We were upgraded to a 'comfort' room. The room itself is very spacious, but quite bare. There is a feel that it has been newly refurbished but the dressing table looks like it's been taken from a battered youth hostel.

The shower room was good, nice clean shower. The toilet is separate and whereas the shower room has a nice solid proper door, the toilet has a sliding panel, which is quite heavy and not that easy to open. It feels like they were trying to save on space so used a slider, whereas a proper door would be nicer. The toilet room wasn't properly cleaned, you could see the dirt, grime and hairs under the threshold which wasn't very pleasant.

Breakfast was included in our price but would be expensive to pay for it separately (10.50) for what you get. Mini pastries a little bit of fruit, cheese and some cold meats. Had it not been included we would most definitely have eaten out.

There is good parking on site for a limited amount of cars so you need to book. It's safe and secure within the gates of the hotel. Again, it is expensive 18euros a day, but there are very few options elsewhere. On street parking is very limited and you have to pay and display.

In terms of location, not bad. only a minutes walk to the beach and about 20 to the old town and central areas.

Good thing is that the hotel is located nearby the promenade and beach. Right opposite, there's a Carrefour and several restaurants. To the city center, it takes about 15-20mins by foot. The staff was friendly, spoke English and the rooms were appropriately cleaned every day. Ther was AC which was convenient and a small TV (maybe too small given the distance to the bed). The room was clean. What could be improved is the light: it was too dark in the room itself. In the hallway, the light was blue (as in the public restrooms to prevent drug users to see veins) - something which is definitely not suited for a hotel. Unfortunately, the walls and floors were not very well isolated that the noised from the next rooms and also from the rooms one floor above and below could be heard. Otherwise, WiFi recpetion was good and the stay okay.

Wonderful place to stay in Nice. We loved staying at La Villa. It was extremely convenient to explore Nice. It's only a block from the Promenade des Anglais and an easy walk to the pedestrian zone, old town, flower market, Garibaldi square etc... or you can grab a bus from the Promenade or a tram from Alsace-Lorraine. Jonathan from the front desk was truly Exceptional in mapping out the best places to visit. We had a triple room that was spacious and comfortable. Reserving parking in their private lot (20 eur per day) made life extremely easy -- but there are also other parking options nearby if you don't want o commit to that. We did not do breakfast as there are so many wonderful bakeries nearby, including Bio Brod (which has many gluten free options), but everyone who ate there seemed very happy as well. We would absolutely stay there again.

Best place to stay in Nice, and we have stayed in many different hotels there but now we only go here.
Staff so friendly and helpful, parking on site big plus, just opposite the beaches, we can walk to the old town in 20 minutes but others maybe can't, so be aware there'll be walking, but hey, it's along the Promenade so hardly a great chore. We love it. Yes, a little fridge or tea/coffee facilities might be nice as it was really hot and nowhere to cool our drinking water, but I think they are considering that when we mentioned it as we left. Was able to go back to my room during the day, rest, shower after swimming, no problem.
Just lovely.

This hotel is pretty much near everything. The beach is only about a 3 minute walk so it’s perfect if you want to be near the beach. It’s surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and most importantly bakeries. Every morning I walked to a bakery in the area, before watching the sunrise. I also walked to Old Town which is about a 20 minute walk. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and it’s perfect if you prefer not to walk. My room was cute and had a view overlooking shops, cafes, etc. I would definitely recommend others to stay here when visiting Nice.

The staff was wonderful-friendly and attentive to the highest level. The location near the beach is ideal and the hotel facilities are very memorable. The lobby, reception area and dining room are clean, well appointed and the atmosphere makes you feel welcome. The rooms were very well decorated and spacious for our group of three people.

Also, I was using crutches due to a recent knee surgery and the staff went way out their way to accommodate me and to make my stay a great experience.

Our travel agent placed us in this hotel as part of a multi-city visit to the south of France. It is one block from the Promenade so very easy to enjoy the beautiful views of the sea and beach area. The hotel was clean and had a breakfast that was good enough (had all the necessities but nothing special). The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke multiple languages.

The hotel has a great location near the promenade and the beach. The complimentary beach towels were much appreciated. The property is nicely decorated and the breakfast was decent. However our room shouldn't have been sold as a double as it was the tiniest room I've ever stayed in. 3pm check in is pretty inconvenient and we have also found some of the reception staff quite unpleasant.

We stayed here for 5 nights over the New Year holiday and generally everything was ok. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was generally clean and well located close to the Promenade. The only really down side was that the rooms were bijou to say the least with our shower room in particular being extremely small.
Overall everything was fine but it was really difficult to see how this could claim to be a 4 Star hotel.

Really enjoyed this hotel and the location. The rooms beautiful and amazing shower. Close to the promenade but somehow this location felt a bit more local. Yet lots of restaurants around. Seemed like they have a parking so great option if you’re traveling by car.

Sorry my room was on an upper floor. However I don't think there were any rooms on the ground floor that faced the street.

We're getting a bus from the airport, is number 98 bus the closest to the hotel and where do we get off?
Answer from Hayley H
Liverpool, United Kingdom77 contributions52 helpful votes
Yes it is. At the airport you'll be told an area to wait at for the promenade bus. I think its area No 6. They come every 20 mins. Going back to the airport, at the corner of the street the hotel is on you'll see a bus stop where you can pick up the 98 bus which goes to both terminals. I think you can pick it up at quite a few stops along the promenade
