When planning vacations, I like to leave a potion (4 or 5 days) fluid and flexible, so that we don'r feel as if we are entirely on a schedule. This allows for pleasant surprises, and that is what we got staying at the Kuckucknest in Triberg. A last minute decision to visit the black forest before our next reservation meant...

We stayed for 2 nights in August. Mr & Mrs Burger are extremely friendly & helpful. The accommodation is spotlessly clean & the kitchen facilities are great. No wifi in the guesthouse which is not a real problem as we had very strong phone signal in the area. A great little guest house in a beautiful part of the Black...

If you like pine, you'll love the Kuckucknest because the walls, floor, ceiling and furniture are all made from this wood. The pine is a bit monotonous and the rooms are somewhat claustrophobic because they're downright small; the bathroom door wouldn't open completely because it hit the bed. (See photo.) All in all, though, the view was delightful, the common...

My husband, daughter and son-in-law stayed at the Kukucknest for one night. Out of our entire vacation, which included seven different hotels, this was one of my favorite nights. I had planned in advance to buy a cuckoo clock in Triburg, and was thrilled to find out that we could stay in a room above a clock shop. The rooms...

The Kuckucknest Guest rooms and the the clock store are worth the visit. The rooms are clean, cozy and right next to Germany's highest waterfalls. Triberg is a great town and gateway to much of the Black Forest. The clock store is first rate, as are the rooms. Will be the best value you find in the Triberg area.

Stopped here on a biking tour through the Black Forest, and were more than happy with our accommodation. Had somewhere safe to lock up the bikes, a nice big room and very central location. What more could you ask for?

We stayed at the Kuckucknest for 5 nights mid September 2012 in two rooms at a very reasonable price. The rooms were large and comfortable with a lovely view onto the town. The bathroom although small was functional and all very clean. There is a dining table and a couple of easy chairs where you can relax, have breakfast, make...

The room at Kuckucknest was basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The only other place which I've been to with such spotlessly clean rooms is Japan, so the accommodation is of very high quality. Wireless internet comes free with the room and was very reliable. The toilet/wash area was again, like Japanese accommodations, small, but very clean and cosy. Furnishings...
