Not often you see such a contrast in one hotel. A new extension has been added & opened in April 2016. We were lucky enough to get off of the new rooms (although some will like older style). Seriously cutting edge room with every thing except AC. However, so many of the doors opening, it was very cool. Lovely owners...

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner Beate who was friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. She was dressed in traditional dress which was a nice touch. After checking us in Beate gave us a brief tour of the hotel before showing us to our room which had a real "wow" factor. The standard to which...

What a find. If you are looking for a base to explore the Black Forest, this is a lovely hotel, less than 5 min from the center and beautiful market square of Freudenstadt. Wish we'd had more time here. The hotel has been refurbished and much thought has gone into comfort for guests. There is a great TV room with...

We have visited this hotel many times over the years and have always been very happy with the accommodation and service. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and always spotless. Many have balconies. The hotel has just been partially rebuilt and modernised to a very high standard. It now features a new reception, lift, two lounges and additional space...

Last minute booking whilst travelling. Absolutely excellent from our arrival by the owners booking us in and explaining the keys, etc., to enter the back door when hotel door closed. We were shown to the room and all stair cases, etc., were spotless. Our room was on the top floor and very spacious. Nice beds, furniture, sofa - and the...

This was our second visit to this charming hotel in Freudenstadt and the northern part of the Schwarzwald. The owners Armin and Beate are lovely hosts and went out of their way to make our stay most enjoyable. They were extremely helpful and made us feel at home. We found the rooms spacious, clean and very comfortable. The food in...

I haven't seen orange shag-pile carpets, bedding or table-cloths since 1974. Despite this, it was a great hotel. A few minutes walk from the square. The room was spacious and spotless. The breakfast was...err. German. The hosts, Armin and his wife are lovely, their English is impeccable (very useful, in my case). The hotel serves lovely evening meals too. We...

We arrived in Freudenstadt in late afternoon without a hotel room...not our normal practice. The visitor center was helpful, but the two other hotels (just outside of F.) were not acceptable. We came back into town and found Adler Hotel. Although it is fairly near the railway station, it was very welcoming, and very quiet. A delicious dinner and good...

Had a very clean room looking out the front of the hotel which got good sun in the morning. Next door was a room with TV, game console, books and beer, wine and coffee available on the honor system. Heard no noise from this room in the evening despite some guests playing video games there. Only stayed one night but...

We booked at this hotel after reading reviews on TA. The hotel is on top of a restaurant and you walk into the restaurant to checkin - this is common in Germany. After checking in we were led to our room through the back staircase. As the kitchen is nearby, the smells of fried food permeated the stairwell right up...
