This 3* property is located in a nice building near the railway station. The check in was courteous and efficient but we requested a quiet room and were allocated room 204 on top of AC units making permanent noise all night. Otherwise the room is nicely decorated, with all expected amenities and facilities, but quite small with limited space around the bed. The bathroom is very pleasant with a bathtub, there were a few small technical issues. Due to Covid, the breakfast was delivered in a box, it was of correct quality.

Dear PMV V, first of all thank you for taking the time to share your experience in our Hotel So'Co. We are glad to know that your stay was good and you appreciated our hotel and our staff. We are also glad to know that you understood our take away breakfast caused to covid-19. We are deeply sorry to know about the noise in the room and we apologize for that. You could have informed the reception in order to find a solution, for example in giving you an other room. Thank you for your comment that is very important to improve the quality of our service. Ans thank you also for the good mark you gave us. It was a pleasure welcomed you and we hope to see you again in our hotel. Best regards, Eleonora

Booked a 1-night stay through Expedia.
Arrived early and was allowed to leave my suitcase at the hotel whilst I went out for the day. Checked in later that night and then allocated my room, which was 103 - opposite a very noisy and old fashioned clunky lift. Room was opposite a main road to the train station as well, so it proved to be quite a noisy location. Would definitely recommend bringing a pair of ear plugs with you!
The room was good quality and furnished quite funky and modern. Free bottle of water, which was nice.
In a great location, only 5 mins from Nice Ville Train staton and 10 mins to Le Anglais Promenade.
Bed was decent quality, pillows nice and soft.
Would recommend this budget if you’re looking for something better than the Ibis Styles or Holiday Express.

We were excited to stay here because they claimed to have air conditioning and be non-smoking. However, although you think you are controlling your air conditioner, it turns out the hotel has control over it but they don’t tell you this. When the room remained at 79 degrees during the first 2 days, we asked the front desk and found out they needed to set it for us. They said they would set it to 68 degrees for us. When still nothing changed, they said they would send someone to fix it the next day. When this didn’t happen, the front desk said the air conditioning doesn’t get turned on until spring and only goes through summer. We stayed the last week of March and spring officially started March 20th so not sure why it wasn’t considered spring, especially because 79 degrees is way too hot and nowhere is it mentioned that they don’t have air conditioning all year round. They told us we could open the window/balcony door but the smoke from the surrounding rooms was so strong that wasn’t an option. We were clearly given the run around as well, which is unacceptable. They ended up offering us breakfast for the last 2 days when I continued to press the issue. I was going to stay at Ibis down the street and wish I had. On top of this, the bottom sheet had a blood stain on it. I will definitely not be staying here again and wanted to be sure to write this review so others know this is false advertising about air conditioning. The hotel we stayed at by the airport on our last night (Novotel Arenas) was actually non-smoking and did have air conditioning. The only thing my husband cares about when choosing a hotel is that is has air conditioning. We wanted to have a non-smoking hotel with a queen bed and air conditioning so we could be sure to sleep well for our long days of sightseeing. Very disappointing and overall unacceptable.

Dear qanic6, We thank you to have taken some of your time to share your experience in our hotel So'Co. We are very sorry to see that your stay with us didn't answer to your expectation. In fact, our hotel is completely non-smoking. Regarding the air conditioning, we clearly explained to you at reception that it is only on in summer and not in spring as you can mention. At the beginning of your stay, you certainly did not have to deal with the same person because she has only recently started in our establishment, and we are still sorry about that. Then, we would like to clarify the temperature of the room, which had to be at most 25° after checking the system. We don't know if you are talking about the temperature in "English measurements" or not, but to say that your room was 69°, for our future customers who read your comment and our response, is somewhat exaggerated. We are sincerely sorry that you were very warmed, you were offered, possibly to change rooms, but you refused. It is true that this did not change the fact that our air conditioning system was still in winter mode, but perhaps this new room would have been less warm than the one you had. In the meantime, our colleagues have also given you a fan to cool your room. And last thing, in order to apologize for this inconvenience, although we explained to you how our air conditioning works, we wanted to offer you breakfasts. This offer did not suit you, and in order to find a suitable solution, both for you and for us, we opted for a commercial gesture, with a refund of nearly €50. Something you could have mentioned in your review. We are also surprised to see that you found a stain on your sheet. You could also tell it to the reception, we would have called the maid immediately. It is a pity to read such negative feedback, when on our side, we had done everything to find common ground and best satisfy your disappointment. We never wanted to make you run, as you can tell, it's clearly not our goal to make fun of our customers, quite the contrary. It was a pleasure to have welcomed you and we hope to see you again, getting a new luck to satisfy your needs. Kind regards Laury/Reception

This hotel is a few minutes walk from the station.
Very clean everywhere.
Was staying in one of the other Happy Culture hotels ( Bourgenville) which is also great with lovely staff, but it had to close due to lockdown.
Was moved here ,only next door !
Have several hospital appts and not able to travel back and forth so extended my stay.
The staff are super nice and friendly and very helpful, which has made what could be a very stressful time easier.Especially Eleonora,Marieme and Laury.
The domestic staff are lovely too and though not able to do the room daily as would be normal they provide any clean towels etc in between cleans.
Breakfast is provided as takeaway and has bread ,pastries ,juice, cheese, cereal bars Etc.Very good value. All the staff are doing an amazing job to keep the hotel going safely in these difficult times.
Thank you to all of them.

The hotel was very basic, tired and looked way nicer in the photos. I would not stay here again.
The good: staff were pleasant enough, the bathroom and bed linen were clean and our room was rear facing so was quiet in spite of the generators below. The train station is a few minutes' walk away in the same street and the centre and old town are a pleasant 15-20 min walk away.
The bad: the hotel is dark, most walls/ceilings are painted black including the rooms. The whole place is tired and in need of renovation. The room was very small and cramped. Towels were shabby, did not smell fresh and one even had holes in. The hot water tap in the shower is extremely hot so beware, you only need to turn it slightly to add it to the cold. Breakfast was abysmal; a poor choice of cheap cold food which was not replenished unless requested. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

We stayed at SoCo as part of a British Airways short stay holiday for a weekend in early December. We were greeted warmly and had our room re-allocated on arrival which meant we were able to check in early which was very appreciated after an early start.
The hotel is comfortable and offered everything you might need. We opted not to have breakfast at the hotel but it was available had we wished.
Location wise the hotel is a 20 minute walk to the promenade and Old Nice and a short 5 minute walk tot he L1 line that can also take you down to the Old Town. It's also well positioned for the food market which we attended.
All the staff were very hospitable and pleasant and we enjoyed our stay a lot and slept well.

Huge cockroach in bathroom, toilet seat is broken, bathroom floor is very very used, room is ridiculously tiny. No Hotel phone in the room , à nightmare of a place. Never again! Catherine Trojani you have to buy and put chemicals for the rooms to avoid giant cockroaches and renovate bathroom floor. This Hotel is a Dump! Very very surprised that people like this place! Un Hotel à cafards , qui a besoin d être rénové!, on nous a donné une chambre cagibi, une HONTE pour le tarif demandé. A ne surtout pas RECOMMANDER. Horrible

Dear Marc0302, We really don't understand your feedback. First, you shared your experience leaving a comment on google, that's why, we immediately contact you to understand really what was happened upon your stay. We finally succeeded to find a solution suitable for both of us, offering a commercial gesture. So, really, it's a pity that you persist to leave another review here, otherwise our phoning conversation. Also, we would like to come back on some points, we verified the room that you got, the toilet seat is not broken, the room has a superficy of 16m² and it's very well planed for handicapped people. Of course, we understand very well that you were disapointed because you found one cockroach, but we rassure you, the insect compagny came immediately after your complaint, and they resolved this problem. We just permit to invite our future guest whose are reading your feedback, to consult your profile, because, it's a little bit amazing to see that you are never satisfied of your stay. On 13 comments leaving on tripadvisor, all have 1 point, and everywhere you went, it's horrible.... So so sorry again that your stay with us didn't answered to your expectation... Kind regards Laury

Great place for single /Couple (max, no more than 2 due to room size). All in all, a very comfy hotel for whoever wishes to stay in Nice without going bankrupt, a very cost effective place. Generally, I would say the pros are - modern and refurbished hotel, clean and new room, balcony, large restroom, including a bath, comfy bed and amenties. I would also add that they have luggage storage services which was great since we checked out early and it allowed us to travel another fill day without getting carried with the luggage. Location wise I would say it is good, not great. Walk to the old city and city center is 20-25 minutes, however the L1 tram is 7 minute walk and the Avenue of shops is also 9 minute walk. Another plus it's the proximity to the Nice Ville train station, from which we took a train to Monte Carlo. The main con for us was the room size which was a bit tight, but very fair re the price and use (sleeping, refreshing). Another con is the slow water flow in bath (I guess it's done to save water but it made the showers longer). All in all a great experience at a very good cost, highly recommended.

Hi the Airport bus stops outside the train station just a short walk away, stay on same street and walk 250 metres and the hotel is on the opposite side of road from train station. To go to Cannes and Monte Carlo ( Monaco ) walk back up road to train station and the regular train to Monaco takes about 20-30 mins, the train going in opposite direction goes to Cannes and St trope. Hope that helps
