Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was in Switzerland for work so a quick evening and day trip to Chamonix was a must. Came here Friday evening, checked in and walked around town. Hotel is in a perfect location - not in center city but a stones throw away. They have a shuttle but I didn’t end up using it. Since I was only there for one day, literally 3 hours on the slopes, I learned that going to Le brevent was the best place since it was the closest. I had to rent but they have a deal with a ski shop right across the street which offers 20% off rentals. My rental for my snowboard and helmet came to 22 euros. Tip, get there early because it can get busy. The whole bus system and shuttle can be confusing at first. After getting my rental, I left my shoes there and walked 3 minutes to Chamonix Centre where you catch different buses to different mountains. From chamonix centre, it took less than five minutes to get to the base of Le Brevent. Free bus service and you can get your life ticket at the base of the mountain.

Hotel was great because depending on demand, they offer late check out for an extra 10 euros an hour and I fully took advantage of that and checked out three hours later. Quaint hotel, small bathrooms, WiFi was spotty but overall it was the location that did it for me. Would stay again in the future.

Just spent the weekend with my Geneva’s family at the hotel, first , the hotel is extremely well located inside Chamonix, parking is available at the hotel , the rooms ( we had 5 rooms ) were all nicely furnished with balcony , everyone enjoyed the spa and the warm inside pool . The restaurant is certainly one of the best in Chamonix. The breakfast buffet is almost decadent . LoL . As important, the staff is so courteous and helpful we felt guilty about leaving the hotel. I could go on and on . We had a great time and we will be back next month . I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!!

I stayed for one night at Le Morgane Chamonix prior to starting my Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) hike and during the events/races leading up to the TMB ultra marathon. Chamonix was busy with many streets closed and loud speakers for the events. The hotel was ideally located two blocks from the main shopping street and far enough from the center of town to have less event noise. Next door is a popular coffee shop Moody Coffee Roasters. The staff was friendly and showed me a couple rooms before I booked the hotel, as I arrived in Chamonix around 5pm without a reservation. My room was spacious providing enough space to prepare for my backpacking trip. I did not have enough time to use the pool and spa as they closed at 8 or 9pm and had to purchase supplies. The hotel stored my suitcase for free while I was doing the TMB even though I did not have a reservation on my return. Overall, I the hotel was good and would consider staying here again.

On the plus side:

Central
Shuttle van to slopes

On the minus side:

Tiny bathroom even in our suite
Had to get magnetic keys constantly redone
Smell of bleach in corridors
Sterile bar closes at 11pm
€2.50 per egg in morning - for 4 star hotel
Dining room dark
Very poor breakfast - no change all week

overpriced for facility - no Thank you 4 star by any stretch
Recomendations to Owner:
rebrand to 3 star and change your price
Recomendations to Chef:
menu to narrow and dear. Breakfast basic for a 4 star. Better in chalets.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Le Morgane in September for a week. We stayed in a lovely suite (lots of room!) with an ample terrace. This was our second stay. As with the first, the staff was just fantastic: friendly, helpful, very good at their jobs. They truly make the difference at the hotel.

We ate breakfast in the restaurant every day, and definitely enjoyed it. While the choices don't change a lot, they are of very good quality. If someone doesn't want to have breakfast there, there is a bakery across the street.

That brings me to the location. It's perfect. Also across the street is a self-serve laundromat, which is just such a benefit when hiking and having a long trip. A pharmacy is across the street as well.

Our room was always perfectly cleaned while we were hiking during the day. Housekeeping did a great job.

Without a doubt, we will stay again during our next visit to Chamonix.

I’d venture say, this is one of the best hotels in Chamonix. Very good location, steps away from the L’Aiguille de MIDI cabin and a wine store store offering a tremendous selection of French wines. The hotel offers parking both outside and covered. The is is quite a variety of rooms and suites, most of them with beautiful views of Mont Blanc. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Hotel is not luxury but everything one would need. The staff is very professional, willing to help and make recommendations for the area. The hotel is located on the “quiet side” of Chamonix with plenty of amenities just steps away: grocery store, reasonably priced quality restaurants and the Aiguille du Midi cable car. I would stay here again,

Very good location . Beautiful view.
Not enough light in the room.
We were not able to eat at the restaurant as it was fully booked for 3 days, while we expected some priority or a way to have some tables reserved for hotel guests.
The breakfast was good but always a queue at the coffee machine.
It would be good to invest in a second coffee machine !

Central Town location, far away from ski gondola, limited shuttle service that forces you to use not so near public transportation. But the amazing thing was that we were charged for a phone charger which non of us requested nor given. Even though
we have clearly said that when we checked out. They took it off the bill in the check out but charged our credit card a day later, without notifying and won't answer our emails. Questionable and unacceptable behavior, kind of which we have never witnessed!

Whilst the hotel looks nice on the website the actual facilities are less "Top Notch".

Rooms are average but clean.

Staff who shuttle you back & forth from the ski lifts are very polite & helpful & really do deserve a mention.

The hotel has one bar, and one restaurant. The service here is beyond abysmal. I sat here for around 40 minutes watching people arrive, sit down, and wait to be served. Guests going up to ask for menus as no one would come to greet them after 5-10 minutes. Lots of people just getting up & leaving. I cant begin to imagine how much money this must cost them.

My service was very slow, and the cocktail was disappointing and hastily made. Given the limited facilities I would have expected something more special..... but was sadly mistaken!

Stay somewhere else.

Apologies, only seeing your question now. There is ski rental a 2 minute walk away. Just across the river from the hotel. There is ski storage & lockers in the hotel. And if you want the ski rental stores can deliver your equipment to the hotel.
