Very nice little hotel with an excellent location, and very welcoming staff. Clean room, nice bed and very nice breakfast.
Rooms are small, but that does not do anything for the score, since we don't mind. Small fridge in the room is a plus.

Ideally located a mere 2 minute walk from the new underground tram station the hotel is easily accessible from the airport via Tram 2 at a cost of €1.50. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the reception staff who excitedly confirmed we were their 'guests of the day's' and our room had been complimentary upgraded. Our room was upgraded from a superior double to their suite. What a lovely bright room with massive bed, sofa, fridge, kettle, nespresso machine and bottled water. There was a lovely note welcoming us along with a small pot of honey from their own roof top bee hives and small box of local magnolia soap and perfume. Large bathroom with toiletries and large shower. There is a small bar on the first floor with a small limited menu. You ring the bell for service perfect for a sit down and quick beer and glass of wine after a long day sightseeing. After 2pm there is a coffee machine with complimentary coffee or hot chocolate available. Breakfast was included which was varied, continental breakfast something for everyone. The location is fabulous, easy walk to train station or in the opposite direction easy walk to the old town and beach. There are a multitude of cafes, restaurants shops. I can't recommend enough. I'm already planning my next visit.

The hotel location is excellent , less than 2 min walk from the nearest tram station Iine 2 (L2) station is called Jean Médecin , which is a direct train from and to the airport , you can easily walk to everywhere , central and nice area everything is near by .

All staff are very polite and friendly , breakfast was good , ladies working in the breakfast area are very polite , helpful and attentive , the hotel is spotless , attention to details in every little thing around the hotels , even the stairs are well decorated.

The hotel is definitely a friendly, clean & nice central hotel

The only downside that my room was pretty noisy , the noise comes from the adjacent room(s )was a bit too much I wonder if the walls are thin or what’s the reason behind this , or maybe because the building is old

We stayed a couple of days at the Florence hotel in Nice and we did not enjoy our stay.
The reception consist of a narrow corridor jamed paked with luggages arriving to a tiny reception area which was around 2 square meters with an arrogant receptionnist who sounded like Spanish.
Then you have the rooms with paper thin walls and I mean you could hear everything from your next door neighbours from all sides. That's how bad the lack of sound proofing was,and being in central Nice ,it was very noisy and you could even hear the train nearby early mornings. The cleaning was awfully done ,the smell of suage coming up from the water pipes was disgusting. When you try to report it to the staff they give you some fake smiles all the time without resolving anything ,a bit of sincerety and honnesty would we welcomed especially when charging 200 euros a night.A joke.
The only one who caught our attention was a very nice guy working at night with very good English ,I think going by the name of magic or something like that (sorry do not remember his name) but he was really magic as we saw him from the next door restaurant taking the rubbish bags out ,then at the reception ,then welcoming us in ,he even offered us some free water going all the way down to the staff area while he looked very busy at the reception ,to get us some water as we did not have change to buy it from the vending machine. We also saw him preparing at the breakfast room in the morning making sure that everything was ready for us.A truly sincere guy with no fake smiles.Unfortunately we won't be coming back.200 euros a night will take us a long way to a 4 or 5 stars next time.

Dear Mahemat, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience regarding your recent stay at the Hôtel Florence nice. We are truly sorry your experience did not match your expectations. One of the strength of our hotel is the quality of the service provided by our reception staff, which is why I am surprised to hear about your disappointment, as our staff is always willing to help our guest the best they can. The cleaning is very important to us and if hasn’t been done correctly I sincerely apologize. The price we charge really is reasonable, you would have had to pay three times what you did if you had booked a 4 or 5 star hotel. Nonetheless, I am glad to read Madjid provided a good service, your kind words toward him will be shared. I hope we will have the chance to welcome you again in better conditions Kind regards, Liliya MEYNARD – General Manager

We were upgraded on arrival to a larger room. Thank goodness the upgraded room was just the right size. Lift or stairs your choice, nice breakfast room too with good options.
However quality is lacking all over the hotel. Our light switch fell off at first touch, we had ants in our room the day before we left, the communal lounge area is dirty and worn out and tired. The fruit at breakfast is out of a tin and the pastries cold.
Here is the worst part and we have gone elsewhere if we had known. The air conditioning and the heating are all controlled centrally. Either everyone has heating or everyone has air conditioning the hotel decides. We had to ask for fans on our first night before this became apparent.
On a quite city centre street two minutes from all shops and train station.
Staff were helpful where they could be.

Hotel Florence was one of four hotels we visited during our summer holidays. I would have rated the hotel with one if we didn’t accidentally meet the manager who was very kind. Upon arriving at the hotel after 3 hours driving, my son wanted to use the toilet in the room immediately. Only to find brown stains on the toilet sit… no need to mention what was that… once I personally disinfect the toilet and my son used it, I contacted the reception in order to complain… the receptionist asked whether I took pictures of it… I don’t usually take pictures of someone elses stains!!! Nevertheless, the day after the room was cleaned properly and they left us an apology note stating about offering us gifts and drinks in the room.. I looked all around the room in order to find the drinks but unfortunately no luck… only to learn from the receptionist that I could go and get the drinks from the bar (beg and will give you some colas and ice tees!!). Luckily the last day had arrived and we had to check out obly to find out that the lift was not working…. Again I contacted the receptionist as our room was on the fifth floor… We are a family of five and had five suitcases… They sent one person who came up once to pick one luggage and the rest I had to carry them as my children are very young… Never again visiting this place and I will definitely discourage anyone going there…

Dear Guest, We thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear about your bad experience. Please be aware that all the feedbacks are taken seriously from me and my team in order to improve ourselves in our service. The rooms are cleaned and controlled every day, but unfortunately a mishap might happen. You should have contacted our 24 hours reception as soon as you saw the dirt, we could have sent you a maid or even change you to another room for your comfort. Our team indeed put some drinks and snacks in the bar the day after to apologize for the inconvenience, however when you could not find them, our receptionist offered you to serve you some drinks directly at the bar at your convenience. During the pick season, we might encounter some technical issues and we always try to find the best solution for our guest satisfaction. At the time of your check-out, unfortunately, the elevator was out of order and the technician was on his way and the issue was fixed 30 minutes later. We sent you our handyman to help you carry your family bags, but at this time of the day, we did not have anybody else on board to help you out. Nonetheless, I hope you will give us another chance and will stay wiith us again so you can have a better experience. If I can help you in any way, do not hesitate to contact me directly by phone by calling +33493888647. Best regards, Liliya MEYNARD - General Manager

Location very good, staff very nice and helpful, 0-24 reception, breakfast delicious, wifi good to use, room and furniture ok, lift ok, green hotel, two nearby tram stops and a big supermarket, price was good in January.

The quality of the cleaning, either in the room or in the breakfast room is not at all satisfactory. At breakfast, the staff are overworked and do not pay attention, they wipe the dirty table and chairs with a cloth and then use their hands to grab the plates, cutlery, glasses and put them on the table, and they grab them where they touch them with dirty gloves. Plates, cups and cutlery put out to be clean were more times dirty and had to be returned to be replaced.
There is no spare cutlery on display.
The breakfast, although delicious and of high quality, is extremely boring for a week, nothing is replaced and there is little choice, or for example the pancakes were not available for the last two days, we don't know why, we only got a smile when we asked. Regularly we went down to the small dining room to find piles of dirt on the tables, only slowly did the guests get a clean table, again the staff were overworked, but still a problem.
In the room there is a strong lack of maintenance and the cleaning here is also of poor quality, in addition, we had to be told that we ran out of soap, toilet paper, shower gel, although we asked for two cleanings in a week, but even then we did not get without request only on request.
These things do need to be taken care of.

Dear Tamas 973, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are truly thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and that our staff was available and helpfull to you. It is very unfortunate that you found our breakfast staff inefficient and we take into account your remarks in order to improve our service. What a pitty that you haven’t told the front desk about the room cleaning. Please note that for your comfort the manager can be called upon your request to help deal with all the issues you may encounter during your stay. We take overall quality very seriously and we thank you for all your suggestions. We are happy to hear that you loved our pancakes. As you can imagine, they are being victims of their own success and as much as we order they surely run out each time especially during Chandeleur days 😊. When something on our menu runs out, we always try to replace it with something new to make a colorfull breakfast which is partly organic and local products. We wish we could have done more to make your stay enjoyable and we surely hope to welcome you again at Hotel Florence to take extra care of you. Kind regards Liliya MEYNARD General Manager

Stayed here as part of a BA short break deal which did not disappoint. Hotel staff excellent and attentive. The rooms are clean and comfy but basic and is centrally located just a very short walk from lots of restaurants and the beachfront.

Would recommend if you're looking for a nice and comfortable hotel that's well located when on a budget but not compromising too much.

We really enjoyed our stay at this brilliantly located hotel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a family room with small balconies which was lovely. Our Super king size bed was very comfortable and we had good sleep. Our children ages 8 and 11 slept on the sofa bed which they said was nice too. The breakfast had a good selection of fruits, cereals, pastry and the usual continental cheese and hams - very satisfied considering it’s a 3 star hotel. We would definitely return to this hotel on our return to Nice. Thank you to all the staff for the pleasant stay.

I traveled with a group of 18 and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful. The breakfast room was well-appointed and well-stocked. The rooms were quiet and had excellent amenities, even providing samples from a local perfumerie Fragonard! I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future!

The metro is literally outside the airport. We got on the T2 and got off at Jean Medicin. It was 1.50 euros. There is an app Nice Tickets which makes life easier to purchase tickets.
