We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It is quite small and the staff is super friendly and makes you feel relaxed and like at home. We were offered to choose between two available rooms - one in light and one in darker tones. We chose the darker one because it had a larger bathroom with a bathtub. The room and the bathroom was really clean and we felt comfortable, hotel in general feels freshly renovated and decorated with taste. You can see that this place is being run with care, when leaving/coming back we were always welcomed with a smile. Before our trip we were a little worried that it was located next to the train station and weren’t sure if it was a safe part of the city, but in fact this location is very good and I definitely recommend this hotel!

Hello Sofjal2021, thank you for sharing your opinion about your stay with us. We are delighted to know that our services and our team allowed you to spend pleasant moments in Nice. We are indeed a small hotel that is committed to providing our travellers with a friendly atmosphere in a neat environment. Many people are afraid of the proximity of the station. As you can see, the area is safe and allows easy access to all the points of interest in the city.... and the calm of our impasse. What more could you ask for? It will be a pleasure to see you again during your next trip to Nice and its surroundings. The team of the Hotel Nice Côte d'Azur

I can't say enough great things about this hotel and the staff!! Audrey and Anthony, we miss you already! Always a great smile and greeting when we left or returned from our day. They made it feel like we were staying with old friends while vacationing! The hotel itself is small, quiet (never heard street noise or even from neighboring rooms). The breakfast is simple but an easy tasty way to start the day. We were given room 303 which was the best room in the place. It was so quiet and lovely, with a small french balcony window looking down the entrance street for pretty views. There were two other large windows giving the room a bright airey feel. The location is near the train station so it was really easy to take our day trips to other nearby towns. We walked to old town Nice many times and thought it is a bit of a walk, we enjoyed the walk and never felt unsafe. If you want to be in the main center of Nice, this is not the place for you. If you want a wonderful charming boutique hotel, amazing staff, and ease to the train for sight seeing, this IS THE PLACE! Thank you again Audrey and Anthony for all your wonderful travel tips, restaurant recommendations, and laughs and kindness. Alese and Danny

We chose the hotel for price and location and were really not expecting to find such a lovely hotel in immaculate condition with fabulous bathrooms and every little detail thought about from the guests point of view. Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone I know
The receptionist was amazingly helpful and recommended a superb restaurant where we had a wonderful night at locals prices. Can’t think of a thing that would have improved our stay

This is a nice hotel in a quiet side street, five mins from Nice-Ville train station and very close to the main shopping street.

Audrey on reception was lovely and very helpful.

The air conditioning was fantastic in the reception area yet in our room, we felt it could have been cooler. We did ask if it was working and we're told it was, it was just very quiet.

Rituals toiletries in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash and body lotion) which smelled fantastic. Our bathroom also had a bath and seperate shower. Hairdryer was good.

The room itself was large and bright with lovely big windows but I'm afraid the bed and pillows weren't great (for us), leaving us with stiff backs and necks each morning! We couldn't get the TV to connect to our phones but again, that might've been us. There's a kettle in the room with sachets of coffee and tea.

WiFi connection was good throughout the hotel.

The old town was around 25 mins away and the beach around 20 mins - the city is safe to walk around both day and night.

I will be truthfully I was nervous booking this property as I always stay at Marriott Properties or larger 4-5 star properties however decided to book this hotel & DO NOT REGRET IT ONE BIT. The hotel is well kept outside & inside with some of the most exceptional friendly staff I have ever experienced in my travels. They go over & beyond. It’s in a cute area of Nice within walking distance of everything from train station is 2 mins away to beach 15 mins by walking, etc. I would say everything is within 20 mins or less walking distance & if not train is right there. The rooms are very clean, larger than most rooms in France, modern & simply done. The beds are beyond comfortable. Overall I can’t say enough about this hotel. Highly Recommended!

We had a large room (301) for a hotel that was not very big. It was not only large, but it was in great shape and looked like it was recently re-done in a stylish, but not overly flashy manner. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and it was also a decent size, as was the wonderful shower. They had excellent towels which were very much appreciated. It was quiet, except in rare instances where someone right outside the door was talking loudly. Otherwise, we heard nothing from the outside, particularly because we were in the interior of the interior of the block the hotel was located on. The staff was very friendly, for the most part, especially Anthony, who was helpful several times. We asked for some stuff – extra towels, toilet paper, toothbrushes, etc. They all were delivered promptly and without any grief. The toothbrushes were the best I ever have seen. They literally last forever. They offer breakfast, but we did not partake. It sounded tasty, though. The location was very good – very close to the train station and not incredibly far from the waterfront. Indeed, I would say it is fairly centrally located. Maybe 20-30 minutes from everything we wanted to see by walking, except the Matisse Museum, which was not worth bothering anyway. Restaurants and markets very close. The price was reasonable for what we got, considering Nice is very popular ( good thing we came right before high season started ). I don’t believe anything didn’t work or anything we were unhappy with. The only aspect that might be problematic for yiu is parking, if you come by car. We came by taxi from the airport., but we rented a car and came back to the hotel to get our luggage and that was difficult as you come in by a short shared driveway, that is always lined with cars, the streets are fully parked up. You would want to check this out with the staff before you come, as we did not see lots nearby as we walked around. We might have missed them, though.

We were remarkably content. It was the start of a 75 day trip and we spent eight nights here. It was a relaxing place to start, both the hotel and Nice. I would do it again, in an instant. If you haven’t been to Nice before, you will instantly like it and if you want a problem-free refuge when you return after a long day of touristing, this is an excellent choice.

Hello, we're delighted that you've enjoyed our hotel so much, knowing that you've been to many other establishments before. In fact, the hotel was renovated two years ago and offers the latest eco-responsible equipment (connected TV, LED lighting, individually controlled air conditioning, water-saving showers, baths and washbasins, etc.). Anthony was delighted to give you lots of information and good local addresses. The hotel is right in the city center. The Promenade des Anglais is a 10-minute walk away, the old town 15 minutes, but you can take the tram, which is 5 minutes away, to get there more quickly. Don't hesitate to come back and visit us next time you're on the Côte d'Azur. Don't forget to book your stay directly on our website. The Hôtel Nice Côte d'Azur team

The location of the hotel was good and the rooms comfortable. However I gave a 3 star rating because of refreshing and cleaning of the room was not done well. I expected more from a 4 star hotel. Basic cleaning like replacing the used toilet roll or replacing the shower gel and cleaning the floor of trash was not done properly. The cleaning crew needs to buck up and be more thorough.

I loved my stay here and would definitely come back. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms and bathrooms are lovely. Rooms cleaned daily. The staff are so friendly. The location is really close (less than 5 min walk) to the train station which brings to all along the coast to Cannes, Antibes, Monoco, Menton etc. 15 minute walk to the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel at Nice
Review

It started with the parking for my car, hotel doesn’t have their own parking lot at all ! You can walk to the public garage and pay € 33 a day, but the website says parking is available just not specific information!
The room was not air conditioned when we arrived at the check in and for the 3 nights we have had no air. We were constantly begging to fix the A/C and the rest of electrical devices and they constantly came up with the bunch of excuses!
The outside temperature was around 98F at 80% humidity. They have a remote central control board for all the rooms! The a/c display in your room is just a toy you have no say in what temperature you may have, they decide it for you! They dictate what room temperature you might have depending “how much they like you”!!!
The manager, Alex, suggested that if you don’t like our ways, you can leave, but I was trapped, no rooms in the city (vacation time for all Frenchmen )! The TV had 2 English channels (news only )no smart tv for iPhone users, no light in the shower, mini bar did not have enough cooling , another words total cheapness all of the way. They are economising on customers and I have paid $300.00 per night ! The furnishings are the IKEA, at best, and I had to ask for an extra padding to accommodate a hard bed mattress. Another words a disaster all around! I would not recommend this hotel. The location and the neighbourhood did not feel safe to me!

Hello Yana, obviously your comment does not concern our hotel. We do have our own parking spaces and all our rooms are equipped with individual air conditioning. Our guests can choose the temperature, the power of the ventilation and turn the air conditioning on or off in their room. What's more, no one in our team is called Alex. Finally, all our rooms are equipped with large flat-screen televisions, connected to French and foreign channels. Not to mention that we don't have any Ikea furniture and that our beds are new and of high quality. I'll leave it up to you to remove your review and put it on the relevant hotel page. This hotel is in a great location if you want to travel to Monoco or Antibes as train station is only a few meters away. A very comfortable and clean room with enough choice for breakfast. Staff are very helpful especially Maude. It is close to lots of shops and restaurants and also the tram. I highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.
