The hotel has a really good location right at the beach. We stayed on the second floor in a sea view room, and the view of the ocean is amazing.

The room had a good size. It is a little dated but very clean and neat and a nice modern bathroom. There is air condition and a small fridge. The air-condition worked a little too well. It is set at 19 degrees and we were told not to touch the settings, so the room got a little too cold when we turned it on.

The breakfast is served outside on the terrace which is really nice. The food is fresh but very basic (typically French) with a piece of baguette and a croissant pr. person, some coffee and a small glass of orange juice. I was a little disappointed since former guests have described in their reviews that they also had some fresh fruit and eggs included in the breakfast. Also, the coffee was served in an open pitcher and sort of lukewarm.

We only met one person – the manager - who seemed to be there all the time and doing all the tasks. He was very courteous and friendly and spoke excellent English.

The beach across from the hotel is a pebble beach and very nice. A lot of people and life from early morning to late night. The water is deep and good for swimming. The private beach clubs are extremely expensive. Don’t waste your money going there. You can buy beach chairs and umbrellas in the supermarket for less than the price of a day pass.

There is tram and buses 2 minutes from the hotel and you can go everywhere for 1,5 euro. Also, lots of shops and cafés in the neighborhood. We ate twice at the Brasserie Magnan just around the corner. Amazing food and cocktails at very reasonable prices. A walk to the old town is about 25 minutes along the beach promenade.

All together a very nice little hotel and very good value for money compared to other hotels in the neighborhood. We would come back 😊

Hotel Flots d'Azur was one of the great positive surprises on our recent trip to the Cote d'Azur in France. This boutique hotel enjoys a fabulous location on the Promenade and a wonderful unobstructed ocean view if you book an ocean-view room (as we did). The rooms are modern and relatively spacious by European standards. Our host and owner, Joseph, could not have been nicer or more accommodative. He also speaks English! He really went out of his way to ensure every aspect of our stay in his hotel met our expectations. He offers parking onsite and breakfast if you want it. It is hard to believe you can get this room for so much less than competitive hotels on the Promenade that are no as nice! The only minor drawback is there is no elevator as it is a boutique hotel. But if you don't mind carrying your luggage to your room it is the best deal in Nice!

I like this place. We have been here twice already, it is ideally located and easily accessible. The owner is welcoming, friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable with a beautiful view on the sea and the breakfast is rich and nice specifically if you can have it on the terrace.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband. We rented a car and they have parking for a fee but kind of a pain because the manager had to keep shuffling cars. They don’t have a parking lot just a drive way he parks the cars in. Joseph was very accommodating and always there. So no big deal. We stayed in room 202, partial sea view room. It was nice. Bathroom was a nice size. If you needed something the staff got it for you. I would suggest they invest in an iron and ironing board. We did not have the breakfast. There is a bakery around the corner with the best croissants. The beach is just across the street but I would suggest water shoes. The beach is rocks not sand so you can’t walk barefoot and the ocean is the same. The walk to old town is a little over a mile but the tram is right behind hotel. We took the tram once. Overall a great stay and I would stay again.

A modest hotel with great views overlooking the ocean and the Promenade des Anglais. The owner could not have been more friendly. He helped carry our very heavy bags up to our room (no elevator) and made us coffee in the morning. The rooms are tiny and the beds ok. There was peeling paint on the stairs. We were a little concerned by the metal storm shutters on the windows so did not leave any valuables in the room. That being said, the owner told us how to get in after hours and was not worried about us being out late. We walked back along the promenade from the happening Safari restaurant on a saturday night after 11pm and felt safe.

This is a small, charming, family run hotel, with the most amazing views. The owner is incredibly gracious and you really do feel welcome. It's in a quiet neighborhood, around the corner from the number two tram line, a good brasserie, and a very good boulangerie. We stayed both here and in an apartment further in the middle of the city, if I had to do it over again, I'd stay at this hotel the whole time. It's about a mile from the old city but there is a bus that gets there quite easily right out front, and you can always rent a bike.
Highly recommend.

Location to the beach and tranaportation were very close. I had a great view of the sea from my room. Joseph, the own, was very helpful and friendly. The accomodate you with beach supplies such as towels, umbrella, pad to place on the sand, and sun block lotion. The room was very quite despite being on the main street. There is a grocery store very close by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nice.

I was initially skeptical as the outside could do with a coat of paint and same with the hallway. However I was being judgemental to be honest. The room overlooked the sea and it was a beautiful view. The room was very clean with working air con, a safe, electric shutters and a modern bathroom. The owner has a fantastic sense of humour and I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Nice. The location is perfect, you have the beach across the road, a walk or tram to the old town and great train links to Cannes, Monaco etc

I highly recommend Hotel Flots d'Azur for anyone visiting Nice. We stayed here for 4 nights. This is a lovely small family hotel right at the beachfront. The location is unbeatable. We got a triple room with two big windows facing the sea and the view is incredible. We can enjoy the sun and beach on the bed! The room was spacious. The hotel owner Joseph has been a professional hotel manager in Paris, and he and his family managed to keep the service standard for this hotel high. Joseph is so charming and considerate. We can really talk and get along with each other well. Joseph really made our stay a memorable experience.
