Just returned from an 8 night stay at this campsite on the shore of Lake Annecy and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The location is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and with fantastic views (and direct access to) the lake. It is 10mins walk from Talloires where there are bakeries, a small supermarket and restaurants. The facilities are excellent. Toilets and...

We've stayed for the week and really enjoyed the site and facilities. The showers were very clean and in good order and the pitches were reasonably sized. The location was perfect for swimming in the lake as its on the doorstep and the lake area in high season wasn't too crowded making it ideal for keeping an eye on the...

We were here for the end of June/start of July and really enjoyed it. The campsite is not one of those with a pool, water slide, kids club, etc . . . but that wasn't a problem for us and the kids. We picked it because it has direct access to the lake, which is relatively rare among the various...

I brought my husband here the last week in August for 2 weeks. We stayed in our tent (my husband's first camping experience). My parents and some of their friends were in the cabins on the other part of the site. Our toilets and showers were clean and tidy. The water was lovely and hot and also quite powerful. The...

We as a family of 4 with 2 toddlers staying in one of the cabins, this was perfect. We had the cabin which was closest to the lake/beach area. Think this was pure luck but now we know about it we will definately ask for this cabin again. From where we sat on our decking we could see the lake...

Annecy is a stunning area- lakes and mountains everywhere you turn. This campsite has a great location, right on the lakeside. However, we went during the busiest season and you could hear a very loud huge party right next to the campsite on the Saturday night which didn't finish till the early hours of the morning. Pitches are also very...

We stayed on this site for 9 nights at the end of July with our two sons age 14 and 17. The facilities are clean and the site is tidy. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a small snack bar where you can get ice creams, snacks and drinks and you can order bread and croissants...

It is apparently under new management as of 2013 the couple running it were courteous and friendly as were all the other staff. The site has great access to the Lake and the camping pitch was generous, nice shade from the trees and hedges seperating them. The facilities, whilst not extensive were adaquate but most importantly clean and well finished....

We stayed in a cabin on this site, by the side of Lake Annecy, because we had a family wedding in the adjacent L'Abri Cotier restaurant (see review by us). We thought the accommodation was very good, for what we required, and the young couple who ran the site (they were using the next door cabin to us with their...

Just finished a very pleasant five night stay at Camping La Chapelle Saint-Claude. The first thing to note is the amazing views everywhere you turn. You have mountains all around you, and the 'beach' (patch of private grassland backing directly onto the lake) just a stone's throw away. We stayed in a tent and our pitch was fine, although a...

“As with most caravans, cabins or tents choose one with 2 more spaces more than you need eg. choose a 6-berth cabin for 4 people. Also, the cabins with an en-suite bedroom actually only has a shower & wash basin in it so you still only have 1 toilet. Not a problem for most.”
