I stayed in this hotel for one night as part of a mammoth road trip through Europe. Because I was solo and didn't want to spend a fortune, I chose this hotel because of it's parking facilities and it's reviews. The Formule 1 & Etap hotels in the area got awful reviews on TA and were similarly priced to the Hotel Floride.

The hotel is located in a quiet area of Nice and is on an incline so has a decent view of the old town. I arrived late (9.30pm) and when I checked in, the lady at reception was very nice and pointed out a pizza delivery service nearby if I was interested. There is no food on site.

The lift is tiny - only big enough for one person and a case - but it's very quaint. The hotel had no single rooms available and so gave me a double room. My room was ok - bed was clean & comfortable and bathroom was fine. My room had a little balcony with a table & 2 chairs and it also had black-out blinds which were great. There is nothing fancy about the rooms, the decor is old but they are perfectly ok if you are not expecting the Ritz. There was a new flat-screen TV and wardrobes and free wireless which was a bonus.

My one issue was that when I ordered my pizza, the delivery guy came right up to my room without any warning. I can appreciate the efficiency of this, but, because I was travelling on my own - it made me slightly uncomfortable that delivery people had access to the rooms.

Overall, this hotel served my needs perfectly. I would recommend it as a reasonably-priced, brief overnight stop-over destination.

Brilliant hotel in good area (near Musee Chagall) for travellers on a budget. Our en suite room was spotless with TV, fridge and balcony which over looked a great view of Nice. Hotel also provided free internet access for guests.

We found this hotel recommended in a travel guide. It is in the Cimiez district of Nice and has free private parking. If you have a car you will really appreciate this! It looked quite far out on the map but in fact only took us about 15 minutes to walk to the old town area as it is all downhill. There is also a regular bus service which runs along the street just outside to the centre of Nice until 9pm.
The hotel itself is quite odd, it looks like it hasn't been redecorated for about 30 years! There is a tiny old fashioned lift. Our room was quite small and had odd mismatched furniture and orange painted walls!! But we also had a huge window and everything was spotlessly clean. There was a small fridge and a TV, no air-conditioning but a fan was provided.
The reason I have given this hotel an above average rating is that if you are looking for a clean and cheap hotel with parking, near the centre of Nice, then this is perfect. However, if you are looking for somewhere posh and can't be bothered walking any distance, go and spend £100+ for somewhere on the seafront!!

in a great location a few streets back from the beach, the reception friendly and welcoming rooms are basic but overall good and I would stay here again if in Nice, you get complimentary soft drinks in the room upon arrival but after that you do have to pay which is understandable

The rooms are small, quite old fashioned and on a main road but for the price are good value in an expensive region. The service is great - to the extent that we were sent back some earings I managed to leave in the room. Which is really appreciated.
The location was excellent for us as we were visiting some friends in the neighbourhood. The Chagall and Matisse museums are nearby but for the beach and shops you need a car or to get the bus down a long hill.

I chose this hotel because it was inexpensive, out of high trafficked areas, offered free parking, and because someone mentioned in a prior review that they would call a cab to the airport for you. I had an early morning flight and didn't know how I would get a cab in the middle of the night. The first thing that struck me when we arrived was the proprietor's sense of humor. If you are totally humorless about travel, this may not be important to you, but given the bumps in the road of life, it's something I appreciate. He bore with my rudimentary French from decades ago and encouraged me to keep trying. His breakfast was just lovely. Breakfast in southern France seems to have pretty much the same fare everywhere, but his meat was leaner and tastier, his cheese fresher and finer, his fruit better chosen, and his coffee far beyond anything else we had found at a breakfast buffet. Each cup was brewed individually, and it was wonderful. We have had nothing but fine service anywhere in southern France, but even so, this host went the extra mile. When we encountered a travel dilemma, he rescued us. The view from our room was lovely (the full moon a plus), the bed comfortable, everything fine. I am grateful to our hosts for a good stay.

If you have a car, free parking is a big plus and you can easily handle the distance to city center. Breakfast was very good, lift was tiny but functional, staff were helpful, humorous and friendly. Rooms were clean but furniture needs renovation. Toilet and shower is clean, shelf is functional, yet the shower base needs renovation. Mini fridge and balcony is a plus, you can cool your drink and enjoy! With some small retouches it would be a perfect hotel, recommended!

Out of the multitude hotel options in Nice, I have chosen hotel Floride for the private parking included in the hotel price, the good buffet breakfast and the overall positive reviews posted by other travellers.
The owners take pride of their business. We've been treated very politely and the overall customer service was superior. Our room was impeccable clean, with nice cotton towels, soft pillows and sheets. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area, a bit away from the centre but close to the fastest route to the highway. You need 20 min to reach the Nice airport. The wifi was excellent.

We've been totally satisfied with Floride, so I can pass to you my whole recommendation to stay here, especially if you travel by car and need to catch your flight the following morning.

If this hotel had been more central, we would have had a much better experience. We had to call cabs to get us to the main area and once we were there, not all cabs were willing to take us back. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was overall clean but the bedsheets had a gross stain on them. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was good (although the water drained very slowly). Overall an ok experience.
