Very friendly staff, and a great location. Handy for the rail station, and the resturants on the port "promenade". Spiral staircase is not for the feint hearted with 96 stairs to he top floor, but the staff immediately changed our room to one on a lower floor.Breakfast was good and given the opportunity we will use this hotel next time...

Friendly staff, good location. My husband and I booked this place last minute for approx €60 for one night. We had a double room with ensuite. The room was nice and big, very clean with a comfortable bed. Light and airy, with a separate toilet to bathroom. It also had a small lounge area with a day bed where we...

Went to watch Toulon play rugby at Stade Mayol, and this hotel was the perfect base. Went in November and got told as the hotel was quiet, they'd put us in a bigger room for no extra cost. Staff spoke great English, the reception was manned 24/7, and the wifi was good. It's about a 15 min walk from Toulon...

We were blown away by this hotel, ok not the most luxurious hotel out there but it has kept its truely french style, with its stone staircase and shutters, we stayed because we used the auto train to get to the south of france and had an overnight stay in Toulan, it was a short walk from the trainstation and...

Being on a tight budget meant that we chose to stay in this inexpensive hotel. It is close to other areas in the south of France, such as Cannes, Saint Tropez, Nice and Monaco, making it a useful base for exploring this region. It is also just a ten minute walk from the train station. The hotel itself is located...

We chose this hotel because we were on a roadtrip through the South of France and it was cheaper to stay in the out-of-the-way towns than it was to stay in Marseille or Nice. It was still overpriced for what we got. I know this isn't the hotel's fault, but getting to Toulon was a nightmare. The exit was closed...

I was in Toulon recently to attend a production @ Opera Toulon and stayed for 2 nights with friends at the Hotel Bonaparte. A lovely small, warm and extremely clean hotel, located directly in the centre of everything, 5 mins walk from the waterfront with its array of restaurants and 10 mins walk from the station. Don't get me wrong,...

I was taking a cruise from Toulon France on October 14, 2012 and was looking for a nice reasonably priced hotel to overnight at and that was relatively close to the cruise ship terminal. After an 8 hr flight to London Gatwick and then a 6 hour train ride from King's Cross St. Pancras Tube Station to Toulon France, we...

Hotel Bonaparte is situated opposite a square on a busy road. The reception when you walk in is very small and first impressions aren't great. We had a room on the second floor which faced the back of the hotel over the rooftops, not a pretty view though. The room itself was very small with little room for manouvre. It...

They put us on a room on the FOURTH FLOOR WITHOUT ELEVATOR!!!!!! The room was VERY small, and the furniture/decoration was almost depressing. There was only a small window and NO AIR CONDITIONER. Just an old dirty fan put on a chair... Really uncomfortable. Stay away!

“All rooms are off a central spiral staircase and there is no lift. If you have trouble with stairs or manouvering then take a room on the first floor, also the breakfast room is on the first floor too (if you have breakfast). But if you have no mobility issues, I would say take a room on a higher floor at the front, as you get a nice view of the square if your room is at the front of the hotel.”
