Went for a three day ski break with my daughter. Remember it is three star fora reason and as a ski hotel to sleep shower and have breakfast it does the job. Everyone ( except the receptionist on check out day) were very helpful and obliging. They have a bar which although nicely decorated could benefit from some cakes and... More

Really surprised to find such quality of furniture and fittings. Refurbished in 2015 to very high standard. Garage. Breakfast excellent and restaurant needs booking during busy times as so popular. Staff are outstanding, some of the best ever found in hotels. 150 mts walk to ski.

Ok, I have given this hotel a 5. It's a five because of the proactive response from the owner. We were booked to stay 7 nights in March 2016, but we only managed 1 night. Unfortunately, they experienced a leak (not due to them but a neighbouring property) and we had to vacate our room. They were fully booked and... More

Great location central to slopes , restaurants and supermarkets. Friendly and helpful staff assisting us to make reservations at restaurants. Good breakfast, nice bar lounge area and clean renovated rooms. Great ski storage set up.

The Kandahar is well-situated for access to the slopes and is also conveniently located a midst shopping, bars and restaurants. The breakfast offered in the hotel each morning is good (no hot items but a good selection of cured meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, various breads and pastries with delicious jams and spreads, and yogurt) It is directly across the street... We booked the Kandahar half-board through Inghams because our first choice venue wasn't available, but to be honest that really turned out not to be an issue. The hotel is very conveniently located on the main road of the town, just a few minutes' walk from the main ski-lifts and close to plenty of bars, shops and restaurants. The reception... More

We stayed for a week with family and friends. Comfortable rooms, good beds, great bath and shore. Food excellent for half board - filling breakfasts, very appetising evening meal with good choice of 2 dishes for each course. The hotel has a great central location, near the main part of town

Largely for logistical reasons we booked an Inghams half board package to the Hotel Kandahar and its restaurant Alsace. Arrangements thru Inghams were pretty effortless ( had to book skis seperately ) and uneventful ( slight shambles on return to Geneva - coach driver appeared not to have been there before and rep on coach not much better - but... Hotel Kandahar helped me out of a spot when i needed a place to stay between chalets. While the hotel is traditionally styled, everything is actually new so its clean and beautifully appointed. It is right in the center of town, either a brisk 5 minute walk or a 30 second bus ride to the main lifts.

Thank David N
