Boutique style hotel in a great location in the center of town, walk to slopes and all restaurants, bars, shops etc.
Staff is very accommodating and friendly with a concierge type front desk.
We especially like the guys in the ski shop, Dillion and Will (Eng sp). The shop was professional and really took great care with us. They fitted with boots and skis and brought various items over from their larger sister shop for us to try.
We used the complimentary driver a couple times to get to various restaurants when it was bad weather. Service was fast for both drop off and pick up.
We found the hotel to be extremely clean. Housekeeping came in twice a day and did a great job on our room. The floors are stone, not carpet, so the room felt really clean. Our room was large, with a balcony and the bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge with large bottles of water, both still and sparkling, restocked at no charge each evening. Our room also had a nespresso coffee machine with pods, etc and a large bath and separate shower. The rooms are a bit on the dark side and even with the all the lights on it was difficult to see things in the closet, etc.
The one negative about the hotel is that we found it to be really warm at night when we were trying to sleep. If we opened the doors we got a lot of street noise, esp at 2am when the clubs let out. The front desk wasn’t able to help alleviate the overheating.
Breakfast buffet was excellent with great service - quick and friendly. The food was surprisingly good with made to order eggs and omelets.
Bar and restaurant were cool looking but not great energy as empty most of the time. It’d be great to have some kind of draw, here, good food, etc, to make it fun to hang out.
Spa was really nice with multiple tubs and saunas in addition to pool.

This modern hotel in the main road has everything you need for an enjoyable ski holiday . Ski hire , boot room and a 3 minute shuttle bus to the slopes very close by ) . A spa , ample size pool , 2 hammans , 2 hot tubs and 2 saunas It’s value for money compared to other , older , more traditional 5 star hotels . The decor is a little bland and the dining area fairly basic . I’m not sure if I would rate the hotel 5 star or 4 . The rooms have everything and good size bathroom ( Tv in bathroom , we didn’t use ). Nespresso machine was in room , slipper , robes etc . And high end l’0ccitane amenities.
But the thing that made our stay so special , was the staff . The dining staff were so friendly and eager to please as was everyone . They have a large bar there and the bar tender could make any cocktail we asked for , perfectly . We looked forward to our evening drinks after ski ing .After the first day, the staff remembers you and can’t do enough to please .
Despite lacking the normal sophistication of a 5 star hotel in same area, I actually found it much more relaxed and walking to breakfast in slippers and ski pants , was quite normal . The price ( always high in ski areas ) was definitely more reasonable compared to 5 star hotel nearby .

Usually stay in a Chalet when skiing in Val d'isere but with 4 in our group opted for a hotel. The Avenue Lodge turned out to be the perfect venue. Rooms slightly larger than normal for the resort. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Breakfast more than enough calories on offer for a day on the slopes. Some great restaurant recommendations for the evening and ski passes/rental hire all managed efficiently within the hotel.
Would highly recommend staying here before it gets too popular.

Enjoyed an excellent one week stay. Bedroom was very comfortable and well fitted out though rather noisy from the high street at night with the window open. Very nice atmosphere around the hotel and excellent service from very willing and helpful staff including the concierge who drove us to restaurants and the ski team in the in-house rental. Everything was extremely efficient and we ate twice in the restaurant where the food was first class.

This smart hotel is in the Main Street and a short walk to the lifts. The rooms are a reasonable size for France, but small by Austrian standards. The pool area is also small but nicely done with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and pool.
The food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent with a friendly team of servers who made us feel welcome. Wine list is pricey but a few good choices around €40.
There is a ski shop downstairs with really good up to date equipment and helpful staff. Book online via ski set for good discounts.

We had a very lovely stay at the Avenue Lodge hotel. From the moment we arrived, every need was taken care of, from parking our car, taking our luggage to the room, organising our skis and lift passes as well as booking all of our restaurants. The staff were very friendly and had some great recommendations for places to go in the village. The spa was also really nice and exactly how shown in the pictures. The bed is extremely comfortable and exactly what we needed after a day out skiing.

The hotel very accurately matches its on line description. Great position for bot village, buses and the slopes. Discrete but outstanding service from all staff. Rooms are excellently presented and well equipped. The bathroom radiator took some comprehension. The bar is comfy and relaxed, breakfast is simply excellent. Boot and ski facilities on site are good and the staff very helpful. My only critique would be that the warm air in the dryer cabinet should be turned on again around 7:30 so boots are warm when collected it makes them just that bit easier to get into. Mountain view of La Face was wonderful from 509. The downside of a upper floor was the room being quite warm and opening the window did allow in some noise from the early AM revellers at Dicks Tea Bar nearby. Not an issue for us, but a light sleeper might be disturbed. The breakfast bag made up for our 5am departure was very good, and an example of the extra touches experienced throughout the week. This is not a cheap hotel by any means, but it certainly justifies its prices. We will certainly use it next time we come to Val d'Isere.

The location is very central and the service throughout the hotel was superb. Provision made for showers after checkout and skiing made the whole stay such that I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The bedrooms are of a very high quality and the beds very comfortable.

This is an excellent hotel. Modern, friendly and good service. 5 minute walk to the slopes with a dedicated boot/ski hire service in the basement, spa, small pool.

The bar is very spacious and glamorous, ideal for pre dinner drinks or a late night cap. Rooms and bathrooms are lovely, modern and comfortable. Free Wi-fi is reasonable too.

We will definitely return.

There is one downside which may be a problem to some and that’s the noise outside. It’s in the centre of the high street so you do hear drinkers walking back until 2/3am and then you here the work trucks and tractors with chains on going up and down the high street from 5am. This will be the same for most rooms in the other 5 star hotels on the main road - some do have rooms at the back. I found Earplugs solved the problem if you like to keep your window open, we did - the rooms are warm, not stifling or anything but nice to have a bit of fresh air.

Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday.
