This was our second visit, this time in apartment Palmier 4, excellent location with sea view from the good sized balcony. The balcony was very well equipped, with table and chairs for 2 plus 2 sun loungers, clothes airer, and very necessary Parasol. The rest of the apartment was the same as that of our previous trip, basic accommodation, two...

Le Domaine de la Mer is perfectly located on the Eastern side of the Giens Peninsula at the end of the La Badine Beach (so not as crowded on that part), close to the Village and La Tour Fondue where you can embark to Porquerolles. We stayed at the small hotel not in the rentals available on this gated site,...

We had visited Giens 3 times before, always staying in Le Provencal in the village and we used to walk down to the beach past Domaine de la Mer and one time we called in to get more information and the friendly staff invited us to look around. We decided then that we would stay here next time, and so...

Everything about our recent stay at the "domaine" was extraordinary. Our room at the hotel was comfortable (good beds!), the breakfast copious, and the beach, perfect... an idyllic spot on the Giens penisula. Although we were tourists from a distant place (the US), we received a wonderful welcome from the reception and were treated like members of the family by...

You may say this is typically french – you may be right as it shows how little can be sufficient to run a place like this successfully in this country. Rooms are made to look like something up-market, when you touch on any of the surfaces they will dissolve since it is all made of lowest price materials. In my...

We spent a relaxing week here at the end of July. We had a small two room terraced bungalow with a small garden on the edge of a pineforest which led down to a beach. There was a small pool and restaurent and cafe . We loved the area just back from the beach where they had very comfortable sun...

We stayed in one of the Domaine de la mer bungalos, and have been quite disappointed. It is way way too expensive for what it is. Walls were not very clean, stained with insects in particular. Obviously, they are never washed. Better not to look into details for cleanness...the kitchen vent for ex. The so-called terrasse/garden was half the size...

I have been to Giens in the past many times - so I knew what to expect. My wife and I stayed in the Domaine de la mer for three nights in August 2008. Giens in general is a beautiful island and not so touristic as other parts of the Cote d'azur. Hower, if you go there in July/August the...

We stayed at "Le Domaine de la Mer" for the second time in a row because we were enchanted by its location (directly on the beach in a beautiful Mediterranean stone pine park) and its style. It is a very small hotel (the property also rents appartments) completely furnitured in IKEA... We wanted to find a decent hotel directly on...
