Myself, wife and 11 year old son stopped in Freudenstadt on our way between a visit to Burg hohenzollern and Strasbourg. The hotel is located on a main road. Our family room overlooked the road, and whilst the traffic noise didnt affect us badly during March, it may during high summer months when you want the windows open. However, our...

The hotel is central, on a main road, two minutes from the marketplace. Some from our motorcycle group had to cancel at the last minute, abd despite the hotel being perfectly within its rights to demand 80% of the booked room rate, they only charged us for the rooms we actually used. Very accomodating. The rooms are clean, airy, comfortable...

Stayed here for one night. Room large and very clean. A nice warm welcome from the lady. Had dinner that night . Food good and the waiter was friendly and chatty. The breakfast was a little disappointing particularly the fresh fruit . However would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights while traveling through Germany. It is a very quaint hotel. The staff and is very friendly and it's in a great location to walk to the Marketplace. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a very walkable place. I will tell you that they lock the doors for certain hours of the...

Arrived at this rather dreary hotel in the pouring rain only to find that it was shut with a note on the door to ring a bell 'around the back'. The bell was answered by, I can only assume the manager/owner, and he didn't seem to be exactly welcoming. There is no lift (it's an old building) and the staircases...

A friendly welcome and a comfortable room, if slightly on the small side. But it was the buffet breakfast that really won us over - easily the best we had on our Black Forest tour. Lovely fresh berries and breads.

We were redirected to this hotel as our original hotel was undergoing renovations and a room was not available. We could not have had a better experience at this replacement hotel. A helpful and friendly member of staff showed us to our large and comfortable double room. As we were only staying one night on our way home from Switzerland...

Up steep stairs to an average bedroom, clean and comfortable and well serviced. The restaurant, applauded in the Lonely Planet was more expensive than others nearby so we only ate breakfast there. A real downside was the parking, it is advertised as free public parking, no reservation required, but it is really find a space on a nearby street or...

Stayed for 3 nights on a motorcycle trip to the Black Forest at the end of May, firstly Freudenstadt is a great, very picturesque, little town with plenty of cafes and a few bars to see us through the trip. The town is in a great location at the base of the B500 from Baden Baden for some great riding...

Very traditional hotel a couple of blocks away from Germany's largest market square. Hotel restaurant seemed lovely but we were only there for one night so headed out for food (at the excellent Tuermbraeu brewpub on the market square). Very comfortable room with modern (shower-only) bathroom) and an excellent breakfast in the morning with eggs made to order (as per...
