My in-laws, my wife and I have just returned yesterday from this 3* hotel in Nice. The decor of the outside, and the ground and 1st floors are very well maintained, if not a little outdated. Lovely grand staircase and very high ceilings on these floors. The receptionist was efficient, but when there was a problem with my in-laws' room,...

Stayed in room 503, right at the top, had a massive balcony with a table and chairs which was great for eating breakfast (at no extra charge), The decor is a bit dated but the hotel has lots of character and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast was included in our deal but was nothing exceptional. Lots of bread and...

booked the hotel through their site, arrived on time only to find out they overbooked and offered to send me to a hotel "around the corner" that was actually 6 blocks away. they did not offer transportation. but the worst part is that they told me the other hotel (Grand Hotel de Florence) was more expensive, and that they were...

The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk to the beach or the bus station, within easy reach of everything one really wants to visit! Matisse museum is 10-15 minutes away by bus (bus stop 3 minutes walk), Old Nice about 10 minutes walk as well. The room was recently renovated, light with high seilings, a bit small though, very...

We were really pleased with our stay at this hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is ideal for those happy to walk as it is only 5 minutes walk to the city centre with the main shops and railway, or a 10 minute walk in the other direction for the bus station,...

This is a lovely old hotel, which has been modernized somewhat successfully. The public spaces, including a grand staircase, are quite attractive. A number of the rooms have been turned into suites, which can accommodate large groups. Basically, because of the high ceilings, they were able to install lofts to accomplish this. The look is bizarre -- something like a...

We stayed at the Hotel Vendome two nights prior to a cruise 23-25 August. The hotel is in a good part of the city about five blocks from the Promenade des Anglais and a 10 minute walk to the main bus station (Gare Routiere). We took the Airport Bus 98 with all our luggage. If I had it to do...

I have mixed feelings about this well located hotel because we had two different rooms which were very different. Room 105 was very pleasant with traditional grand decoration, with a very high decorated ceiling, a king size bed, and a large balcony. Room 103, on the other hand, was a cramped and rather dingy duplex with low modern ceilings, and...

We stayed in the hotel for 5 days as part of our honeymoon. The location is ok, but not great - 10 mins from Promenade des Anglais. Halls looked good, very well decorated. Room was pretty small, but acceptable - on 2 levels. Breakfast very poor, no eggs. No refill on the soaps, shampoos we got in the beginning. Don't...

“go for slightly more expensive room, this gives you a bit more space and balcony”

“Room was average, nothing special. They could use some updating, especially the carpet. Toilet flushes weird, it uses a lot of water but didn't seem to flush all the way. Sometimes there's smell coming out of it. The shower had the half glass cover. We had to be careful when showering to avoid splashing too much water on the floor.”
