As with other reviews, this was a good location near Jean Médicin, the tram and the Nice-Ville train station but my room, particularly the bathroom, was very small and not really worth what I paid. The shower was great though. I suspect the rates are currently inflated due to the Rugby World Cup.

The hotel does need updating and a bit of TLC. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice (pastries, bread, cereals, cheese, hams and scrambled egg, bacon and sausages) and the room where it was served was clean. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as both nights I stayed I could hear the TV playing in another room until quite late.

There is a lift although it is quite old-fashioned and small too.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the main Jean Medecin street which means you are right in the middle of the action and shopping just 200 meters from the hotel. Also, the promenade is about 12 min walk from the hotel. Fast food joints like Mcdonalds and KFC are within 2 min walking distance, as are pharmacies, convenience store and other eateries. Nice-Ville station is about a 5-6 min walk.

We had mixed experience with the staff - the lady managing the desk in the morning was helpful and responsive, however, the one managing in the evening was very rude and not helpful at all.

The hotel is located in a quiet street next to the shopping area and the railway station. It has been recently renovated. The rooms are simple but the bedding is of good quality, it is only missing a safe. I would position it as a good 2+ category hotel. The breakfast is very good and the reception staff very welcoming.

Good location, clean room, french breakfast. Although the name of the hotel refers to the center, it is quite far from the beach and the city center. The hotel building is interesting in architecture, but the rooms do not have a beautiful view. Breakfast has quality products but every day is the same menu.
However, overall, the price / quality ratio is excellent!

Really like this hotel, it is central for attractions, shops, cafes and restaurants.
The staff are lovely and friendly. The hotel is spotless.
The bedroom was quiet and had everything needed except a safe, that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5!
Breakfast was good, plenty coffee, tea, bread, yogurt, fruit and pancakes!
Sleep quality was excellent!

Stayed for 7 nights. Great hotel ,clean, nice room, good bed, lovely air conditioning on all the time to keep room cool. Dark skinned lady on reception was very helpful, friendly. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. A credit to the company. Good location just off Jean Medecin Avenue, close to Monoprix supermarket and train station. Tram stops. About a mile to beach, Place Massena. Didn't try breakfast. Hope to stay here again .Nice is lovely. Took the train to Antibes and Monaco, boat to St Tropez. Have been to Nice four times. Hope to return again. Lovely city. Thanks for a Great stay. Merci Beaucoup!

Most places don't have air conditioning in Nice and this was critical for us to sleep. The rooms were very nice and the shower was perfect. Beds were comfy and there was free wifi and plenty of storage space for us. The lobby isn't anything special. Skip the breakfast and eat elsewhere. Great value hotel for the price. The staff was tops. Anique is a gem!!

Upon arrival at the hotel, the reception lady was more interested in completing the computer work than checking us in.
When she did serve us, she was quick to assign our room keys and sent us on our way. No warm welcome, no city maps, no details of breakfast on offer. Nothing..

Before we exited the hotel to go exploring this beautiful city, we did ask the same reception lady for maps and things to see. She was more helpful and welcoming on this occasion.

Rooms are clean, basic and quiet good in size for an ibis hotel.
Sound proofing is good.

WiFi is free, it requires name and email address before each 24 hour usage period. Problem is, as we encountered, you have to re input this info every time your device goes to sleep or times out.

The hotel is situated about a 5 minute walk from the main Nice train station and 1 block from the main city centre and a laundromat. Across the street, (in the next block to the right as you exit the hotel), is a Monop' supermarket.
Ladies who may wish to stay at this hotel be cautious when walking late afternoon or at night. Men tend to congregate on nearby corners for hours on end, talking loud staring at you making you feel uneasy.

On the main shopping street are many high end stores, restaurants and fast food chains including McDonalds, KFC with the tram line on this street.

Within a 15 minute walk is the famous Nice Beach, old city and more restaurants.

When arriving into Nice (NCE) airport, catch bus 99 from bus departure platform 1.
Tickets can be purchased directly in front of this platform at the ticket office. Tickets are €6.00 each, one way and busses depart the airport approx every 20-25 minutes.
The bus from the airport has 2 stops. One on the lower road, in front of the main Nice Train Station where most (if not all passengers exit the bus) and the second around the corner in front of the train station.
Exit the bus at the first lower stop and walk in the same direction as the bus was traveling, for about 500m before reaching the hotel.
During this walk you will cross the main city street, which has a tram line. Once you cross this tram line, continue straight ahead to the next block and turn right onto Rue LaMartine.
As you turn the corner to the right, Ibis signs should be seen.

If your really enthusiastic to catch a train, you can walk from the airport to nearest train station called Nice-St-Augustin. This should be about a 10 minute walk by the time you navigate roads and traffic. The first stop will be Nice Ville, main train station. Tickets should be less than €5 each way.
At Nice Ville station, exit the train station and turn to your left. Walk about 50 meters to the main street (ave Jean Medicine) which has tram lines. Cross the tram lines and continue for two blocks along Rue Pertinax and then turn right into Rue LaMartine, walk approx 20 meters and Ibis will be on your right.

rooms clean and well decorated but very small (inc bathroom)
louvered windows hadn't been painted for some time. My window looked out onto a flat roof on which many cigarette stub ends had been dropped. Also a beer bottle had been dumped by previous occupants.
breakfast ok but the coffee is out a machine and didn't taste good. We all ate our meals from a tray which made it appear like a motorway cafe.
walls very thin has as been mentioned by an earlier reviewer - you can hear noises from other bedrooms.
The surrounding area was, however, realtively quiet.
I could not recommend this hotel and would be very surprised if better value could not be had elsewhere
