This is not a luxury hotel but they definitely take care of details that make this hotel stand out from most 3 stars hotels.
Location is great. 5’ walk to tram station. 8-10’ walk to train station (to Monaco, etc), 15’ walk to Old City or the beach boulevard. 20-25’ ride from airport (30-35€)
Staff very polite and professional, always willing to help.
Breakfast is good. The lady that works on the breakfast room keeps everything very clean and replenishes constantly.
Towels are big and soft (as on a 5 star hotel)
Available towels for the beach.
Rooms spacious and clean.
Recommendation to management: Replace tent on the main entrance. It is old and torn and the hotel appears to be not well maintained, it is the first impression guests have. I really thought I had made a mistake by booking this hotel when the taxi dropped us off. I’m happy I didn’t. We had a nice stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights on B&B basis. The hotel is ideally situated just 5 mins from Jean Médecin tram line 2 so easy accessible from the airport. The hotel is very close to good restaurants and bars and only 15 mins walk to Promenade and The Old Town so ideally situated.

Hotel staff were warm and welcoming and happy to store our bags for us as we arrived early and a few hours before normal check in. We had a room on the 4th floor and although the rooms are not huge they are well decorated and have all the facilities you want, kettle, safe, fridge, etc. Lovely bathroom waterfall shower and a small balcony looking down the avenue and towards the hillside. Comfortable and sizeable beds

Breakfast is served in a small quaint breakfast area on the lower floor and there is enough choice of good quality hot & cold foods which were regularly replenished. Good coffee too

We loved our stay here and would most definitely recommend and return to. Merci beaucoup....

We traveled as a couple. getting here was an easy transfer via blue line train from the airport to stop at Jean Medicin which is two minutes from the Hotel.
Check in was fast and easy, we were delighted to get an upgrade from the standard room, the lady at reception was warm and welcoming and an excellent front of house person overall.
The Hotel is so well located, we walked everywhere although there are tram stops within 5 minutes, the area certainly feels safe.

Breakfast is very good with a wide choice, you will not leave hungry.
There is no bar worth mentioning, this can be a bonus as it results in a quieter stay but it is useful to have one, hat said within 10 minutes you had choices so not an issue.
The Hotel is about a 12 minute walk to the main train station which gives access to Cannes / Monaco etc.
We have already decided to return, the staff were very nice and that makes it.

We stayed 3 nights here on the 5th floor. For just under €200/night you have to put up with too many issues. As many mention, the tiny elevator is a real problem during the busy time of breakfast and checkout, as they overlap. Many took the stairs but being on the 5th floor, why should we have too! Our AC unit was hopeless. It wouldnt cool the room below 24C and pulsed, which made it hard to sleep. I did ask reception if it could be looked at, which was no problem according to them. Nothing changed and no feedback as to why. The front panel of the AC unit was also missing, which made it look ugly and did not allow airflow direction to be adjusted. The unit was full of dust, which I suspect was the problem, the filters needed cleaning. The room was spacious and well cleaned. I certainly give housekeeping plenty of credit as they often do not get a mention unless it is negative. The pillows provided for the bed were like putting your head on a brick, again, difficult to sleep. Breakfast was good, with a variety of hot and cold options, although the small room can make it a very noisy occasion if you get some loud guests. We stayed here back in 2016 and had fond memories of the hotel, however, we are unlikely to be back. There are some issues they need to address. I think you could get better value for money elsewhere.

Loved this hotel, very quirky and eclectic with interesting design touches. Inviting reception with small bar and seating area. Excellent location for beach front, restaurants, bars, shops, old town. Train station 7/8 mins walk and tram stop for airport practically across road. We had an executive room and was a good size, big bathroom, open wardrobe but had to hang dresses on back of bathroom door. Big firm but comfy bed. Hotel and surrounding street was quiet at night. Enjoyed a good breakfast choice in the basement. Again fresh and clean looking with quirky touches. The staff were very polite, hard working and always acknowledged you unless they were busy on desk. Hotel spotless and in good decor. Yes lift is small but this is not a new build but an older building with lots of typical French character, some rooms have Juliette windows which gave an openness to the room. I have read a recent strong review complaining about Wi-Fi, I use my data but my husband logged in and had no issues, to comment it was better in Holiday Inn across road, I would like to add, we have stayed there (business) many times and the Wi-Fi in the hotel bedrooms was weak. Also to comment that a request for a French restaurant was answered ‘to turn right out of hotel’, if the reviewer did precisely that there are three typical good french restaurants right there. Would definitely stay again. Tip for airport city tram, download Nice Ticket app and buy tickets, you validate them just before boarding, quicker than queuing for machine. Also any spare still worked a year later !

We loved our stay at this modern hotel. The rooms were spacious, nice furniture, great city atmosphere. The location is great - close to the beach as well as old Nice without being too touristy. The hotel is on a busy street so not the quietest but you can still get a good nights sleep as everything is very comfortable. Very clean and well maintained.
Helpful and polite staff and great experience overall. We loved our time here.

We stayed at this hotel Friday & Saturday evening at a cost of €460 for the 2 nights. It's very conveniently located between the train station, tram line 2 and the beach. Very quiet in the evenings which was welcome as the Promenade area was very loud at night with different events /music each evening.

Room was nice and large, very clean and breakfast was a nice variety. Coffee was also great. Air conditioning in the room was also great.

Clothes hanging area was unusual, not long enough to hang a dress or a large sized polo shirt.

Disappointed there's a fridge in the room but no bottled water (especially when it was 32c all weekend) and a single bottle of water was €5 - the same bottle was 0.43c in the local supermarket.

Otherwise recommended

Little hotel with friendly service, newly renovated rooms with perfectly functioning AC. The breakfast was well worth the money. It was quite a small breakfast, but everything was of best quality from the fresh juices to bread, pastry and fruits, not to mention cheese, ham and the warm foods. Priseworthy stay. We stayed for 10 days and will choose this hotel even nest year!

Worse hotel in all our stay in France. The staff is unbelievably rude. We dealt with three differed front desk people, and they were all rude beyond belief. Like they hate people. Every single one of them.

The air conditioning didn't work in the room. I let them know at the front desk on day one, and they said they would send the technician to fix it. They never did.

The WIFI didn't work and we had to access the internet. When we asked the front desk about it, he actually said "you stay at the hotel to sleep, not to work". We had to go to the Holiday Inn across the street in order to work.

We contacted Hotels.com to try move to the Holiday Inn across the street for our last two days, but the hotel did not agree to cancel it, so we had to stay or lose 600.00 (yes, they charged 300.00 per night).

Does anyone know the cost for a taxi possibly a transfer to/from the airport?
Answer from nroe
Brackley Beach, Canada165 contributions112 helpful votes
Taxis are a notorious ripoff in Nice and everyone seems to know it. It’s a flat rate of 35 euros to the airport and probably the same into town ever it is only about 2-3 kms. The new tram runs now and is a better ride for 1.50 euros if you don’t have too many bags. Uber works there too and is much cheaper as well. Lovely city but avoid taxis. Trams and buses are great. Bon chance.

Hi, I booked directly with the hotel website and received a great rate. Why not ring them , there may be a reason for the inflated amount. Typically a European holiday weekend etc.
