Before arrival the hotel’s admin staff had responded quickly to my email queries and had reassured me re the suitability of room etc for my physical difficulties. We booked a disability room which proved to be excellent. It is a 3rd floor (yes the hotel has a lift) front/side facing room. The views of the promenade/seafront are extensive from the room from 2 very large picture windows and wrap around small balcony.
The room has plenty of room for storing walking aids, wheelchair etc and the bathroom is a very large wet rooms with fitted shower stool and rails in all the necessary places. The bed is height adjustable and is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in (large too) The hotel uses good quality bedding and the sheets etc felt pristine and we slept very well indeed. Yes there is some traffic noise - as you would expect in a major resort’s promenade area but with the double double glazed doors closed it is quite acceptable. The room was well serviced daily, quickly and efficiently and the housekeeping staff kept the normal coffee/tea supplies as well as the Nespresso specialist coffees topped up. Yes there are slight signs of some wear and tear..... let’s face it, not everyone can steer a wheelchair that well as some were probably down to chair /case etc scrapes. Does it matter ? Not at all.
The reception staff were attentive and quick to ask whether we needed the ramp to access the outer doors - so yes...as someone has said - there is a step up into the hotel but as I said, there is a portable ramp which can be used and which should make access easy.
We enjoyed the daily breakfast. There is plenty of choice from cooked with bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage and baked beans also a full range of continental meats and cheeses, most delicious croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruit, toast, Baguette. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel situated as it is by Parc Albert I close to the old town, shopping district and plenty of good restaurants nearby. As I have a blue disabled parking badge I could park for free in one for eh 5I/6 spaces just across the road by the park. Other than that it was nearly €25 per day in the underground car park, though there was a slightly cheaper deal to be had. Direct access to the hotel though was by a staircase or you could have the next road access by a car park lift.

The location of this hotel is great for getting around Nice, you can walk to most places or hire a scooter/bike from one of the many stores on the street. The Old Town is only a 5-10 minute walk away.

The beach is right across the road and the hotel is affiliated with one of the beach clubs (Ruhl Plage) and you can get a discounted rate.

We were upgraded to a sea view room with a balcony free of charge which was nice. The room is basic, comfortable bed, average bathroom facilities, looks quite old inside.

Overall a pleasant stay however if I were to visit Nice again I would pay extra and stay in a hotel with a rooftop pool or private beach access.

The location of this hotel is ideal close to everything; old town, shops, beach and promenade. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms ok and the rooms a reasonable size. Unfortunately when we were staying the upper floors were being worked on by the adjacent hotel. The noise was appalling. We complained and were moved down a floor and given another dreadful noisy room in which we got hardly any sleep. Our third room was better but with virtually no view and little natural light.

Had the hotel been more honest and explained the problem of noise and building works we would stayed elsewhere.

This hotel whilst not tatty needs a refurbishment to match its wonderful location. It is worth paying extra for a room on the first floor or with a sea view.

There is a car park beneath the hotel but beware if you’re on the second floor down - no lift and 72 steps.

I don’t recommend it at all !
Let me tell you why !
First we have paid 700e for 3 nights and it is supposed to be one of the best rooms and what we got : a bad quality room that has a bathroom inside the bedroom in other words there is no bathroom ! The shower is directly in the bedroom and you can’t take a shower because the water will be everywhere and you can’t enter with your shoes into the room because everything will get dirty ! Too expensive for nothing and too commercial !
Plus we accidentally booked an extra breakfast by mistake and they refused to cancel it... sadly, the breakfast is too commercial I don’t recommend, if you are looking for a healthy breakfast or french breakfast you will not find it here. A breakfast cost 15e. I recommande to get your breakfast for the best quality outside the hotel. to be honest the staff were nice but they got an unqualified manager. and be careful there is no swimming pool nor terrasse nor bar nor restaurant nor gym, nor rest guest nor library. The photos that they got, are not correct. be aware !

The location of this hotel is fantastic, directly at the Promenade des Anglais. Our room had sea view so that was fantastic. Furthermore the room was clean, the shower was good, but the room itself would require an upgrade / renovation. You could not sleep with the window open as there is too much traffic outside, even during the whole night. But the room had airconditioning, so it was not too warm inside.
The price per night was pretty high, but we expected something like this when staying on a top location in the centre of Nice.

Close to beach, but noisy by bars, city view is the building across the street. A/c was not the best, not the cleanest curtains. Has a bathtub for shower area and shower head hard to adjust so won’t spray out of tub area. But best feature is it was close to beach.

Great place to stay in Nice. Excellent location. Very efficient and friendly staff. Comfortable room and very good breakfast.
Marked down slightly as rooms are a little 'tired' and air conditioning under-powered - could do with a refresh.
Would definitely return to this hotel.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Staff are friendly but the whole hotel is very worn and in need of updating. Lifts are like service lifts and poor condition. Breakfast very basic with not much hot food choice in a very small room which is usually very busy, masks are mandatory but tables very close together. Outside the hotel is very busy and noisy with events and PA systems very early in the morning. Great location for the old town with lots of bars and restaurants, but for £200 a night definitely not value for money.

The bath towels were thin. Everything else was fine.
The bed was comfortable.
I let the front desk know about the wine stain on the carpet and that we didn't do it upon the beginning of our stay.
The Hotel was very convenient. The beach was right across the street. We took advantage of the discount vouchers they had with the private beach company they were partnered with - Ruhl Plage!
We had a wonderful stay! It was our first time!

The staff members of this hotel is not helpful at all:
1. I paid extra for a room with direct ocean view, but didn’t get one. After I showed my booking record that clearly says “sea view”, staff insisted that their system shows that I booked “garden & sea view” and refused to help, even when they have such rooms (“sea view”) available for the remaining of my stay.
2. In addition, I called multiple times before arriving at the hotel hoping to get tips on parking / unloading luggage etc. However, none of my calls were answered. So I parked in a parking structure nearby, only to find out that there is no elevators or staff available to help with my heavy luggage.

Although location is great (if indeed getting a room with direct ocean view), the overall facilities is dated. And most importantly, staff are not helpful to make my stay enjoyable. I would not recommend others to stay at this hotel.

Hi. For me, the bus was the best and cheapest way of getting there and the stops are right by the hotel. Why pay for a taxi when the bus is a fraction of the cost and no slower?
Answer from frenchinlondon

Garden view is more like view on the opposite building..... for sea view, seems that most of the rooms don’t have, but some have and you should call the hotel to make that clear whether you will get sea view or not, just don’t leave to good fortune.
