My wife and I have stayed at Mas des Figues just outside of Saint Remy in Provence, France for the last five years. This September 2016 we stayed for a week and it was wonderful again. We enjoyed our walks along the canal and swimming in the heated pool. The flowers and trees on the grounds allow you to enjoy... More

My husband and I stumbled upon this wonderful place in St. Remy through our Airbnb host. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon on our honeymoon. We learned all about Provencal cooking and had a tour of the eclectic garden and grounds from our eccentric host, Philippe Michelot and his lovely wife Anne Marie. Our cooking lesson was very... Just outside Saint Remy, in the quiet countryside, is this quite lovely resort. The first thing that you'll notice, on arrival, is that the grounds are festooned with 'unusual' sculptures. The artist (Phillippe) claims his styles is 'kitsch' - I would, personally put it in the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band / Monty Python school of art myself, but there you... More

The plantings, interspersed with great art pieces, at this hotel are 5 star. Same for the rooms. The disappointment was the feeling of trespassing, instead of being a guest. We had spent several weeks prior to our stay here being spoiled by the lovely hospitality of the French. In 3 other spots (St Malo, Paris, and Sarlat) we were welcomed... More

Our third visit here. Unbeatable for peace and relaxation amongst the flowers and sculptures. Lovely salt water pool, great breakfasts. Well located for zipping in to St Remy or Arles. Only downside is the price. At this level of luxury and room cost, paying another 4 euros for a bottle of water is a bit steep. At more reasonable rates... More

Really enjoyed our stay. Ideally situated between saint Rémy and les Baux. Astonishing garden, excellent breakfast with home grown products. Perfect for those seeking a calm and quite gettaway. Typical Provence atmosphere, warm and friendly owners. The whole place is just perfectly maintained, rooms are impeccably clean and decorated in typical Provence style, airco runs tip-top. So did the WiFi,... More

There are so many good places to stay in this area I have titled this review by what makes this place special. The gardens are beautiful (if cluttered with some very bizarre 'artwork') and the pool is great after a hot day's sightseeing. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with excellent air-conditioning. It also had a semi-private garden... More

This is such a beautiful place, and the hosts are so welcoming, we did not want to leave. Set in the midst of large gardens, the old farmhouse and barn have been converted to offer gorgeous accommodation. We had a four-poster bed in a delightful air-conditioned room, furnished very comfortably, and decorated with the owner's own art works. Our bathroom... More
