A friend and I recently stayed here for a night. The hostel is a bit basic, but is clean enough. It's up a steep hill, but the view is definitely worth the climb/trek. The front desk is closed for a big part of the day. When we arrived, a female member of staff let us put our luggage in a...

The hostel is clean and well maintained. The beds are nice and showers are good. For these reasons the hostel gets an average rating. The staff were incredibly unfriendly. The girl at reception for most of the two days we were there seemed annoyed at us for disturbing whatever she was doing on her phone. When we asked questions we...

I had a pleasant stay in this hostel. It is situated at a hill-y place and at one point I was not sure I was going to the right direction. But I did locate it. The hostel is well maintained, clean. The stuffs were very nice, spoke good English too. However there is none at the reception from noon to...

Clean and friendly. This hostel is located just outside the main pedestrian area in Annecy, up quite a steep hill but the view from the terrace makes it all worthwhile. A stunning view, it makes breakfast an experience in itself. The hostel is clean and fairly quiet. The communal areas are good, the bar has a good pool table and...

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Caught the bus from the railway station to the Hostel and each day walked downhill 10 min to the old town. View of the lake from the Hostel is lovely, its quite and relaxing. Staff were very helpful, I had trouble connecting to my email and Juliette went out of her way to...

This is a beautiful hostel! As are many hostels in France. Yes, it is a bit of a distance from the train station and there is a hill involved. It's not too bad and it's no big deal considering what you get in return. The hostel has a typical lodge feel to it, which is perfect, considering where you are....

This hostel is a long hard walk from the train station especially if you are packing a lot gear in your backpack. Upon arrival, it was worth the hike. The place is well run, clean, and quiet. There is a backyard with picnic tables, games room, bar, laundry room, kitchen facilities and library. There is a resident beagle who is...

This hostel is a bit off the beaten track, but well worth staying at if you want to save on some cash. People complain about the hill, but really it's a 10-minute walk to downtown and not all of it is hills. Definitely a work out, but worth it after you eat all the delicious food and ice cream in...

We stayed overnight – and the hostel is very cozy and comfortable. The view of Annecy from here is amazing, and the kitchen, breakfast and facilities are also very good. Only negative point is the location- it’s a steep walk up the hill (even if you take the bus till last point) – and could be tough for the elderly,...
