We had booked two nights(May 2nd and 3rd) in this cottage five months prior after reading the previous reviews and I must say i was overwhelmed by the courteous hospitality of our hosts Bernard and Christine. We missed the flight in the morning from Heathrow and was put in an afternoon flight but Bernard still picked us from the airport to the cottage (it was complimentary). He again offered us that he would drop us in the town center that was again something unexpected. Our cottage was a large double room with king size bed and other amenties and a large single room with queen size bed and attached toilet. There was also a mini bar and it was compliementary. The family toilet was again large, it was like large one bedroom apartment with own entrance and little garden. Since the cottage was on the hillside so there was no other property other than us and had an extremely quiet good night sleep. Next day morning Bernard again dropped us to St. Augustine train station without asking, though the walking way was 15 mins from the cottage but we were lost in the evening and Bernard again picked us out of nowhere ;) He was really helpful. There was Number 8 bus to go to town center and train station is at walkable distance. The breakfast was moderate, the cottage has nice big garden with orange trees. Bernard dropped us to the airport on 4th May evening. The best thing in our stay was the hospitality of our hosts Bernard and Christine and absoluteky quiet location of our cottage and very large immaculately decorated our apartment. You get lots more than you actually edpect. I would come back again in October this year, see you soon =D

Whilst this property is marketed as a Bed & Breakfast, the facilities available and services offered by the host Bernard go further than we expected. We were given a room which was more like an apartment with its own terrace and table and chairs inside the room. Upstairs is a terraced area where we ate breakfast but where we could also relax in the evenings and eat our own food. Bernard is an excellent and friendly host and was very helpful during our stay.

We spent two days around Christmas at Giacometti. Although the weather was not great the stay there made our trip to Nice well worth it.

We were the only guests. The apartment we stayed at (first floor) was large and very nicely decorated. Our kids got a room with a beautifully painted ceiling and they loved it. The bathroom was large and the shower with the rain head just great. Everything is very new and clean. The garden is very peaceful and relaxing, as is the whole area. Nice view of the western part of Nice.

Now, the breakfast was truly delicious. Bread, pastries, yogurt, fruit, orange jam made from the fruit in the garden. My kids could not have enough of it. And locally made cheese! It was enough for us not to need lunch.

The service was also impeccable. On a rainy day we asked them to get a us a taxi to go to downtown Nice. Well, the property keeper instead offered to give us a ride as he was heading the same way. Now that was something.

All in all, a very memorable stay. We'll be coming back for sure.

Note: The place is not a walking distance to old Nice. So you'll need a car or can use a bus, the stop is a 5 min walk from the apartments. The owners are also building another set of apartments nearby with a roof-top swimming pool. We cannot wait to see that place!

It may be a bit difficult to find but it is well worth your time to find! This small, intimate hotel is perfect for serenity. Our host, Bernard, did everything possible to ensure our stay was pleasurable. He served us breakfast on the deck in the morning. It was lovely. We had two bedrooms and a living room and all that we could desire. If you don't have a car there is a bus at the end of the road that takes you directly into town. We highly recommend staying here!

We stayed here over a long weekend, the staff were very friendly and we were made to feel at home, more so than anywhere else we have been. The amenities and living spaces were open to use at anytime and we had a bbq on the shaded roof terrace on our last night, the honesty bar was always well stocked and Bernard made sure I had my beer in there (Merci Bernard!!). Centrally located and easy to get to most places by bus or train.
The highlight for me was the unique atmosphere, it felt more like visiting a friend or family home instead of a hotel room. Have I mentioned highly recommended yet?

Very big apartment with two rooms and big bathroom. Parking is free. Owner and staff was very friendly. Location is 5 - 10 minutes from the sea by car. The ratio of price and quality is very good. It is very nice hotel good for family with children.

We stayed here for four nights in June and it was wonderful. We loved the apartment, surroundings, breakfast and breathtaking views from the dining terrace. Our host Bernard could not have done more to help us and his English was very good (not sure who the last reviewer was talking to). I have just booked for a return trip in June 2016.

I stayed here for 3 nights last week (booked for 5 but left after 3). Unfortunately, this is not your typical B&B, it is a building that has 5 studio apartments. The only way it is like a B&B is that breakfast is served in the mornings. The breakfast is very poor - croissant, bread, cheese, juice & tea or coffee. The property is located approx 30 mins on the bus from Nice and the last bus back in the evenings leaves NIce at 8pm. The apartment was spacious with good air conditioning but there is nothing homely or welcoming about the property. Bernard, the manager is very nice and did everything he could to help me while I was there but his English is poor and that made it quite difficult at times. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the apartment and no restaurants or shops near the B&B. The property is also surrounded by trees so if you are prone to being bitten by mosquitos, do not stay here!! Based on my experience, I would not recommend this property.

Our room (which was more like an apartment) was beautifully decorated and furnished and had it's own private sun terrace, all set in a converted traditional farmhouse and landscaped gardens. It was very quiet, being outside of the main tourist areas and was only 10 minutes from the airport. We used the local bus to go into the city centre which costs 1.5 euro and runs down the promenade des Anglaise, and was very simple as it terminated at the bottom of the drive. Our hosts, Bernard and Christine were very friendly and helpful and put on a great spread for breakfast - we were treated more like friends than guests - it was lovely.

While it's a little challenging to get to on foot (IGNORE GOOGLE MAPS) and away from the city once you've explored the area it is a wonderful location. The owners are wonderful and lay on a friendly service with an excellent spread and conversation for breakfast. The price is amazing for what you get: a comfortable and spacious room, a view over the hills and a lovely garden to stroll in in the early evening. A truly delightful place
