The Holiday Inn Nice - Saint Laurent Du Var, an IHG hotel, garners positive opinions for its service, with many guests commending the friendly staff and the handy shuttle service, though a few noted occasional inconsistencies at breakfast. The hotel's cleanliness stands out, with special mentions of the pristine rooms and renovated spaces. While the beach amenities are a hit, offering good value, the cost of beach chairs has been a sticking point for some. The lack of a pool and limited breakfast options were drawbacks for a few guests, despite the hotel's favorable seaside location and diverse dining choices. The rooms, praised for their spaciousness and sea views, are a highlight, though there was an isolated report of pests. Overall, the atmosphere is well-regarded, with the bar area receiving compliments for its inviting decoration.

Really nice hotel, clean and spacious with nice staff. The location is perfect, around 10 minutes from the airport and 20 mins to the city using public transport. Loved the transfer to the airport. Rohit was super and welcoming.

This was a booking deferred from
Winter due to Covid 19 to June. We enjoy Cannes usually but wanted to discover more of Nice and area so decided to book this waterfront area. It’s definitively worth booking early to have breakfast included as part of early bird package. Whilst it’s a modern resort hotel, the staff were so welcoming, helpful and kind to us throughout our stay. The warmth of the hospitality and greeting was a nice surprise. The Greek driver who operates the courtesy shuttle was so friendly and helpful. It is close to the airport but the aircraft noise is not at all distracting. One of the rivieras largest shopping centres is on the waterfront just 10 minutes walk away , cap 3000, and we never expected that. We found the breakfast exactly what it should be in France with good selection of fresh breads, pastries and freshly Omelettes and eggs offered each morning if required. A coffee station to have as many freshly made cups of your favourite beverage and there’s a big nod to the environment by serving fruit and fromage frais in glass pots. The bay star main waterfront restaurant surpassed our expectations with adventurous well prepared plates but there are no shortage of other restaurants cafes and ice cream parlours along the clean and well maintained waterfront. Something for even the fussiest guests in your party! Private beach area is good probably could do with separate loos and showers for beach club to avoid going through restaurant. There is no swimming pool here. Overall, we are really enjoying our stay and the staff could not be more welcoming and considerate.

Each employee we dealt with here was friendly, kind, efficient and extremely helpful. The service was some of the best we came across for our entire 2 wk trip to France. The room size is reasonable and the a/c worked well during the heat wave! The decor and amenities need an update -- the wall mounted hairdryer is reminiscent of the 1970s, though it did work fine. No toiletries or amenities like that other than soap at the sink. Our room was listed as 'mountain view' but because we were on the east side, we did have a partial sea view as well as the NCE runway (no problems with airport noise). The free airport shuttle is a benefit as our cab ride to the hotel was 32euro. Breakfast is a very nice, full buffet selection and you can also order an omelette (included). Tables inside and outside. The beach area reserved for HI is relatively small and 10euro/ea gets you a chair, umbrella, towels. Wasn't worth it to us and it was super hot. There are dozens of restaurants on a sort of boardwalk just outside the hotel grounds, no need to take a car anywhere if you don't want to. There is no pool and honestly, the fountain area is rather a waste (that's the center circle seen in the photos). An upgrade to even a shallow wading-style pool would be a huge plus. The property seems from another era and a bit tired. It's a great stay for a quick overnight within 10 min of the airport though.

In one word I would describe this hotel as perfect ! From check-in to check-out. Wonderful friendly and very professional staff. Checked-in by Margot and Céline. They gave us an upgrade to a beautiful room with an amazing sea view and they explained everything just perfectly with a friendly smile all the time. They really made us feel welcome.
They have a lovely restaurant just next to the beach where you can eat delicious food served by a very friendly staff like Alex and Linda. The staff of this hotel will make anything what they can to make your stay great. Undoubtedly we will come back to this wonderful hotel !
Once again thank you ( all staff ) to make our stay wonderful !

This complex incorporates the Holiday Inn Nice St Laurent du Var. Overall quality, service responsiveness is positive, the private beach is also excellent, but at the time of use, pricing was OTT so net composite value is reduced to 3 as a result. Cost for 3 nights stay was 1121 euros including a couple of restaurant bills, 1 night parking, in a ocean-view (called "premium" room.

Stayed a number of times over the years. Using IHG points we stayed in September after 5 nights in Nice central. Very close to airport but in a beach, harbour setting. Very close to the Cap 3000 shopping mall. The rooms are a good size with modern bathrooms and balcony with seating. Sea view rooms are bright and feel more of a holiday hotel. 5 stars to staff and reception. Some British IHG hotels could get some lessons ! Acknowledged Platinum Elite status, got room upgrade and make stay very personable. Great help with printing pesky covid paperwork for journey home. Rooms have fridge, plenty hanging, usual safe and kettle. Has own Bay beach restaurant and bar plus sun beds and seating in private area next to sea. Beach area a little sparse looking but towels were provided and was quiet and relaxing. Good range of nearby restaurants and bar. Bus can be taken to central Nice from Cap 3000 we only paid 18 euro in an Uber. Courtesy shuttle for airport which is very close and quick and very convenient for early morning flight. Will certainly be back.

This hotel has many great features such as a fantastic breakfast, spacious rooms and some excellent staff. However there are also some staff who lack key knowledge and skills required to work in the hotel and hospitality industry. We checked in on Aug. 21st, and that all went very smoothly and the front desk staff were friendly and polite. I booked a roll away bed and it was not in the room, and when I went back to inquire about it, I was assured it would be delivered. Upon returning from an outing, it was still not in the room. As a result, I went back to the front desk to ask to have it brought up, only to be told that it wasn’t possible to have a roll away bed in the room (and one of the staff informing me of this, told me that it would be delivered when I inquired earlier). Additionally, before leaving home for this vacation I phoned the hotel directly, to ensure the roll away bed was booked, they checked while on the phone and confirmed that it was booked. As I was explaining how it was ordered and that no one previously said it wasn’t possible, The response continued to be that it wasn’t possible. One of the staff members stated that there were already 2 big beds in the room and that was good for 4 people. (Note: there are 2 double beds in the room). The reason I need, requested and got confirmation is because I am a 50 year old menopausal breast cancer survivor and I take anti cancer medication which exacerbates hot flashes and excessive night sweating. Consequently, I have difficulty sleeping and having my husband 5 centimetres away from me generates additional heat, and because of my discomfort I then disturb his sleep. I don’t appreciate being led to believe that getting a roll away bed was not going to be a problem, only to be told that it isn’t possible. I would have booked elsewhere if I had of known.
The following day, Monday August 22/today at approximately 2:00 pm my family and I went to use the private beach, owned by the hotel only to be told that it was closed due to it being booked for a private party. I received no notification indicating this, nor was I told when I checked in the previous day. When I questioned why no one told me, the front desk staff asked me if I was told when I checked in, and I said no. Then she said that’s our mistake, someone should have told you. I also mentioned that if we had of known we would have structured our days differently. We planned to stay local today, and visit another town tomorrow, but would have organized it to reflect the closed beach…if we were notified. The lack of communication and major errors have negatively impacted our stay, immensely. It’s very upsetting that our stay here has created unnecessary anguish when we’re supposed to be enjoying our vacation.
We are checking out on the 24th, and I’m hoping not to run into any more problems with this hotel. Do better Holiday Inn!!!!!

Dear Ms Tiffany, We would like to thank you for your valuable feedback ! Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience that you experienced during your stay in our hotel. As our goal is to provide the best experience to our clients, we are sorry to have let you down. The problem linked to addiotional bed was a consequence of misunderstanding, as the room that you booked is a Premium Sea View quadruple room and the number of guests in the booking was four, so the room chosen upon the booking was supposed to fit the number of guests. As the hotel was fully occupied unfortunately we were not able to provide you a better solution. Unfortunately our team didn’t know the reason why an additional bed was requested, due to which we couldn’t provide in advance a better and more convenient solution for your stay. Our private beach was exeptionally closed from 2 p.m. on 22nd of August due to private event. We are very sorry if this information was missed at time of your arrival and that affected your holidays. We will do our best to improve communication in order to improve our service. Thank you once again for your constructive feedback. We remain at your disposal for any further discussion. Kind regards The Management

This is an excellent hotel with great staff and a superb location.

Location:
Only a five minute drive from Nice Airport in the seaside suburb of Saint Laurent du Var, The hotel is on the beach with no road between the back of the hotel and the beach. Rooms with a sea view have a superb view of the nearby marina and the sea. The photos they show accurately reflect this.

Shuttle:
The hotel offers a free shuttle. We called reception on arrival and were told the shuttle would be there in about 15 minutes and where to find it, it arrived on time and drove us to the hotel, about 5 minutes away. Going home, the shuttle again took us back to the airport, free of charge.

Reception:
A lovely welcome from Cindy who was very charming, helpful and informative. All the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, thanks to Cindy, Rohit and Damien. A birthday card and a cake had been placed in our room, as I had mentioned it was my birthday soon, what a nice touch!

Room:
We had booked a premium room with a sea view. The room was clean and comfortable with a large balcony with an amazing view of the sea and the marina.
Cindy called after about 20 minutes, just to make sure everything was ok. Incoming airplanes are visible as they sweep across the bay as they approach Nice Airport, but any noise was minimal and did not trouble us at all, we slept very well and the bed was comfortable. The room was tidied every day.

NB: If you do not book a room with a sea view, you may well be overlooking the street at the front of the hotel, sea view rooms are well worth the extra cost.

Breakfast:
Served on the ground floor in the restaurant. Good selection of food with omelettes etc available on request.

Points to note:
The hotel does not have a restaurant, breakfast is the only meal served in the building. However there are a large number of excellent restaurants just outside the rear exit which leads to the beach. We had very good meals in any we tried.

The hotel does not have a swimming pool. The pool you may see in photos is very shallow and only for decoration of the garden. Something to bear in mind if that is important for you.

The huge CAP 3000 shopping mall is a five minute walk away and is well worth a visit.

This was a good choice for us on our first visit to Nice. Good location, fantastic views and wonderful staff. Recommended.

I stayed 4 nights in this wonderfull hotel. Everything was perfect. The check-in was very professional. We got an upgrade to the 5th floor with an amazing sea-view. The big room had a balcony, great bathroom, and all things you need for a perfect holiday. All staff was very friendly especially Margot and Céline. There's also a private beach and the restaurant Bay Star served the most delicious meals. We ate 4 days lunch and diner. All staff in the restaurant were super friendly and motivated, especially Linda for Lithuania and Alex. The only negative point about our stay was the we couldn't stay longer. I surely return.

The long beachfront stretch of restaurants is quite wonderful. We didn't pay for beach access and just walked along the boardwalk instead. It was way too hot when we were there to enjoy sitting out at the beach anyway! The breakfast was nicely stocked and staff was really helpful. You can sit outside in nice weather and also inside seating. The front desk staff was incredibly polite and helpful. The shuttle to the airport was right on time. The rooms are a bit dated but everything works fine and it was quiet. The outside between the hotel and the boardwalk is this odd "gated" patio that isn't a patio at all. There is a security guard making sure that only hotel visitors come through but it's just a mass of unattractive concrete where they could easily put a huge pool or fountain, or even plants! We had a room with a side/obscured view of the ocean but it was a little peak and we could watch the planes land too. A great place to stay to be close to the airport, which was our plan -- we didn't go into the city of Nice unfortunately.

No that is not true. You can leave your laundry at the front desk and they send out to a service. It costs a lot. About 5 blocks away I found a wonderful laundry service. The owner spoke almost no english but she was just wonderful. I dropped my stuff off at 8 am and picked it up at 5 pm. 4 loads of laundry was like $15. The name of the place was: Laverie De La Gare 06700 Saint Laurent de Var 5 to 7 minute walk at most from the hotel.
