The rooms are spacious and very modern, and very clean. Staff are very helpful. The restaurant served very good food for dinner, unusual for a hotel restaurant. Onsite parking in the hotel basement, so easy to get bags from cargo room. Tram stop is located about 100 metres down the road.

Location was perfect - right in the center of town. We spent the afternoon walking in town, returned to a very comfortable room and bed, had a great breakfast the next day (worth the 6 Euros per person). Parking was 10 Euros for the night, in a clean and well lit garage below ground.

Well, the Germans really know how to do things. I have stayed at the Hotel Rio three times, and each visit has been most enjoyable. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Karlsruhe. The hotel is located on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood with many shops and restaurants close by. Tram stops are nearby and it is very... More

Inhad the opportunity to stay in this hotel for 3 nights, and it was by far the best decision. The rooms are small i would say, you get only a one person bed, but it was clean and comfy. The location is good, you are close to the city center and to the tram station (for the moment they are... More

This is a great place to stay in a quiet area. The rooms are standard rooms but clean and big. The bathroom is nice and spacious. I must say that the best thing the hotel had is the buffet breakfast, it has all you need :) By the way, watch out for the busy elevators which take forever to catch.

Hotel Rio is amazingly quiet and hidden from the outside yet it has a warm heart inside. Coming from Africa I find a home from home, I am comfortable. The only snag is the small beds found in most rooms

A new hotel, well priced, comfortable and efficient. Stayed at the Hotel Rio on a Thursday evening. Easy check in with friendly staff. If you are staying on the first or second floor, the stairs are quicker than the lift!! The rooms are modest but have everything you may need. I stayed in a single bed room which was fine.... More

The personnel are very friendly. Beneath the hotel is a parking place. The rooms offer everything you need included safe, minibar and free Wi-Fi but are rather old. Breakfast is OK. The location is fine.
