We visit Nice every year but have never stayed here before. However we will always stay here in future . Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Large, comfortable bed and the room was very spacious and clean. Lovely bar area with nice cocktails and drinks. We had a classic double room with a partial city view -I think we would pay the extra for a sea view next time as the view wasn’t great but it was very quiet. It’s in a great location. We enjoyed walking along the promenade and into the town in the evening for drinks and a meal. Although it was early January some of the bars and restaurants were still quite busy. It’s just a 10-15 minute walk to the station ( just take the first road on left from the hotel). We took the train to Monaco one day - only a 20 minute journey. We usually drive when we go there but the train journey was much easier and quicker. Overall we loved our stay here and would certainly recommend it. The only thing I would add ( and a previous traveller also commented on this) is that one of the reasons I originally booked the hotel was because of the pool/ spa area and it’s not really clear that you have to book this and pay for it ( 30 euros for 2 hours ) . Maybe it would be nice to allow you a free hour in there if you are staying for a few nights ? Also the hair dryer is poor. You have to keep your fingers pressed hard on the control to make it work ( not great when you have long hair that takes 15 minutes plus to blow dry !!! Felt like I’d done a work out ! ). So bring your own if you need to use one. Thank you to all the staff for such a pleasant stay .

On a chilly Saturday night, with friends we were warmly welcomed as we turfed up for an impromptu dinner at the Westminster Hotel along the Promenade des Anglais. Fairly limited menu but really tasty food matched with fairly reasonably priced ( given location, quality of the hotel etc ) wine. Service was good, so overall, an enjoyable dinner. Our friends have praised the Westminster’s set lunches as very good & very good value, so will give lunch a try next time.

We spent a few days in this hotel brilliant location on the promenade des Anglais, you can visit nice walk ,if possible for a real happiness ask for a sea view room. All the staff is very attentive to you from the welcome to the lady of the bar who is very good advice and a sublime breakfast where we prepare you pancake or eggs on request in addition to the buffet. The restaurant is excellent like the lobster salade or the lamb a real delicacy with a nice view .this is rally a place to be if you want to enjoy your stay in Nice

We have stayed here for a couple of nights this weekend. We paid for a sea view room which was lovely. The room was a little small and the bed seemed on the short side (neither of us are especially tall). The room was clean. The cooked breakfast was cold on both mornings. The continental was fine. They could do with at least one more waiter. We had a free hour in the spa which we had to book (even though we were just using the pool, steam room etc). We went this morning. There was a group of women who took over the jacuzzi and we weren’t able to get in. The sauna was broken. The pool was small and cold. The steam room was nice. We didn’t use the full hour. We would go back purely for the location alone - it’s 10-15min walk to the old town and very easy to get to on the tram from the airport.

My boyfriend and I just stayed here during Carnaval and this hotel was perfect. We fell asleep every night listening to the waves below our balcony and it was an easy walk to all festivities. Our bathroom was American style, with a large shower and double sinks, and the provided toiletries were nice. Our room was very large and extremely comfortable and we both slept very well every night. The only reasons I did not give this hotel an "excellent" review were that breakfast was just ok compared to similar hotels I've stayed at and that use of the pool is not included in the cost of the room and is quite a bit extra. Besides that everything else was wonderful and I would absolutely stay here again next time I am in Nice.

This was, no doubt, once a grand seafront hotel. Now it is part of the Best Western franchise, and is a typical Best Western place - OK, but ordinary and dull. The bar was over-priced, trading on its sea view. The buffet breakfast was also over-priced, offered cold scrambled egg and only one choice of (rubbery) cheese to go with the cooked meats. Croissants were limp. Room clean and comfortable, but the lights went out as soon as the room "key" was removed from the switch (rather than after a short delay), leaving one fumbling in the dark. Service impersonal.

We booked a double room with single beds, just for one night.
We arrived in the hotel and the check in was terrible, unfriendly and the beautiful pictures of the lobby and hotel on booking.com aren’t representative.

When we entered the room is was bloody hot, the airconditioning was set to maximum heat, i think for the last week or so. We tried to switch it to cooling but it didn’t work. We asked the reception, they said the airconditioning is turned off for the season.

We asked for another room, even the helpful staff understood you can’t sleep in this room. But the reception lady and finally the manager won’t help.

Finally we checked out and find a hotel nearby, with airconditioning and a helpful staff. I got my money back after several phonecalls and e-mails to booking.com.

To be honest, never, never book this hotel, don’t take the change. It’s not beautiful, it is certainly not a 4-star hotel… view on the ocean is beautiful(if you have seaside view) we had a dark alley(cityside).

I never understood why unfriendly people work at a hotel. If they had booked a (expensive) room for themselves they wouldn’t accept this either.

Please read the reviews from other people, even the better ratings write about the bad staff and rooms.

We visited the hotel the 25th of February (Carnival weekend).

When we arrived (21:00, straight from the airport), we were told that the kitchen is opened until 21:30.

We went up for a quick refresh with my wife and 4 years old daughter, and when we came down at 21:15, we were told that the kitchen is closed. We explained that we have just been told that the kitchen should close at 21:30, and the new excuse was that the restaurant was full (with one room absolutely empty, and the second one ⅔ empty). We insisted, and the kitchen was closed again.

They finally proposed us to chose whatever we wanted from the menu but we would need to eat in our room. Delivery of food was promised within 20 minutes from order.

When they came with the food more than one hour later, they proposed that we eat directly on the bed. It took them another 10 minutes to find a foldable table, a couple of glasses and the water that was ordered with the meals.

This hotel is a shame and only benefits from its location. But go there only if there is no other solution. From my side, I'd rather postpone my weekend rather than going back to this shameful place !

Nice Hotel in a great position, very confortable with pleasant staff, rooms adequate although I wouldn't like to have to spend too much time in the room, breakfast was disappointing all self service, same menu every day, kept warm so not very appetizing, can't comment on the evening meal as we felt 38 euros per person was a bit steep. The spa was okay and it was included in our package. Nice is a rediculously expensive place to visit but its lively and the temperature was great 18 degrees in February can't be bad.One thing to be really aware off is the rip off station taxi drivers 24 Euros to drive us to our Hotel, the journey took us 15 mins to walk. The annual Carnival which is from the 15th of Feb to the 29th of Feb is well worth a visit,

From the location, the check in, the room/bathroom, food, the bar through to check out I really cannot fault. This is a true 4 star hotel and quite extraordinary value for money.
Wonderful service across the board even down to room service who did not even bat an eyelid when I called 5 minutes before full service closed (24h service with limited menu by the way is available!) and when I fell poorly - in the early hours - reception helped my partner identify a 24h pharmacy and even called them for her to ensure they were open and had meds required in case of language difficulty.
Bravo, many thanks and well done - will definately be back!

The pool costs 30€, which is absurd considering the room costs at this hotel. The “private beach” they advertise costs an additional 25€.
