We stayed one week at Knöpfle’s Ferienwohnungen. An excellent place with very good service.
The view from the apartment is great and the flat has all needed equipment. Good space and convenient for all activities.
For sure we will use Knöpfle next time.

My 10-month old son, my wife, and I stayed here for 8 days while I attended the NATO School. Firstly, the apartment was meticulously well-maintained and stocked. Besides the two bedrooms, kitchen, and living room, renters also have access to an individual garage to park their car (you will appreciate this in the winter)!

This apartment was also full of "small things" that one might normally not think of such as: DVD player that accepts all regions, SD cards, and flashdrives (bring all your movies), coffee AND espresso maker in the kitchen, fully stocked kitchen (including plenty of soap for the dishwasher), and even a CD player/radio for the kitchen/dining area. My wife so loved their diningware (WMF brand) that she is thinking about replacing our diningware at home with the same!

From September until now (late November), we have stayed in over 20 hotels while traveling throughout Europe (including some true 5-star hotels such as the Hotel Grand Bretagne in Athens) and nowhere were we as happy and satisfied with the accomodations as here. Although you lose the typical hotel things (room service, free shoe shines, and such) you actually gain here. We chose Apt 4, which is 70 m2 and has two bedrooms. Located on the first floor (second floor for Americans), there is a short stairway to the apartment. You CAN order room-service breakfast every morning if you wish for only 5,50 Euro (as of NOV08). Breakfast is comparable to anything you'll find in town and much more convenient... and cheaper. Internet is Wi-Fi and costs only 5 Euro for the entire stay.

The only real negatives were storage of the stroller and the comforter/bed setup. Since I spent most of my days in class, my wife elected to leave the stroller downstairs (in the garage) so as to not have to carry it up and down the stairs. Not a problem three seasons out of four but inconvenient in the winter when the strolller becomes quite cold.

As fr the beds/cmforter, they were quite comfortable but there was a small (emphasis on small) issue with the size of the comfrters. As is normal in Europe, the "master" bed consisted of two twins side-by-side. However, the owners added to that by using twin comforters, side-by-side as well instead of one large comforter. Slightly inconvenient for husband and wife when you want to get your snuggle on and comforters are coming off during the night. It actually encourages separate sleeping, which is probably just fine for some.

If we return to Oberammergau, we will be staying here (recommended to us by Penny Neu who runs the Neu Gastehaus as well).

After having stayed in a hotel with very tradional Bavarian interior I booked two stays in Haus in Alpinisso. Upon arriving for the first time I was very happy I already booked the second time.

The appartments in Alpinissimo are very modern and comfortable The view on the alps is simply wonderful. Included in the daily rate is de 'Konigscard' which gives daily free acces to the great Wellenberg pool and other facilities such as the Oberammergau gym.

Furthermore Alpinissomo has a small but scenic swimming pool, sauna and laundry facilities.

Great!

We stayed in Haus Alpinissimo during the holidays in 2011. Our apartment Edelweiss was the best we have ever booked. The apartment was spacious, modern, clean, comfortable and had a nice view over the village. The owner was very hospitable en helpful in a pleasant way, we have never felt more welcome than here. There is only one "disadvantage": It is very popular. So if you are considering booking an apartment in Haus Alpinissimo, act fast!

My girlfriend and I had a 12-day during stay at the Zirbennest Apartment. After a warm welcome by Christiane, we were impressed by the beauty and awesomeness of the apartment. Everything you can think about was in hand's reach...Nespresso coffee and fresh local bread as example.
Also the Konigscard which is included in a stay at Knopfle's Ferienwohnungen is a big plus! It will save you a lot of money for things like entree tickets to the swimming pool or use of the 'Bergbahn/Sesselbahn of the different mountains in the area of Oberammergau.

So, if you decide to come to Oberammergau, I'd recommend a stay at the wonderful Knopfle's Ferienwohnungen !!

Stayed there for a week as part of a business stay in the area. Got a referral to this place from a coworker that stayed there before - and I need to say excellent from the first moment on.

The apartment we booked was the one under the roof - Zirbennest. Everything is made out of very nice looking (and also very healthy feeling) wood - giving me some of the best sleep I had for quite some time.

The place comes with a bathtub that allows great views through a window , two balconies that surely especially in summer are most enjoyably, access to a sauna, a built in kitchen (with dishwasher), tv , wifi and even a garage spot (which probably is especially when it is snowing really appreciated).

We had a great week and especially with the foggy autumn winter spent quite some time in the Appartement.

As part of the stay we also got a free "Kaiser Card" giving you access to a wide range of tourist attractions , lifts , rides and others in the wider area.

As this was a business focused stay , the only complaint is the wifi which was partially not working at all and if working really slow to the point that websites didn't even load.

Would I stay again? For holiday and recreation - I would probably not hesitate just a second. For business - the internet quality might make me reconsider.

I spent one week in one of these apartments. People were very friendly and helpfull. The appartment was big enough, clean, WIFI was not the best internet I have had, but do-able....Appartment is near the NATO school and only a few minutes walk from the small centre of Oberammergau. Going back thereas soon as if I have the chance!

This place is GREAT! I loved everything about it. The owners are super nice and polite (their English is flawless). The accommodations are perfect ... super clean and neat. They also include the use of a secure car garage. The wi-fi was free and fast (although it did slow down a little when everyone was home in the evening). The apartments are very close to the NATO school (which worked great for me), but a little bit of a walk to downtown (about 15 minutes; but I had a car so it was no problem).
I cannot say enough nice things about this place. I stayed at another Ferienwohnung on a prior visit to Oberammergau and this one was head over heels better (newer, cleaner, and nicer).
I will be back!
