This hotel is well-situated, with views of the river or glacier from many rooms. The rooms are small, with little room to move. Bathrooms are also small, with nothing to keep the shower water from getting on the floor. It is easy to get bruised failing to avoid sharp corners in these small rooms. Mostly the staff is helpful. I... More

We stayed here on the first and last night of our Mont Blanc challenge. The hotel was clean and tidy if not a little quaint. The rooms were ample and well apportioned even with all our climbing gear. Breakfasts were plentiful, nourishing and tasty - the packed meals we received were also very good. Friendly staff, good location. A good... More

PROS: The hotel is well located, and our "deluxe" room had view of Mont Blanc. Breakfast was plentiful with large assortment, providing typical European style as well as scrambled eggs & bacon. CONS: Very small room - I could barely squeeze between the desk and end of the bed, and there was only about 12" between the mattress and side... More

This hotel is in a great location, and is a very good value, considering the prices in Chamonix, but breakfast isn't the greatest. Right in the middle of town. The staff is very friendly, including the little dog who lives in the lobby. Recommended.

We stayed two nights and had a first floor standard room with two twin beds that faced the street and had no balcony, which was okay except for some late night noise from the café next door below and people walking around on the street (we opened the window at night). The room was small but adequate and there was... More

I've stayed here for 3 nights after we finished the TMB. The staff were very nice and kind. The rooms are at the small side, also the bathroom. On the other hand, there is a balcony. The breakfast was good and tasty, a lot of options. The location of this hotel is very convenient. I was surprised they let us... More

The people at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. They have a resident dog that sits at the front desk and greets people! The hotel is literally in the middle of Chamonix - you can walk to all restaurants and to the lift for Aiguille du Midi. The breakfast was really good - a great start if you are... More

This is a very nice, small hotel well located in Chamonix. I didn't give it five stars because the rooms are so small; I know that French hotel rooms are typically small but . . . Our room on the river side was great; the only noise we heard was the flowing river; great for sleeping. Breakfast options were fine... More

Small, family run hotel in the centre of Chamonix. I have been coming to Chamonix on a guys skiing trip for the last 10 years and this has become our current favourite. We've stayed here for the last 3 years and plan to return. Rooms a little small , but adequate . Ski room for equipment as you would expect... More

We stayed at Hotel Gourmets et Italy for four nights over February half term. Having visited Chamonix for many years I am so glad I have now found this hotel and would love to return in the future. The staff are amazing and so helpful, I originally booked the wrong dates, but with one phone call this was all sorted!... More
