We had accommodation booked at our ski resort for the Saturday and wanted to get there early enough to sort out our ski hire, do a shop etc and looked at places to stay about an hour away. We decided on Annecy as it is such a beautiful place within the old town. We liked the look of the Palais D'Isle and we weren't disappointed. It is in a great location in the heart of the old town, adjacent to the lake and with parking just 250m away. This place is not you usual hotel, it is in an old building and the interior is a mixture of conformity and adaptation to that fact. The overall effect is pretty damn good and very interesting. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and the hotel was very accommodating. Breakfast was reasonably priced for what was on offer but you do need to bring your appetite - the extent was huge. All in all a memorable stay and I would be more than happy to return.

This quaint hotel is located right on the canal in Annecy and is in the old town. We had a family room and it was quiet with block out curtains. The room was all we needed for a nights stay. My only regret is not booking breakfast. We thought everything would be open but nothing was . They didn’t provide shampoo and conditioner but they provide body wash

Dear Jayneeveringham, Thank you for your review and your feedback about your stay and the room. We would like just to let you know that the dispenser in the shower is "hair & body" so it is a shampoo to. Regarding the breakfast we tell our customers that it is better to book it in advance but it is not necessary and you also come without reservation. Thank you for your nice review again and we hope to welcome you very soon, Best regards,

Charming hotel in an excellent location. We upgraded to a room with a view overlooking the water, which was just stunning. Very nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Very friendly staff.
Unfortunately the fridge was not cold, but probably due to the room key needs to be inserted, which you need with you when out! A different card won't work. The car park is a walk away too, so make sure you pack to allow for this.

I realize this hotel is in an old building so space is limited. But I expected more seating area when I booked a premium double. The website photos for a premium room show a sitting area with a couch but all my premium room had was an uncomfortable hard chair and a footstool at the foot of the bed. Space for two luggage bags was practically non-existent. It was impossible to take a shower standing up as it was built under an angled ceiling and was only about 5'4" headroom. Had I booked a standard room I would have no complaints but not when paying extra for "premium ". Frankly, I can't see what was premium about this room at all.

If you are traveling by car, I strongly advise you not to arrive late Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The town is very crowded on the weekends and parking is extremely difficult to find. The town helpfully has signs updated in real time showing the number of spots available in the main garages. The recommended location of Hotel de Ville was completely full and still had cars lined up at the entrance to get a spot. It took us 45 minutes to get a spot in a more distant garage after driving by several garages.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it was in a fantastic location, right on the canal and in the middle of everything. Could walk around the park, to the lake, to shopping and restaurants. The room was comfortable, if somewhat small. Breakfast was certainly adequate with excellent coffee. The staff was very helpful with directions and advice. Very close to parking and the discount they offered was really helpful, Highly recommend

The location of the hotel is ideal: right in the middle of the old town, a few steps away from the emerald green water of the canal. We loved the way our room was decorated: chic, modern and with elements hinting at water and winter sports specific to the region. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful, informing us in advance about the main attractions of Annecy. The discount offered for the parking l'Hotel de Ville was a nice surprise for us. Overall, a great experience and a place we wish to visit again soon.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights im June 2023. The hotel is in an excellent, central location and acts as a great base for exploring Lake Annecy.

Our stay in the hotel was very comfortable. Our room was clean and airy. Despite the hotel being in a very central location, noise wasn't a problem.

Breakfast was a continental buffet with a good selection. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and the service was efficient.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel!

Dear Lisa, We thank you very much for your nice review! There are many animations in Annecy on summer, and as you specified we are in the very heart of the old town which is both an advantage for visiting and a disavantage for noises sometimes. Have a great summer and thank you again,

The hotel gets five stars for its central location in the historic district and also for being very quiet in a busy tourist area. The welcome was warm. Our room was very clean and had fun updated decor. The beds were pretty comfy and the modern bathroom was great. The generous breakfast buffet, managed by a very friendly and helpful woman, had hot eggs, an assortment of meats and cheeses, breads, cereals, and beverages—everything anyone would want and more. It’s a two-minute walk to Lake Annecy. Highly recommended.

Room was pristine clean, with very good amenities and facilities, a very comfortable bed, view over the old city and also lake. Great air conditioning in the heat of the day! It was a compact hotel so do not expect a large breakfast room - it uses the space it has to best effect. I think some complimentary water would be a lovely touch, especially when it is hot.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night. The reception staff were lovely and took our bags for us as we arrived too early to check in. The bed was comfy and it was smack bang in the centre of the old town beside the lake and all the tourist hustle and bustle.

The room was nice and tidy when we arrived and the shower was powerful however we noticed a lot of staining on the carpets and the tiles could do with a real regrout.

The main downside unfortunately was that there was a lot of noise throughout the night. Starting with people outside on the street in the early hours of the morning and then the noise was continued by the staff before and after 9am, which distrupted our wish for a lie in. I do not think that neither doors nor windows are adequately soundproofed.
