The pillows!! We are currently online trying to find those pillows. The hotel room was small, but nice and clean. No kettle but the water (sparkling and still) were free downstairs as well as the use of a coffee machine. We didn't try the breakfast so cannot comment about that but the Hotel is in the middle of the centre so everything was nearby. The tram stops 1/2 minutes away from the hotel so that was a bonus as well. Being in the centre, I expected noise but it was nice and quiet. And the staff were amazing from beginning to end Overall, a great experience, And those pillows!!!

Spent a long weekend in a superior double at the hotel 64 . From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and throughout the stay all of the staff were helpful and very friendly . The room was clean and both the bathroom and bedroom were a really good size and very comfy , the pillows were so good I wish i could have taken them home !! The free tea, coffee , hot chocolate and water downstairs was a great touch and very welcome first thing in the morning . The hotel is in a great location and most places are within walking distance and if not there is a tram to take you most places you need to be . I got a tram from the airport which was 1.50 euros and was really easy to find the way as long as you have a google first so you know more or less where you were going. All in all a lovely trip and would definitely go back to the hotel 64 if returning to nice .

We picked this hotel based on reviews and proximity to the train station, and are so happy we did.

It is, as advertised, super-close to the train station. The hotel is less than five minutes’ walk down Avenue Thiers from the train station and right along the Avenue Jean Medicin, a straight shot to the park and waterfront along the tram line, with a great series of shops and restaurants along both walks. You can pretty much get anywhere you need to go from this hotel.

The staff was universally multilingual and was incredibly welcoming and friendly.

The room itself was great. The bed was comfy, the shower was a little more of an open design than we expected, but it worked well. Towels were plush, thick, and awesome. There was some construction noise when were there but the hotel can't control their neighbors and it wasn't happening at night; for the most part, it wasn’t even worth closing our window over. The wifi signal in the room was strong and there were lots of outlets for charging.

We paid for the advertised breakfast buffet one morning and we were very pleased with our decision. Breakfast included sausages, English bacon, crepes with a smorgasbord of fruit, delicious pastries, and the option of omelets or fried eggs done to order (though we were so stuffed we ended up not needing them). The breakfast staff, like everyone at the hotel was super friendly. At 15 euros per person (possibly higher in the summer), it may be a bit too pricey to have every day, but we definitely recommend indulging at least one morning of your stay here.

This is a wonderful hotel with wonderful staff in a wonderful location! Seriously, there is no comparison; stay here if you are in Nice. We certainly plan to when we return.

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel 64. Great location with easy access to the tram and train station, and not too far from the beach. I stayed in the Junior Suite and the room was very clean and a perfect size with a lovely big comfortable bed. The bathroom was exceptional with great water pressure from the shower and very modern. All the staff were fantastic and always helpful, I highly recommend and will stay again when in Nice!

Having read the reviews I was worried I’d be disappointed but the hotel exceeded my already high expectations considering the price paid for the room (£60 per night)

Friendly and helpful reception staff (Hanna) made me feel instantly welcome.

The room is modern, comfortable and spotless with complimentary bottled water which they replenish daily. Super comfy bed and pillows and crisp sheets. Strong wifi throughout my stay.

They offer complimentary tea, coffee and bottled water in the dining room.

Good location in the main drag.

Would definitely come back again.

Hotel 64 was amazing. The staff and location fantastic. We were a 10 min walk from the ocean. Off the train from the airport in Nice to Avenue Jean Medecin and then a 900 metre walk to hotel up Avenue Jean Medecin - Walking distance to all attractions. Our room had a wee balcony that was great for people watching and enjoying a glass of wine and a platter of cheese and meats from the grocery shop next door. Very convenient to all transport.

First of all, this is a simple, no frills hotel . Room was small and there was no view (though rooms facing the street have a dynamic street view). It cost us 60 Euros a night including taxes and for that we had a clean room, meticulously cleaned daily, in a safe, friendly hotel in super location in Nice. TV had multiple channels and you could choose original language for many entertainment programmes... I watched Modern Family undubbed!
Why do I say the owners are either clever or generous or both? Because the breakfast room is open 24/7 with a super coffee machine (real coffee, real milk, real cocoa) for free use for all guests (whether their room price includes breakfast or not) , luxury tea bags with different flavours and free water bottles (clear and fizzy) to take whenever you're thirsty or before you leave or go up to bed.
This extra service, free of charge, gives the guests a feeling that they are truly welcome, this is so unusual in a world run by money, especially in the tourism business.
Last but not least, the terrific staff, only too happy to help, always patient and courteous. Hanna, who speaks most languages (!) helped us plan a day in NIce and a day away, while on her shift, in a few minutes of quiet with nobody else around, and she was only too happy to do it. Mihaella received us with a smile and explained initial things as well as telling me the best story I heard all holiday (sorry, you'll have to ask her,,, about suitcases being switched at the airport), Natallina, not at the desk but so friendly and welcoming, and with a smile to make your day, Emilio on night duty who saved us when our safe wouldn't open and our flight was next morning (grazie mille, Emilio!) and the lovely, gracious and efficient Esther who was on duty the day we left .
Yes, for sure, I'd go back to this hotel, I'd just ask for a room facing the street this time (but be aware that rooms facing the street are less quiet(

After 3 nights in a different hotel in Nice, one night was spent here. The receptionist was extremely helpful and efficient - just the right sort of welcome you hope to receive. The room was exceptionally clean and with a modern / new feel. The pillows and bed covers meant that a great night's sleep was had here, in great contrast to our previous hotel. We had a small balcony, which allowed us to have a cigarette at ease. When the balcony doors were closed the sound coming into the room was minimal to nothing, so that was impressive considering how busy the street is outside and how near it is to public transport and a construction site. Hot drinks (from a machine) and water were free from the breakfast room and able to be taken up to the room at any time. The lift only takes 2 people at any one time and this was the only element that detracted from a perfect stay, as if the lift is in use it can take a while - but still it's only a minor comment. The breakfast was great - a little bit of everything you would expect, and this hotel has a chef who knows exactly how to cook bacon so that it looks and tastes the way it should (most hotels don't!). The location was brilliant, so close to the train station and a metro stop, as well as being on the main thoroughfare of shops. I believe this hotel represents great value for money.

Stayed here for 9 nights, lovely place with great staff who were very helpful at giving advice on how to get to places. Train station very short walk, as was the nearest tram stop.
Room was clean & comfortable, I had a great sleep here! We'd booked breakfast which was nice & it's also a great touch that the the hotel allows you access to a fridge full of water & the coffee machine/kettle whenever you want.
As you're near the train station/tram there is a little bit of noise but the soundproofing in the rooms does filter some of that out.
