During our fall France trip my wife and I stayed at the Hotel Mercure Grenoble Centre President. We really enjoyed our room with a view of the mountains. The staff was excellent at helping us explore Grenoble and the region.
Visit this hotel regularly. Nice privilege rooms, great size and nice extra's, coffee, tea, biscuits and mini bar free of charge. Reception staff very professional. Breakfast is excellent, lot's of choice and great quality.
