A lovely boutique hotel in the perfect location beside the port / marina. All of the room our group had were unique differing in size but all were clean and comfortable with a great shower.

Breakfast is continental style cleverly presented in the reception area. A wide range of options to choose from with cooked sausage & egg, fruit, pastries, cheese, cold meats with hot and cold drinks.

The one issue was the proximity to a church and the bells from 8am ... no need for an alarm !! They do love their church bells in Marseilles so I wouldnt think there would be too many places not impacted by the ringing.

If I were you I would skip. Staff were nice but the bathroom and room had little bugs flying around in the room and bathroom. Just Average Hotel but a great locations. Will stay at Les Bords De Mer next time like I knew I should have.

Enquired on booking if room had a bath . Had a reply saying all rooms had baths . Not so. First room no bath , moved to another where the plug mechanism didn’t work . Raised with reception staff and not fixed . Moved to another room …. no bath . All quite a farce . A very nice hotel otherwise in an excellent position for the metro and sightseeing . But I’m a bit baffled by the bath situation and I like a bath 😊.

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely hotel and were entirely delighted. We upgraded to a de luxe room with a terrace and found we had a huge bed and the terrace had stunning views of the Old Port and stupendous sunsets.

Our room was on the 6th floor (601, they said it was the best room) and no problems waiting for the lift. It was large and had a large bathroom with walk in shower and bath and bath robes and slippers. The hairdryer was quality and worked a treat. Towels were plentiful and hugely fluffy. Shampoo, shower gel and body lotion were provided.

Breakfast was small and tasteful and there was plenty of choice but it had to be replenished a lot because space was short but that wasn't a problem.

The staff were friendly and helpful and we loved the location of the hotel right by the middle of the old port surrounded by shops and restaurants with Galeries Lafayette to the rear.
It was 500 yards to the hop on hop off bus and 600 yards to the little train which is essential to get to the Madonna of the Garde at the top of the hill.
The boat trips out to the Count of Monte Cristo island are even closer and I absolutely loved this.

I would have liked a couple of easy chairs in the room and a magnifying mirror and more than 4 coat hangers but these are small matters compared to the overall ambience and pleasure of staying here.

We would highly recommend this delightful hotel to anyone wanting somewhere central but refined to stay.

Absolutely exceptional small hotel in a perfect location. I travel a lot, 22 countries in the last 7 or so years and count this to be among my top 3 hotels to date. Our room was spacious, elegant and spotless with 3 Juliet balconies overlooking the boat filled quay. It felt very modern and yet timelessly French. Bed was queen size and very comfortable, double sinks and excellent bath and powerful shower. We even had a balcony window from our toilet offering excellent views is you were so inclined 😀.

The staff couldn’t be more helpful and had excellent recommendations for places to eat and visit. There was a glass lift which went up the centre of the beautiful wrought iron stair case to all floors for those who require that. The breakfast was simple but plentiful with the butteriest croissants ever, freshly made fruit salads, crepes, chicken sausages, cereal and pain au chocolat every morning along with good coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. There was a Nespresso machine and tea making facilities in our room also.

Location wise you really couldn’t beat it when it comes to a central base to see all the attractions of Marseille. It’s right beside all the best eateries and quayside bars, while being right in the middle of the Palais Longchamp, Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde and the Museums and Art Galleries. If high end shopping is your thing it is right beside many of the big label stores.

Just wonderful. Can’t recommend it enough.

1 star.

Well, the hotel bills itself as 3 stars or 4 stars depending on the booking site. And like its name it bills itself as new. Sadly the hotel is 2 stars at best, been a while, a long while since I have been in a hotel that doesn’t have a mini fridge in the room. That’s the bare basic minimum that a 3/4 star hotel must have. The room is also showing signs of age, scruffs and a huge dent on the bathroom door. The bathroom smells when I entered the room and I had to keep the light and exhaust on 24/7 to rid the smell.
I opted out our breakfast which my travel mates told me I was lucky, in their words HORRIBLE.
And for the price they are charging, it’s really not worth it. Also note, it is in a pedestrian only area, cars and taxis can’t get in and you’ll find yourself pushing your luggage about a block, and even then, there isn’t a clear spot for taxis or cars to drop off and pick up

We stayed at this hotel in August. The air conditioning in our room did not work. We were told that the hotel was full and that they would give us a discount and a refund. They NEVER did anything. They don't even respond to emails. Surely this is a hotel with "no manager". The problem is not the hotel, the problem is that if you have a problem in the hotel, not only will they not solve it, they will ignore you. WORST SERVICE.

the hotel is well located but they air conditioning was not working and as a result the whole experience was bad.
Additionally, the booking system had an issue, and whilst when I booked I am sure I looked for breakfast included, once I was there I had to pay for it.
Other guests had the same issue both with air conditioning and with the breakfast.
Overall I cannot recommend it.

We woke to light in our room at 1am from the hallway. As my husband got up the door shut and room went dark. We asked reception to check cameras to see who had entered our room. We slept both nights with table across our door for safety. Reception said they would get technicisn to check cameras as he only one with access. Got receptioinist to come to room as even though door locked you could still open with card. No contact from anyone advising they checked cameras. Didnt reply to emails sent to manager. Not safe to stay here. God knows what would have happened if we didnt wake!

The hotel is located next to the train station exit, and believed to be well renovated recently.

The hotel room is spacious, clean and well lit.

Go to the square next to port at times to see the activities there.

I need to mention their hotel staff , Samantha was so helpful to help me find my lost wallet at Aix En Provence. I get it back! So grateful to her! Merci Beacoup!
