Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous hotel. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. Olde world charm personified. Breakfast is great. Choice of continental and hot foods. Location is fantastic, steps away from the S bahn and shops. Paul on front desk was so helpful and responsive.

Very bad experience that made my visit to stuttgart horrible. At first they gave me a “room” with renovations right in front my doorstep, and when i asked to change the room their answer was we’re full for the weekend. After i insisted they gave me a different category room the NEXT day, the surprise was that when i reached my room at night the air conditioner was out of service and the only answer i got was “there’s no technician at this moment”. Until now I’m living the worst experience I’ve ever lived in hotels. Hope my stay in this hotel ends very soon.

The location of the hotel is ideal for a visit to Stuttgart. Directly in the center of the city with private parking. The newly renovated room in the 4th floor provides all amenities someone expects in a class hotel. A large bathroom with great shower and a very comfortable bed which guarantees a good rest. We were however most impressed by the friendliness of all staff we met. They seem to enjoy their work and try to assist wherever needed. The welcome was true and honest, Unfortunately the lift was o.o.o. but no problem, the luggage was brought to the room without asking for it. The breakfast buffet featured everything that is expected.

Wonderful experience in the heart of Stuttgart. With professional and friendly staff, stylish classy interiors, and an exquisite Wienerschnitzel served in the restaurant (I lived for a few years in Vienna, so I don’t mean German standards for the Schnitzel). Pay them a visit, it’s definitely worth it! Thank you ❤️

We stayed at Hotel Royal for one Weekend. The overall experience was very good! The Hotel is centrally located right at the edge of the most vibrant shopping street in Stuttgart. However, there was no noise or whatsoever, we had a very calm night. :-) Our room was decent in size, newly renovated and - most importantly - very clean and pretty neat (nothing was worn out). The hotel is family-run and that is something that we noticed as customers throughout our stay: The staff was very friendly, dedicated, and accommodating but also very efficient. A great experience and a classical example of German hospitality. The stay was during the Covid-Pandemic. We felt safe all the time as all hygiene measures were in place. We would definitely recommend the Hotel both for business trips as well as leisure city trips.

Stayed here for one night whilst in Stuttgart with work. Check in was friendly and efficient. Rooms are like something from the 70's! I couldn't work out if this was because they had been done like that (like a retro feel) or if they were actually done in the 70's and hadn't been updated! Anyway my room was spot on, twin beds, a separate lounge area and big family sized bathroom. Only thing I would say is that the light switches are hard to find as they blend in with the walls. I didn't have breakfast the next day but some did and said it was good.

The hotel for Christmas markets is ideal, but the rooms are very basic and spartan. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. We were disappointed as what we were expecting based on description of hotel is not what we received.

Great hotel with rooms fully renovated, the breakfast is abundant and friendly staff. Highly recommended also for its location, situated at a stone’s throw of Stuttgart’s main shopping area, a secured parking is also provided by the hotel. Everything was perfect in this family owned resort

This hotel is located in an excellent spot close to the main shopping street, walking distance from restaurant area Calwer Str and also an metro station. The main areas of the hotell feels quite old with outworn carpets and dark material. However, we had an comfort room with good size and it must have been refurbished resently, frech bathroom and parquet floors. (we understood that not all rooms have yet been renovated) Breakfast was with a wide variety of food and service overall friendly and quick.
