Mum and I have just returned from 4 days in Nice we stayed at Hotel Suede and we would throughly reccomend it to anyone going to Nice

The staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble.

The room was clean and the beds were comfy.
The shower was great, nice and powerful!
The stay was reasonably priced too and we feel we had great value for money.

Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice from scrambled eggs to pastry and cold meats- something for everyone

The hotel was in a great location. Near to the centre of everything but not so near that there was noise etc. At night it wasn't noisy at all and we were on the first floor.
5 to 10 min walk to the train station and no more than 5 mins walk to the tram for the airport
Plenty of tasty restaurants and shops nearby

Would 100% stay again- thank you!

We are in our mid twenties, and we’re looking for somewhere with a central location to coastal walks, bars, restaurants and public transport. Hotel Suede was in a great location, 25-30 mins via metro from airport, close to beach and beautiful restaurants. For the value of money, was a great stay!
We took a day trip to Monaco- staff were very knowledgeable and directed us to central train station (10 mins walks away).

Hotel Suede is very nicely located close to the beach and the high street. The tram stop directly to/from the airport is only some 500m away so getting there is very easy if one has has draggable luggage. The staff at the reception is multilingual and very friendly and they let us store our bags in the luggage room after check out. The bathroom was a little on the small side and there was also some noise from the street until the restaurants closed. An OK hotel.

Location is perfect, but note that they may give you a room with a bathroom door that does not close and open fully, noise from the bars until 2 am and then street cleaners as of 4am. We used to be welcomed so well and given good rooms for many years, but this is what happens when they pick up wrong receptionists, the whole experience was a disaster. Of course l did not get the link from my booking to review my stay which means their good reviews are not impartial. DON’t GO,way better places just around the corner, shared inn, Mercure, etc…

Hotel De Suede
This nice little hotel cheats their guests with disinformation about the prices on breakfast. Be aware of that and ask for written confirmation on offers. How low can you go….
The hotel is close to the beach and the shopping zone. But why cheat the guests?

5th visit and still worth every penny. We stayed for only 3 weeks this time and will be back soon. Next to many restaurants, shopping, mini markets and a GREAT pharmacy Anglo American just across the street. The beach and Promenade d'Anglais are 2 blocks away.
Knowledgeable, friendly professional front desk (especially new people Alexandra and Salvatore )
The breakfast is perfect European style and the view of the rooftops makes for a relaxing petit déjeuner.
Just remember this is not the Ritz but a typical European 3 star hotel that offers great value.
We did have one or 2 requests that were handled ASAP by the front desk. Cannot wait to return.

This is my 6th year coming to Suede and I still think this is the best value in Nice
1. Location, location, location to the beach and promenade.
2. Well priced
3. Super breakfast available
4. Very helpful , personable and knowledgeable staff
5. Near many many restaurants , Pharmacie Anglo-American ( everything you may need from an upset tummy to a sun burn. Speaking from personal experience) and close to ALL local transport (tram, bus, train)
6: Well sized rooms and super clean

This hotel is very central, close to the "rue piétonne" and to the beach (Promenade des Anglais). There are myriads of restaurants and bars just a few footsteps away. Nice little hotel, with rather friendly staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only minus was the bathroom, which was microscopically small. We will definitely return.

Location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic and yet we didn’t find it noisy at all. Shops, stores, restaurants and the beach are all steps away. Old town is about 10 mins walk. Our room was clean and staff was very friendly. I only took one star off because of little things like no boxed tissues (but there was extra toilet paper), no kettle or coffee in the room and AC didn’t work very well. We’ll be happy to stay here again next time we’re back in Nice. We’re a family of 3 with 3 single beds and 2 together. Even with that the room didn’t feel too small. Having a balcony was awesome as well

Good quality hotel, rooms clean, breakfast excellent and it's situated very near the Old Town. Convenient for the tram to and from the airport, and the train station to visit Monaco etc. All staff were pleasant especially the very helpful Alex on reception who was knowledgeable, friendly and humerous. We'll definitely be returning to this hotel.

What is the best way to get to the hotel from the airport if not using a taxi?
Answer from Defibril8r
Derby, United Kingdom23 contributions14 helpful votes
We got a taxi from the airport but there are buses. Taxi cost €40. Bus stop right outside airport. Get off somewhere near to McD's. Be careful though my wife used the bus and was told that pickpockets operate on them. Nice is fantastic. Enjoy.

What kind of food do they serve at breakfast and when do they serve it?
Answer from Dimitri P
Courcelles, Belgium218 contributions56 helpful votes
Usual breakfast: several kinds of bread, scrambled and boiled eggs, sausage, cheese, cereals, ... If I remember well the breakfast is served from 7h to 10h. There are other places for breakfast within a walking distance from the hotel but unless you are happy with just one coffee as whole breakfast, the deals do not come close to the buffet at the hotel.
