We stayed at Les Pervenches for a week, and enjoyed our stay there. Some of the highlight included the lovely breakfast served every morning on the terrace by the pool, the amazing view of Nice from the pool, and the personal touches that the hosts put into their home. Laure and Henri were very attentive and great hosts, and despite our poor French, provided us with numerous tips on places to visit, restaurants to go to as well as detailed information on the public transport system. The location itself (Cimiez) is a nice residential neighbourhood, close to the Matisse and Chagall museums, as well as a nice monastery and archaeological park up the hill. However, if you don't have a car, it may be a little challenging with the public transport/ bus ( particularly at night when buses are every hour from the center), and there are limited food places within walking distance of the B & B ( the cafe near the bus stop serves a decent lunch). All in all, it was a nice home away from home, and like other reviewers have noted, at a good price point for Nice.

I might get a little emotional writing this review. From the moment I arrived in Nice things went wrong--first our car was broken into and our bags stolen, then I had 24 hours of terrible food poisoning which ended up in a hospital visit (see my other review of Queenie, the likely perpetrator, since I had not eaten a single thing the entire day before due to police station woes). In all this misfortune, I had the great fortune of staying at Les Pervenches, who treated me better than even my closest family would. Aaron and his wife were tirelessly helping us through this awful ordeal, driving us to the police station, patiently waiting through the absurd bureaucratic procedures the police report entailed, making phone calls and arranging things for us, waiting on me while I was sick (!), bringing food and drink to my husband, making arrangements for my hospital visit, calling the hospital to check on me.... The care was above and beyond. It was not service; it was the true loving kindness of strangers. Yes the house is beautiful and comfortable and absolutely lovely, but it's the people who make it magical. Out of five, I give them one hundred.

Les Pervenches is a very typical Nicoise house with the periwinkles painted under the eaves. Henri & Laure were very hospitable & helpful hosts. It was a lovely start to our day sitting on the terrace enjoying a delicious breakfast. The bus stop is less than 5 minutes from the house to Place Garibaldi in central Nice. It is easy and cheap to travel by bus, 10 tickets cost 10 Euros. Les Pervenches is in walking distance to Musee Matisse. If arriving at Nice airport it is best to take a taxi, public transport involves several changes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Les Pervenches. We had a very warm welcome and Henri and Laure gave us a great introduction to Nice and where we should visit. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Can't thank them enough for their hospitality. Such a perfect location out of the town centre but within easy walking distance to everything. We would highly recommend a stay here!

I'll never forget my staying at that amazingly beautiful place in Nice which is located near the Cimiez Monastery. Paradise!!! It's complitely different from the crowded city centre and yet it's very close to it ( 7 minutes by car and 20 by bus). All the mentioned sights are of walking distance just 8 minutes ( turn right as soon as you go out from the house) and you'll admire the rose garden of the Monastery, the Chagall Museum, the Matisse Museum, the Archaeological Museum and the Roman Arena of Cimiez. Nature lovers, romantic creatures and those who are dreaming to wake up listening to birds' singing can pamper the soul with the touching sounds of nature and sweet smell of flowers and trees. My morning meditations and running in the park of Cimiez Monastery were something unforgettable. Laure and Henri, the owners of the house, provided me with all the detailed printed information about the main sights, restaurants and the timetable for all the buses which I might use going to that directions. I felt like staying at my relatives. They are really special and they made my staying special also. Laure's homemade jam of several types was fabulously delicious !!! Dreaming to come back to that Paradise one day again.

The villa is situated a bit from city center but with excellent bus communication. Close to several museums. A quiet and exclusive area. The hosting family is really nice and pleasent and helpful. The breakfast is excellent, served beside the pool.
Very nice pool area. It is a b&b so you will be passing the family's living room on you way to the breakfast.
Clean and nice room. We had a really nice stay.

We stopped at Les Pervenches from 22nd May to 28th May occupying all 3 bedrooms and were made to feel very welcome by Henri and Laure Duhaut who run the B&B, you get made to feel part of the family on arrival and you are given some useful information about getting around the local area and the places to see. We enjoyed our tasty contintental breakfast outside on the terrace every morning in nice warm sunshine - fresh bread, croissants complimented with the delicious home made jam (best Jam I have ever tasted). There is a swimming pool which is nice but was a little cold for us to use unfortunately, temperatures during the week were anything from 20 - 23 degrees celsius and we took the opportunity to sit out in the garden a few times. The rooms were clean and comfortable, you also get use of a fridge which is especially handy.

The local area of Cimiez is very nice but it can be quite a tiring walk to and from the town centre on a regular basis however the bus is really easy to catch and a stop not far from the house, Henri took the time to explain this to us, we used number 17 to and from the town centre a few times and the number 20 to get to the Port where there are some nice bars, restaurants etc... The local beaches are stones but Laure advised us one train stop away is Villefranche which had a nice beach (small stone), we went and it was so easy to get there.

I would definitely recommend this holiday and B&B experience to anyone. Fantastic!

I have been to Nice twice before and stayed in the neighborhood of Cimiez. This B&B, Les Pervenches is in the most beautiful part of Nice. Easy access by bus. The hosts M and Mme deHaut, are generous and kind. The pool was a refreshing place to be in the warm weather. The breakfast was beautiful. I will stay there again and recommend it to my friends. Everything was superbe in every way.

We stayed at the Les Pervenches in the Jade room in the midth of July 2012 during a roundtrip through Spain and France. In France this place was THE highlight because the hosts Laure & Henri are great people, very friendy and helpful. They made us really feel at home at their hourse. The villa is up on a hill overlooking Nice, about 25 minutes from downtown. No problems with free parking spaces there. Laure & Henri provided us with all the information about the schedules of the public buses which go downtown for € 1,- per person and way on a regular basis. The bus station is just around the corner of the house, where there is also a superamarket. Henri also gave us a lot of very good restaurant recommendations which we really appreciated. The Cafe de Turin was a great seafood restaurant in the center! The house itself is very clean and nice, the rooms very comfortable, big and silent. There was no air condition, but a fan, and although it had about 32° in July, the temperature in the room was comfortable during the nights. The guest rooms are in first floor, sharing a huge bathroom and one restroom. This was no problem for us, since the other two couples were very nice and easygoing. The hosts have their rooms in the ground floor. The pool and garden are absolutely perfect, you will have a very good French breakfast with croissants, baguette, fruits, yoghurt and homemade jam at the terrace. The times for using the swimming pool are from 8-11.00 and from 16-19.00, which was no problem because you should go outside for sightseeing in the time between! Moreover Laure & Henri told us, that we could also stay during the afternoon at the pool, just tell them in advance. The best beaches we have visited were at St. Jean Cap Ferrat, Villefranche and Bealieu sur Mer. Monaco was great for sightseeing but not for swimming. The beach of Nice looks nice from the distance but the grevel stones are not very comfortable to lie on.
We can absolutely recommend this place which has a very good price level for Nice!
Thanks again to Laure & Henri for getting up at 6.00 am (!!!) at the day of our departure to provide us with breakfast and saying goodbye!
