I spent a few nights at this B&B during the busy Euro Soccer championships. The hostess was extremely kind and helpful even leading up to my trip, responded right away to all my questions and she was very flexible and accommodating with payment. Upon my late night arrival all restaurants were closed, so she brought some cheese and bread to my room, along with a glass of wine. The property is in a lovely quiet neighborhood, private entrance to a spacious room. Bus stop is right there and the metro is an easy walk away too. I'd highly recommend staying there, good breakfast.
Hard to find especially when you are coming late night, and everyone in the city are watching France - Italy football match. Apart from that, charm, comfort, french style chateau rooms, a friendly atmosphere, nice and helpful owner. Very pleasant time spending here. Memorable the breakfast in the yard.
Huge rooms, nicely supplied. Slept well! Breakfast is basic (bread, jam, tea), and the Wi-Fi was spotty in some areas of the room, but once you found a good spot, it worked well! For a huge city with tons of construction work going on, this place provided a quiet stay that I enjoyed.
The hosts are very friendly and the house is absolutely gorgeous. The locals are really nice if you need directions and the little village has such charm, great for walks and good food. The local museum was also interesting. Takes a little time to get into Marseille but it is so worth it to see the quieter side of the area, the beautiful foothills and such are nice for walks. The Bastide is so different from your average hostel, so much history! More than worth it... I actually stayed there 3 or 4 years ago and have been regretting never giving them a good review, so here it is! Would love to return.
We saw the lady owner only on arrival - she want sorry that the bill was not ready yet (we did booked for 2 nights). Bedroom - ok old style with some white pain on it to make it nice.Do not use the plugs they are coming out of the walls and already full of extensionsleads... We did booked for 2 nights and our room was not refresh on the morning they only clear the tbreakfast tray... that was a surprise! WC - an horrible smell of suage in the toilet and bedroom corridor at all time!! Discasting!! Bathroom - tiny space with a shower and a shower curtain (I hate shower curtain) in the corner. And no door between the shower room and the berdoom just a curtain. No Privacy. Breakfast - a basket with french bread (1 piece each) is left on the front of your door with a flask of coffee, you will have to do your own tea as the kettle is in the room. You need to have your breakast in the room! Pool - dirty. I will not recommend this called 'B&B' - it look more that they rent the rooms out for some extra cah. I can't post photos as we ask not too - there is a sign the bed room.…
