Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Check in was a little gruff, but they were busy. The room was clean and tidy. Everything worked. The view from the balcony was divine. Buffet breakfast had marvellous choices with many fresh local choices.

This is not a full Gasthaus--no dinner restaurant, but it is a good hotel with nice rooms (good shower), nice staff, a very good breakfast (the eggs to order were awesome). Nothing very fancy (they do have spa amenities), but I would stay there again. It is not in the stadtmitte, but it is not too far of a walk. In fact, I preferred the half mile to/from dinner, tourism stuff.

Pension Enzianhof is not the cheapest place you could find, it is located approx. 10-15 minutes from the center of Oberammergau which is a gem of German alps. It is a beautiful building - painted like most of the others in the city, however lacks decent parking facilities - we were lucky enough to find the last stop behind the house. The interior is beautiful with rustic furniture and the rooms are clean and tidy. Plus - you get super comfy mattresses. Breakfasts are mostly home made or made of products bought in the surrounding region - hams, cheese etc. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were not however offered a discount card during our stay (maybe it was just because it was only one night - but still...). Lacks a free wi-fi! For the price we paid - that was not enough.

Stayed 4 nights here and hotel was good. Room and bathroom were spacious. Breakfast was good. Ideally located as 10 mins walk to town centre. Car parking on site but think you could just park on the road anyway if need be. Came with the local guest card which gave free buses and other thinks like the cable car.

My wife and I stayed here on a three night trip to Oberammergau. It is a fifteen minute walk from the centre of the village. We had a lovely large room on the ground floor with a good-sized shower room. The room was tastefully decorated with comfortable beds, duvets and pillows. There is a large walk-in shower. Breakfast was excellent -buffet style and a choice of eggs. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Good for a one night stop in Oberammergau on our road trip. Nice large room, good beds, breakfast was very nice. Bathroom good size, small shower.
TV sound was very low and we could not increase the volume. Overall a very nice room.

We wanted to be in that lovely village, so we ordered that hotel, which had two available rooms. However, we found it quite expensive for the services given to us, and concluded that the price is suited for people who come for spa treatments, which is fine. We came for touring purposes alone. We loved the manner in which the staff dealt with our needs. Notable is the large balcony.

6 nights there in Sept 12. Nice clean and large room although shower a bit reluctant to give any hot water. Breakfast very nice but same each day so can get repetitive after 6 mornings there! Internet a bonus although a bit variable and goes off at night and not on again until 7am which is a real pain. All in all a very nice guest house and very good value indeed.

Just what we needed for a one night stop. Clean comfortable room. Not spacious but adequate. Shower room was good. Typical continental style breakfast. Happy to cook eggs however you like them. Slightly limited on choice but enough to start the day.

Stayed here for five nights and the place is clean, quiet and comfortable. Excellent bathroom which looked new, with an excellent shower. Breakfast was nice with fantastic cheese and eggs! The lady who was running the place was very helpful. Only 5 mins walk, if even that, from the town centre. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Recommended.
