This was a last minute change as it’s location is superb , the views over the promenade are superior and the staff are so attentive and kind . I’d like to thank the gentleman whom helped us after my wife had fallen on the promenade , it was so kind and sincere . We had a classic double on the third floor which had its own min balcony and a super view - thank you , we will be back .

Hotel Suisse is in a wonderfully scenic location in Nice and a great base for daytrips to Villefranche, Cannes, Antibes etc. We walked 25 mins via the Port to the train station for day trips – great for getting some steps in! We normally rambled back via the old town stopping for a cold drink on the way back to the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast is served in a delightful bright airy room, with cheerful staff and includes super fresh pastries along with a good selection in the hot and cold buffet. The lift is tiny but not unusual for hotels in Europe that are built into ancient walls or cliffs. The bedroom was well equipped and toiletries replaced daily as needed. I would highly recommend paying for a sea view room and ask for one on the second floor as they seem to have higher ceilings and larger balconies. The view of the bay was amazing day and night. If we go back to Nice, this is where will we stay.

This hotel offering rooms with great comfort, service and views of the beach, promenade and the old town is a must for a stay.
Breakfast is very good.
No restaurant but the old town has some authentic french food and atmospheric restaurants within 10 mins walk offering better food, drinks and value than many of the international style restaurants nearer the promenade.

We stayed in a suite on the 4th floor and this was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers. The sofa bed is large ( about queen sized I would estimate) and very comfortable and high quality such that I was able to share it with my 6'3" teenage son with no problem. Magnificent views with French doors that open up onto a small balcony. We had no issues with road noise with the doors closed, though might be different in summer if doors remained open. About a 5-10 minute walk to old Nice and Cours Saleya. Breakfast was good with some hot items, including scrambled eggs and sausage, all in a nice breakfast room.

Location of the hotel and the views of Promenade des Anglais it offers are good enough reasons for staying at this hotel. Proximity to numerous restaurants and bars around old Nice is another big plus. Our 3rd floor room was small but good enough for 2 people. Same was true for the balcony which provided gorgeous view of Nice. Surprisingly the bathroom was decent in size. Both room and bathroom were spotlessly clean like the rest of the hotel.
Room amenities included electronic safe, bedroom slippers, TV, mini bar and tea/coffee facility which included a Nespresso coffee machine. Bathroom was stocked with basic amenities which were enough for our needs.
All the staff we came across were polite and helpful. They helped us to make restaurant booking for us in advance. Both check in and out was smooth and hassle free.
The hotel serves a really good breakfast with nice choices which includes both cold and hot options. The fresh orange juice they served was simply great. The breakfast room also has a nice and airy ambiance.
The only issue we had to handle during our stay was parking our hired car since the hotel does not provide any parking. We found parking Sulzer to be the most convenient one but this involves a five minute walk. There is a small lay-by in front of the hotel where we could park our car for short periods while checking in and leaving.
Overall we think this hotel is a great option if someone is looking for a stay near to Nice old town and is looking for a great view of Nice. Pricewise it is not cheap but considering the location and service we believe this hotel provides value for money.

We traveled on peak season so expect its more pricey and there’s less option for hotel. The hotel location is just walking distance to the beach, restaurants, public market and near to tourist spot. The hotel room is okay, we stayed in suite room so we get a better view and more spacious than other room. The good things about the hotel is the staff were friendly, approachable and assist you on your inquiries. They clean and changed all the linens everyday. The downside is the WiFi, it’s too slow specially in the afternoon and evening, it’s better to have your own. The elevator is too tiny, good for 2 people only, their breakfast lounge is too small but they offer breakfast in your room if you prefer. If you travel with car, theres no parking space in front of the hotel but there’s pay parking across the street, €30/day and on weekend €40/day. Overall we had a good time on this hotel.

This hotel is very well located overlooking the promenade, within a 3 minute walk of the old town and a 10 minute walk of the Jean De Medicine.
We chose a Superior room which happened to be located on the second floor. The view from our balcony was unbeatable and made up for the medium/small sized room. Breakfast was quiet expensive (18€) for what was advertised so we chose a local boulangerie each morning for a croissant and café which cost no more than 10€ for us both each time !
Regards amenities at the hotel - well they are very limited but this didn’t bother us as we were quiet active.
The male receptionist who checked us in was very kind and helpful but the rest appeared quiet cold at times.
Overall the hotel was very clean!

The location is amazing, at the tip of Boulevard Anglais, by the harbor and just at the Arches into Old Nice, the flower market, etc.

Every room has a balcony overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and the coastline of Nice. The street in front of the hotel is one way and it does seem to help with noise and traffic at night. I would have given the hotel 5 stars because the location is extraordinary but for a few amenities which were not available and would have improved my stay. I personally found the bed to be too hard for comfortable sleep.

There is no restaurant or room service available in this hotel. I found the lack of room service distressing because the view was so nice from the balcony. Breakfast is a continental affair that can be brought to your room, but it is disappointing. The coffee was weak, not hot and the croissants were stale. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and delicious. The staff couldn’t have been nicer.

My advice is to buy something at the local market to snack on and then order a bucket of ice for your wine or drinks in the evening. (The mini bar in my room was poorly stocked and nothing in it was cold.)

The beach club the hotel has an agreement with is not the one immediately outside the hotel. It’s a few euros more, but is delicious and much more convenient. It is called Castel. I enjoyed it very much.

The housekeeping staff was amazing and my room was very clean. As noted in another comment, there are no wash cloths! Really. Towels are plentiful.

Dear Darleen, Thank you for sharing your experience after your stay at the Hotel Suisse in Nice and we are delighted to see that you were delighted with our exceptional location. Indeed, our hotel is ideally located, close to the port, the arches leading to the historic centre and the flower market, while offering a breathtaking view of the blue waters of the Baie des Anges. We are delighted that our rooms with balconies have satisfied your desire to enjoy this panoramic view without noise disturbance at night. We take into consideration your comment about the comfort of the bed, and we will look into solutions to ensure the most restful sleep for our guests. We understand that the absence of a restaurant and room service may have led to disappointed expectations. Your feedback on breakfast is valuable and we will work to improve the quality of this service. We are delighted to hear that our staff were helpful and friendly throughout your stay. The idea of buying local produce at the market to enjoy on the balcony and ordering produce in the evening is a clever one, and we will certainly be encouraging our guests to follow your advice. We apologise for the inconvenience of the minibar and will ensure that it is better stocked in future. We are also pleased to know that you enjoyed the Castel beach, with which we have had a partnership for several years now. Finally, we take note of your satisfaction with the cleanliness of your room, as well as the abundance of towels, and thank you for this. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again to one of our charming hotels in Avignon, Cannes or Nice. Your satisfaction remains our priority, and we are constantly striving to offer our customers a quality service. Yours sincerely Myriam Fernandes, Directrice Customer Relations

I have spent 1 or 2 nights here most years at this time to attend a medical conference in town. This year I paid 400 euros for a tiny room with a sea view but no balcony or included breakfast. It was located on the first floor that was so low I had to keep the shades closed to avoid stares of passers by. The minuscule bedside table was detached from the wall and tilted so nothing could sit on it. The bathtub drain was clogged. The bathtub water would not shut off and dropped continually. Numerous floor tiles clicked and moved as you walked over them and the grout was chipping in many places.

We really loved this hotel. The location is excellent. You are only a very short walk to Old Town where many of the shops and restaurants are, just beneath castle hill which has great views and a park and close to the port of Nice.

We had a room on the 3rd floor right by the elevator (room 32). I was worried we’d have noise from the elevator or people but I never heard a thing. In the room we had 3 French doors with the most amazing views. The room was spacious and had two big closets with shelves. There is a small coffee maker and a small bar fridge which is stocked (cost associated). The bed was large and comfortable.

The only small thing I didn’t love was the tub/shower combo. A bit hard to get in and out of and water went everywhere when using the shower.

We had the breakfast included for our 4 nights and really enjoyed it. There was always a few hot dishes (scrambled eggs and sausages) as well as a great selection of pastries and fresh fruit. The breakfast room was clean and pretty. Staff were friendly, professional and accommodating.

It was an oasis of peace and calm after having spent 5 nights is Paris.

There is no car parking at the hotel, however there is car parking near by. However there is a underground car park in old town and open car park near the port, both only a five to ten minutes walk. Enjoy and have lovely holiday
