Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in a Junior suite in the ‘Villa’ 2 nights between Xmas and New Year. At check in we were told that the rooftop bar and restaurant were closed as the staff had worked for Xmas and they were going to work for New Year. For the same reason we were told that there was no room cleaning. How ever there was no reduction of the price and no information was provided in advance. We had a lot of luggage and it was rather far between the reception and the Junior suite but no help was offered. When we arrived in our room it felt like a sauna. The heating was on max and the temperature showed 40 degrees in the room. Not very climate friendly. The first morning we ordered breakfast in our room. We specifically ordered lots of coffee with hot milk and received one small cup each with cold milk. The bread was fluffy bake off bread and the cheese slices were ready made plastic slices with no taste. The musli for the yogurt was forgotten. This breakfast tray cost 44 euros for 2 persons. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel the following morning. The Junior Suite is spacious as well as the bathroom but the bed was too hard for our taste.

Nice staff & great restaurant. It was a convenient location and an easy walk to the oldtown with lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. Love the terraces and coffee machine! Will stay here again for sure.

There are a few pluses and minuses here. First the positives: there is an elevator, the air conditioning is working well and is quiet, the mattress and bedding are comfortable, nice spacious bathroom, there is a tram stop nearby, beautiful rooftop terrace, large quiet room in the back of the building. Staff is friendly and helpful. The negatives: Rooms facing the busy road are noisy even with windows closed, the noise from the bar downstairs can also be heard with windows closed on the third floor. The breakfast buffet is just ok for the price. The lighting in the room is very dim, almost impossible to read with bedside lamp. Light switches on the bed are inconveniently placed and hard to reach. No locks/latches/chain on inside of door. No real fridge just a minibar. No coffee machine or water kettle! Overall not a bad place to stay but kind of far to walk to downtown.

Quick and friendly check in. The room was amazing, spotless and with a great view over the tramway. The breakfast is varied and delicious: their scrambled eggs are to die for! The bar is the best part of the hotel: super cozy with mood lighting and the best cocktails that are a must try. The bartenders are also very friendly and the staff speaks English.

Top parking access and great location. Within a few minutes from the tram. Hotel wise the bedrooms are confortable, clean and specious enough. Bathroom comes with the regular amenities and even more (earplugs for example). Breakfast is in point, great choice of sweet and savory. Bar serves great cocktails and the atmosphere feels pretty cozy!

Room wasn’t clean. Shower didn’t drain. Very expensive for the quality of the room. Weird lighting. Poor view. Cappuccino machine in hallway that doesn’t work. Bathtub was nice addition. Has lots of potential but I’m not sure they’ll do the work.

Again stayed in this Hotel for for a longer term. It is always a pleasure to be welcomed by the young, energetic and very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is 5 star! The restaurant, with ambient lighting in the evening and fantastic cuisine, always a delight! I will be back next year!

We had a lovely stay at the Qube Hotel Bergheim. The hotel is conveniently located ~10 mins from the train station, and a lovely 25 minute walk from the Alstadt (their is also a tram, but we did not use it). Our room faced the interior courtyard and was very quiet, and the room was modern and clean. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and all of the staff very friendly and helpful. If we return to Heidelberg, we will definitely consider returning to the Qube Hotel Bergheim.
