Our room was cozy and spacious. The breakfast was delicious! The staff was very efficient and courteous. All spoke English well. The free parking was a plus! WiFi was good. We had a downstairs room which was perfect for traveling with a little one. It was great to have our own bedroom too! Great rate for the amenities. My only complaint was the cigarette smoke from the people who smoked outside the window. Not the hotels fault at all though so I wouldn’t want it to taint their review. 👍🏻👍🏻

We visited this hotel as part of a motorcycle group touring Europe and were impressed from the start by the friendliness of the well organised staff and the lovely comfortable rooms.
Right in the heart of Oberammergau, this hotel has private balconies, a communal terrace and loads of charm.
The views of the mountains from the terrace are stunning and the town centre is but a short walk away.
Highly recommended

Stayed for a couple of nights at the end of the year.
Hotel was easy to find and we could always find a parking place, not right next to it, but close enough.
A front desk lady seems to be friendly, and the room we had( a king bed room) was clean, but the bathroom was very small and we could not really get very hot water in shower.
There is no elevator, so taking heavy luggage’s upstairs was not very fun.
Best part of this hotel was the free breakfast.
Overall, it is not bad for the price, but not for a longer stay more than a couple of nights.

We stayed here for four days during Christmas break. The hotel was spotless, everything was comfy, and all the staff so friendly. It was my first time to use the small, European stall type shower, but the one's here were larger than many of the other places I've since stayed in Germany. The included breakfast really adds to the value of a stay here, with everything from fresh breads, with every kind of spread, delicious scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, a huge selection of cheese, cereals, yogurt, and an espresso machine(!) and much more. It is walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and bars, and is a somewhat short but very scenic drive to Neuschawnstein and Zugspitze.

I have been in and out of Oberammergau a dozen times with work and showing guests the sights. Hotel Kopa is a very good choice in the town, because the rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast is probably the best I've had in Oberammergau. The owners could not be more welcoming. It is located right in town, center, center. The hotel's only drawback, not for me, but for some is the lack of cozy Bavarian decor and the hotel is a rather austere building. It's interior can be described as mixed up Parisian kitsch with a touch of what were they thinking putting that on the walls. The rooms are well done, updated, with nice WCs. A winner!

The room was very clean and updated with a nice view out the window. The check-in lady was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast was awesome with a huge selection, overnight free parking was a nice bonus, fast WiFi was appreciated, and a very scenic village to stroll through after dinner topped it off for an excellent experience. Absolutely no complaints. Would I stay there again? Yes!

I stayed here for 5 nights. Central to the stunningly beautiful village of Oberammergau. Functional, scrupulously clean. Does not cater for supper but there are abundant traditional Bavarian restaurants just round the corner. Breakfast is great!

Stayed 2 nights in Oberammergau, to attend 'the play' on September 23rd 2010. Arrived on Wednesday 22nd Septermber 2010. Staff very attentive and carried bags from coach to our rooms for us (and also back to the coach from our rooms on departure). Most of the staff speak excellent English and the overall level and quality of service just cannot be faulted.
----
The hotel is now called the Hotel Kopa; but was previously the Bayerischer Loewe.
----
Things you may want to know about, include:
1. There is no lift in the hotel, so getting to rooms means climbing at least one or two sets of stairs. Both sets of stairs are quite steep.
2. Location is very central within Oberammergau and is about a 5 minute walk from the theatre (for the passion play).
3. The rooms I saw (2) were both very good; flat screen TV, shower, WC; beds very comfortable ... limited storage (one wardrobe), but for our purposes, perfectly adequate.
4. We had to check-out of our room by 9am ... which is quite prompt by most standards; however, it was still possible to enjoy breakfast through to 10am.
5. Hotel provide kettle and tea/coffee/snacks on 1st floor (next to the veranda) charges apply; 1 euro, for tea/coffee ... and a basket to leave payment, so trust you to be honest.
---
In closing, I do want to enthuse about the staff.
Unfortunately, during our 2 day stay; quite a number of our party were stricken by a bug causing fairly serious diarrhoea and vomiting (note, our party of 42 were staying in several accommodations in Oberammergau,so no particular hotel could've caused the this. It definitely appears to have been something that was 'going around').
One of those that was affected by the bug was my 14 year old daughter.
All of the staff were extremely helpful and very kind. (Particularly Paitra, not sure that I've got the spelling correct there, but she was just fantastic!). Even the restaurant staff asked about my daughter, and wanted to do anything they could.
Basically very genuine and kind people.
