The staff in this hotel really make the difference. They always greet you warmly and are happy to offer suggestions for restaurants, etc. The hotel is located just a block from Avenue Jean Medecin (which is where the trams run). Also within easy wallking distance to the old town or to the shopping district. There is an elevator but it... More

If you're after a clean, friendly and great value for money hotel this fits the bill perfectly! The free French breakfast till 11am was an added bonus. Rooms are a little dated and not exactly romantic but for 50 Euros a night you can't go wrong. Super friendly staff and an amazing location add to the character of this quaint... More

We have stayed at the Hotel de Verdun several times now. The owner and staff are always helpful and very friendly. I found this little gem scouring for hotels two years ago, I am so glad I found it. The owner and is staff just make you feel so welcome. It made our stay just that much better. The rooms... More

We stayed here one night while traveling to Corsica. The hotel is a located on a corner with the large Avenue Jean Medecin which, it is located 20 minutes on foot from the station and 10 minutes on foot to the seaside. The hotel is realy quite charming. Don't expect anything fancy, it's an older building but well maintained. We... More

I stayed here for a week for a business trip. It was a great stay, aside from a few minor complaints. Location is ideal, close to major stores but away from the crowds. The staff was helpful in recommending everything from sightseeing to laundromats, and spoke very good English. The air conditioning worked quite well (most importantly for Nice in... More

Being budget minded I booked this hotel for an 8 night stay in Nice for a convention (Zonta International.) We arrived a couple days early to sight see. Hotel de Verdun is basic- a friendly staff, small clean rooms, good Wi-Fi and our room had great air conditioning. It is close to restaurants, Old Town, Promenade, shopping and just two... More

This hotel is in a perfect location. Central to Nice but a couple of streets off the main drag so it's quiet. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Lots of different languages spoken, which makes it good for almost every nationality. It's a 'no frills' hotel. My room was small, which was fine for me as a single traveller.... More

We started our Euro 2016 road trip of the south of France in Nice and managed to book this lovely hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They offered to carry our bags up the stairs. Reception was also very accommodating as she marked where the car hire location was on a map for us. The rooms are very... More

We had a room with a terrace which was a nice addition to sit outside in the morning with a cafe as the room was small. Breakfast option on site in the restaurant. There is also a lounge. Free wifi worked well. No phone in the room. There was a TV (we did not use) in the room. Bedding was... More

Hotel is in perfect location, near everything we wanted to do in Nice. Owner and staff are very helpful & nice - even carried our bags up the one flight of stairs to reception. Plus is that there is air conditioning & elevator/lift. Clean comfortable rooms. Everything for a perfect stay. Already planning our next trip & hope to stay... More
