Very spacious rooms, more like a studio apartment than a hotel room.
3rd bed was a fold out sofa but that was pretty comfortable.
Showers were great (water pressure and hot water temps were good)
WiFi was good and fast.
Location location location. Right on the beach, only a short tram ride from the airport for less than 2 euro, walking distance to the train station without luggage or a quick taxi ride.
Loved this location, we were there in Winter, I would love to return in summer.
Only negative was sleeping on the sofa it was close to the balcony and so was noisy. The main bedroom is otherwise separated and did not have this issue.

On first glance, the location might not seem ideal for the tourist as it’s 2km/15 min walk from the town centre, but the hotel is right next to the very regular T2 line trams stop with easy and quick access to both the Airport (15 minutes to Terminal 1) the town centre (3 stops away). The staff are friendly, but the check-in really needs to be a lot quicker. We had a one-bedroom apartment which was pleasant, spacious, very clean with two balconies and was well kitted out. But while there is a dishwasher, be aware that there is no clothes washing facilities in the rooms. These kind of apart-hotels do not do room cleaning, which was fine for us, there was adequate towels and toiletries provided for the duration of the stay and there is a bin provided on the ground floor for rubbish.

However, the aircon didn’t work, and with an outside temperature of 25 degrees this was somewhat uncomfortable at night. You couldn’t open the window, as the noise outside would be unbearable with passing trams and the local’s penchant for stupidly loud car/bike engines which they like to advertise to everyone at 3 am. But probably the deal breaker for me was the slow WiFi. This hotel advertises wifi, but the “free” version is not suitable for anything other than web browsing and email (I never obtained a speed over 2 Mbps), so you are expected to pay an extortionate €5/day for Wifi for "full" streaming or video conferencing. Had I known that, I would not have stayed here. I had to use my mobile phone for conference calls with work, and that is just not okay for this price. And a minor irritation is the “separate toilet” which is ridiculously small to the stage it’s comical with just a few inches between the toilet and the door.

Pro's and con's with this hotel.

Pros:
Don't let the outside of the building of Adagio Nice Promenade Des Anglais deceive you, this apartment hotel is really nice from the inside! Big bright rooms, it's clean and right by the beach.

Con's:
There was one person working behind the desk that was rude most of the times when he was at work. Which wasn't OK.
It's noisy from outside and the air condition did not work that well.

Remember to take an Uber to the hotel! We paid 35 euros for taxi, while an Uber would cost 13 euros.

This hotel is a long way from the old town, so if you are not able to walk 20-30 minutes to city center then you should either go for another hotel or take Uber.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback following your recent stay with us. Although we would have preferred you to have had a more enjoyable experience, your feedback and impressions are very important to us because they help us to improve our services on a daily basis. For the alternatif to taxis you still have a public transportation ( Tramway stop at 100m away) at 1.50€ per person to reach city center or the port in less then 10 mn. We hope to have the great pleasure of welcoming you back soon.

OK. So from the start.... there have been some very negative reviews on this aparthotel and we can happily say that they are all unfounded.

The hotel is as advertised and what you would expect for the price. Everything necessary is as it should be and clean and tidy and safe with friendly helpful staff.

Our room was 'city view' which wasn't as unpleasant as reviews lead you to believe. Yes, it looks out onto other accommodation, the tram, the railway, the bypass Road and a secondary road parallel to promenade anglais but you can't hear them much at all. Not at all with the doors shut!

The air con is lovely and silent and free.

The bathrooms clean and with bath and shower.

The kitchenette is ample for hot snacks and breakfast.

The bed is large and comfortable with disposable undersheet to keep the mattress fresh.

From the front entrance you exit onto the promenade for a 1.5km stroll to the hub of nightlife restaurants and bars with a multitude of beach and roadside bars on the way. Alternatively leave by the rear and hop on the tram which runs parallel the promenade all the way to the port. On the other direction the tram will also take you all the way to the airport!

If you're in the market for budget self catering in Nice and don't mind that it's a little 'aged' then we'd say this is a good choice.

We stayed at Aparthotel Adagio, Nice for four nights in March 2024. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach area with the No12 bus stop right outside and the Fabron tram stop 2mins walk away. The hotel is listed as 4 star but feels more 3 star. The apartments are clean and definitely roomy, with a large living/kitchen area leading onto a balcony with sea view, bedroom, bathroom with separate toilet but it feels very tired and in need of some updating. Cracked/loose tiles in the bathroom, loose light switches, broken floor tiles on the balcony, kitchen wall trim taped in place made the apartment feel a bit shabby. The air conditioning was ineffective, which wasn’t too much of a problem in the living area (we left balcony patio door open) but left the bedroom uncomfortably hot during the night; the beds have a paper/plastic hygiene cover on the mattresses, which added to the problem. Whilst the hotel itself was pretty quiet, the Promenade de Anglais is the main road in and out of Nice, which meant there was traffic noise virtually all through the night, a bit of a problem when you need to leave the doors open because of the heat! The staff on reception were friendly and helpful, especially Jerome, who gave us great advice on getting around and places to see etc. In summary, we enjoyed our stay but don’t think I’d choose Adagio again.

The location was great (literally just across the street from the beach) and the balconies on the south side of the hotel provided great views of the sea and the coast. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was average for a hotel, nothing special. The hotel itself, however, was certainly in need of repairs. The blinds in one of the bedroom just fell off the wall while we were away, the automatic shades on the sliding glass door broke on our second night, the shower would not drain and had just standing water, and the kitchen was not entirely ready to be actually used for cooking.

It wasn't our 1 time in Nice, so we planned our holiday in advance. We did a booking in the end of February and paid all amount straight. During check-in receptionist asked me to give the card with which I paid, but I didn't have it. So she said that we need to pay again. After calling hire management she gave us key from the room. We had booked 10 nights in the hotel always had issue with WiFi, wasn't working propearly during all our stay. Food Delivery couriers come to the guest lift with bicycle and walk on floors, never saw that in other hotels. In bedroom we had plastic sheet on the mattress that made my nights not comfortable and hot. Air-condition doesn't work properly. All furniture is very old. Only one good thing about hotel it's great location (if you plan to spend time on the beach) and nice view. TV remote was broken and covered with red tape around, when we asked on reception changed it, receptionist said that it works. And it's 4 star property. Chock and disappointment. No proper window in bedroom, if you stay for 2-3 nights maybe it's ok, but not for longer. Don't recommend. Staff don't care about guests as Nice very touristic place and if not you someone else will stay.

This hotel is very conveniently located for the beach. The rooms are lovely and we got an room for three singles with ocean views. The verandah is perfect for evening drinks and self prepared meals.
The walk to town is quite a long way so you may want to hire a bike or catch the buses. Both available nearby.
We walked from the train station with our bags but it is quite a long walk, luckily there are some nice bars to stop in along the way.

This property is dated and well past its prime. Ceiling tiles were stained, floor tiles broken and property is generally smelly. Of you are unlucky to get a "city view" the experience is even worse. The only positive is its location and it is a shame they left the place to rot

Stayed with family in a 1 bed Apartment with sea view at adagio promenade des Anglais for last 2 weeks in June. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay even being available at 4 Am for an early morning departure on our last day. My wife used a wheelchair due to mobility issue and did not encounter ant access problem at any time. The Apartment was large and comfortable and suited or needs, The hotel is well located on the promenade just across the street from the beach there are plenty of local shops and eating places within a few minutes walk of the hotel. We ate in several and enjoyed the food and chat with the locals who were very friendly. You can also have breakfast in the hotel which we also used. Usual good continental breakfast we have become used to on our visits to France . There is a tram stop behind the hotel , Fabron is your stop, trams are very regular every few minutes between Airport at one end of the promenade and port at the other. €5 for a day pass or€1.50 for a single trip. There is a rooftop area with sunbeds with some of the best views up and down the promenade and hills around nice as well as most spectacular sea view

They don’t have a car park and use a car park operated by another vendor. Space is not guaranteed and best to get written confirmation from them that there is a parking space available for you.

You can park your car behind the hotel like we did. Or if you are lucky to find a place on the Promenade.
