenty of hot water. It had a nice decking area with lots of furniture and came complete with a cat and 3 kittens who lived underneath - bonus! The location was well placed for exploring the Cote d'azure and we did go out everyday in the car. The beach at Frejus was really nice but not within walking distance. There are plenty of large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive to do a big shop. This was a really cost effective way of spending time in what is an expensive part of the county, leaving plenty of spending money for the luxuries in life like perfume from Grasse!

We took lots of photos & they speak for themselves, this was not a good experience for us as a family, I wish we had used our valuable time & stayed somewhere else as Frejus was very nice.

There was good & bad:

Good
1. Mini clubs (although our Daughter was the only English speaking out of about 40 kids), staff were helpful
2. Clean pools
3. Eurocamp Reps were very helpful
4. Circus, there was a travelling circus at the campsite & it was excellent

Bad
1. Lots of rules around all facilities, no drinks allowed around pool, long walk to pool bar through disinfectant & up steep slopes. Other rules included no swimming shorts for men!
2. Pink cushion area displayed in the brochures is the smoking area & it is used to the max as the area is blue with disgusting thick smoke, no ice-creams or food allowed in this huge area, but they invite kids in by placing the games tables here.
3. This is also the only bar area as the inside area is just a restaurant & it is frowned upon if you try to just go in for a drink. The one evening we were able to sit in pink cushion area (not too many smokers around), they decided to play a full Prince CD full of swear words & didn't seem too interested when we complained about our 8 year old having to listen to this.
3. No English menus in the restaurant, they had to get the supervisor to translate for us - really embarrassing.
4. Evening shows - all French
5. Prices too higher than a Marriott €9.50 per alcoholic cocktail, €5.90 non-alcoholic, €7.50 for a smoothie, €10 for a coffee & cake
6. We had to make our own beds when we arrived, which was difficult as the rooms were so tiny
7. Campsite shop was insufficient for the amount of people needing groceries & the prices were very high, not just a little higher, but about 60% higher than a Casino mini market in Frejus. Plus the shop smelled of sewage & was full of ants
8. A Three stage check-in with Reception (which took about an hour) & then up the road with Eurocamp & then down the road to get a wrist pass (which has to be worn on your wrist & cannot go on your ankle as it states in the campsite rules!)
9. The camsite is very loud in the night, kids playing football & people having late night BBQs/drinking games etc
10. Esprit Air Con is only in lounge & not in the bedrooms/'bathroom

It is too far to walk to the beach or town from the campsite, which is difficult to find.
