Sometimes it can be a mistake to return to a holiday destination but this was not one of those. Since our last visit four years ago, the hotel has undergone updating to bathrooms, bedrooms and communal areas to make it a very comfortable place to stay in possibly the best location in Chamonix. It is situated on the edge of...

Two weeks in this hotel was fabulous. Danny the manager and all staff were brilliant. Meals were lovely with first class presentation. Chalet had great views with just a short walk from town centre. Travelling with a large walking group it was a great location for us all to visit all local attractions. We had all purchased passes for chairs...

Stunning views and a great location in a quiet area just a few minutes walk from the centre of Chamonix. I can't say enough good things about the staff as they were simply fantastic. The service was great, food great, free wine/fruit juice/tea/coffee, apperitifs, picnic lunch (including baguette, crisps, fruit, snack bar and juice boxes!). Great value for money and...

We stayed at this hotel first three years ago. It is manned by mainly British staff with an excellent chef and management. Our package included Half board but we also were given packed lunches, afternoon tea with home made cakes and free wine at the three course dinner. Its excellent value and because of its management causes no language problems....

In my opinion Ingham’s chalet hotels offer some of the best ‘value for money’ alpine holidays on the market. In this regard the Sapiniere lived up to my expectations with Danny and his team providing 5 star service on a 3 star budget. The views from the Hotel are just awesome with Mont-Blanc rising up behind the town and a...

We only stayed in this hotel as a last minute decision but we did not regret it. Where do I start? Staff lovely and extremely welcoming and attentive. All young and enthusiastic led by Danny the Manager. Special thanks to all those involved with the food side of things. The Chef Dylan and his team produced great food every night...

Fantastic! We have already booked for 2017 to return to La Sapiniere in Chamonix. This was our 3rd visit and did not think the service and value could be improved. Danny, this year's manager, had tweaked certain aspects of the hotel. His staff, bar none, were so professional. Every guest was special to them. Nothing was too much trouble. Our...

La Sapinière is situated about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Chamonix, and has outstanding open views to Mont Blanc. Some rooms have balcony views to the mountains, but the dining room and terrace gives the same outlook. The hotel is a bit tired in places and could do with some refurbishment – for example, there was a broken...

Had a fantastic week at this chalet hotel, nothing too much bother for the staff, food fabulous. Great to meet so many people and have the option to sit and talk with so many different people. Location great with views directly over looking Mont Blanc, breath taking, plus overlooking the paragliding landings on field in front of hotel. Will definitely...

It is so funny when you read previous reviews. Someone thinks the mixed dining is regimented whilst another thinks it a good idea. From my point of view I feel La Sapiniere has the correct attitude as it is a good way to mix with the other guests and get to know the various people. When we went on from...

We're grateful for your comments reflecting your own views on the dining arrangements offered in our Chalet Hotels, margaretc. We do indeed find differing opinions amongst our guests and we do always try to accommodate those who would prefer not to change tables each night. That said, we're pleased that you appreciate the sentiment here and that you subsequently enjoyed...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Arguably the best located hotel in Chamonix. The Savoy nursery slopes are literally just over the road from the hotel, from where the Savoy téléski lift whisks you up to the Brévent gondola, to access one of the best intermediate areas in the resort.Alternatively, the ski-bus to Chamonix's other ski areas stops just 50m away. The hotel's attractive dining room has semi-circular bay windows with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Here you will enjoy Inghams great choice of menus and complimentary quality wines for dinner. Inghams offer the conviviality of larger tables for chalet-style dining with your fellow guests, or the opportunity to dine à deux should you wish. The atmospheric lounge/bar welcomes you for your pre-dinner apéritif and canapés, or to relax after dinner over coffee and a night-cap ... more   less
