The hotel is fine: comfortable, well appointed. As we had a junior suite, we got generous amenities: full size shower gel and shampoo from Hermes, gorgeous coffee table book souvenir of the chef , etc The rooms are rather small although the contemporary furniture and the terrasse (in season) make up for the lack of space. The bathroom is very spacious...

In celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary, we booked a stay at Maison Pic and dinner at the Pic Restaurant. From the moment we were greeted in the parking garage by a black suited staff member, we knew we were in for a seriously sophisticated 18 hours. All staff members are extremely well trained and cooly serious about their roles,...

We stopped at this hotel on our way from Lyons to Nice. We've stayed at Relais et Chateaux properties before; for us, they are a special treat rather than an expectation and Maison Pic did not disappoint. We were upgraded (not certain why) to a room with a balcony that overlooked the lush, green courtyard. The decor of the room...

We stayed for one night on vacation while driving from Lyon through the Côte Rotie, Hermitage, and Cornas wine regions. The hotel is easy to find right on Victor Hugo south of central Valence. We had a second floor room with a balcony that was over the interior courtyard. Rooms are modern, but the w.c. in our room was separated...

We stayed at the hotel overnight , on our way to Italy . We chose a chambre deluxe , which was spacious and very comfortable . The room had lots of light , the bathroom was as clean as can be. We had been a fan since the first moment we entered. Staff is polite and correct. Then there is...

We recently stayed two nights at Maison Pic to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our lunch in the Michelin three star restaurant was in every respect a fantastic dining experience. The bistro lunch was nothing special, wouldn't go back to it. Unfortunately, the "superior" hotel room (€350 per night, room #17) was far from superior. Environment and service in public areas...

Needing a stop over after a journey from Beaune en route to the south, Maison Pic seemed a sensible choice...it wasn't! The whole place is pure theatre, the food taking centre stage and the waiting staff performing their lines as they, in grand unison placed their dishes in front of us. That was the only rapport they had with us....

After a day of tasting at and climbing Hermitage we got into Valence in the late afternoon. The area around the hotel is nothing special. But once we entered it was a world unto its own. We just showed up, got an upgrade and everything was taken care of for us. We had our own elevator to our room. The...

The Restaurant is definitely worth the 3 stars and the staff are very polite and helpful. Hotel needs a bit of work and the garden is not well maintained. Swimming pool too cold even in the summer. Definitely worth a visit for the great food at the gastronomic restaurant.

My husband and I stayed three nights in a superior double room. The room was a nice size, and comfortable. Our balcony gave us a view of the kitchens, which were interesting to watch. The manager was very helpful in confirming restaurants we had booked for later during our vacation. The hotel staff set up a few winery visits for...
