Requested for mountain view and it was given to us, much appreciated for the arrangement. The room is clean and there is a balcony with chairs for us to chill. However the bed is a little bit small. There is a spring water tap in the room where you can just turn it on and drink. The heated pool is amazing but it was raining during my stay hence the sky is kinda cloudy which we did not manage to catch the clear mountain view. Would definitely recommend friends to stay here and will come back again.

We stayed here for 2 overnights as great weekend gate away. First of all location is really nice within the Center of Garmisch-Partenkirchen Israels, great underground parking & lovely check in.

Hotel overall is very cozy & warm with a lot of wood & lovely interior design. Great touch was the natural drinking water provided, really nice set up & guest friendly touch.
The spa & pool area are not that big but quality is great. Breakfast was of good quality, friendly service ladies, the Brrakfast chef(Patricia) has been very inviting, eggs dishes where made to order & tasty as well, however we felt choice could have been better.
We had 2 dinners at the hotel which was great quality we have been confused with menu names however have been explained the idea behind. Our last day we had kind of brunch which was more over a breakfast with some lunch options, we have met the head Chef, young talented guy which is well traveled (David if not mistaken) which showed us around the brunch itself, we have told him that we know Brunch way larger which he agreed on & mentioned that the concept will change in the near future same as some of the culinary concepts since the hotel plans to Re structure some of those areas, his English was great which got us various answers.

Overall lovely boutique hotel sure quite pricey but you definitely get what you pay for.

We will back in 2021 for sure..!!!

Beautiful Accommodation. We stayed in the my son. There is a separate room for him and its such a cozy, lovely room. He loved it.

The room was facing the park and the view is amazing as well. It is so relaxing. Just sitting there to enjoy the view. Wonderful large bathtub. great shower facilities. They provided drinks and apples in the room.

Best part is the spring water from the tap. So cool!

The swimming pool is heated and we swam in the winter. You can see the snow capped mountains from there. They only allow kids in the mornings. It will be adults only in the afternoons.

They have several saunas as well. Not suited for younger kids.

There is a ski rental area in the basement carpark as well as a locker room to keep your skis. However, this place is not near the ski slopes. Hence, we had to take a taxi in the morning to get to the ski lifts. It is best to drive. It would be extremely convenient to put the ski into the car and just a short 5 mins drive to the ski lifts.

The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because when we check in, they did not inform us of what the hotel has and what is being provided for. We did not even know about the spring water from the tap until day 3. We had to go hunting for the pool. Not really sure how the saunas work. They have some workout sessions but we didn't know of it as well. No schedule around the room. I think it is somewhat due to a language barrier.

Would be great if there is someone to give us a mini tour when we check in.

Given the wonderful facilities that they have and the amazing rooms, the additional service would have led to it being a 6 star hotel.

Highly recommended!

Truly disappointed on how we were treated during our 3 day stay at the hotel. We wanted to have dinner at their restaurant but was warned by the male waiter that food will take a long time due to them being full and the load they were having. He reluctantly gave us the menu (it was so obvious from his face that he was unwilling to accept more tables) when we said it was ok. But when we looked around, there were several empty tables!! The restaurant wasn’t even operating on a full house capacity but drove away their own guests. Also, he commented that pets are not allowed in the restaurant where we had breakfast at the same area with no problems.

We also didn’t have a pleasant encounter with the SPA staff. We were told that there is a dress code for the hotel and to enter the SPA, with her condescending words that “street wear is not permitted”. The female staff looked at us and said that we were prohibited from viewing the SPA and pool area. We understand later that the spa is reserved for night spa but she could have delivered the message in a friendly tone and referred us back in the morning. Atrocious service delivery.

The rooms were nicely furnished but with this price point and service delivered, we do not recommend this hotel. The only saving grace is the young friendly receptionist at the counter when we arrived. Even he shared that there is no dress code in the hotel.

The hotel is very beautiful and modern. It gives trendy with cosy alpine look. It is located next to a beautiful big park. You walk through the park and you will get to the main shopping centre.

The spa is heavenly. There are different areas and overlooking the beautiful mountain, church or the park. It is very tastefully done and relaxing. The outdoor swimming pool is at the top of the hotel so one can faintly hear some traffic noise but it is very faintly and not disturbing. The view of the church and mountain is breathtaking from the swimming pool and spa area.

The room is spacious, beautiful and clean. The staff are polite and welcoming.

Food in the restaurant is exceptionally good and interesting. The price is right. We ended up going there all 6 nights. Breakfast is also very high standard and varied.

There is no air con and when we were there, it was 27c. Before we left for the day, we drew our curtains close and when we came back we opened the door widely. We didn't feel that it was stuffy. But if the weather is higher, I could see that one might need to ask for a fan.

Our room is facing the park and above the restaurant. One night several tables of guests stayed till 11 pm when it is closed. It was loud but 11 pm is fine by us and most of the time, it is very quiet.

The rooms facing the road might be a bit noisy in the high season as it is facing a 2 lane road but I could not tell how noisy it is because the road was not so busy when we were there.

All in all, we enjoyed this hotel very much and highly recommend it to all.

We were in a dilemma what to do , we visited garmisch supposedly for the day and on further afield but the weather was so bad we couldn’t see what we wanted to
So Werdenfelserei was our choice for a last minute booking
We took a spa suite which was large modern and spacious. Huge tv sauna on the balcony and huge bath to lounge in, beds were really comfortable
Service at front desk was great ( especially the Russian lady , we didn’t ask her name) but she was fantastic
Breakfast was good if not a little disorganised but a huge range to choose from
The spa was wonderful, only negative was the pool was a little too cold.
We would definitely stay again

Beautiful boutique hotel, perfectly situated for the town

All the staff were very friendly and helpful

Our room was spacious and very comfortable overlooking the park and the mountains beyond.

Dining in the restaurant in the evening was a real high light and the food was of a very high standard. The best we tasted in Garmisch and surrounding area

I would highly recommend this hotel

I booked the Fire Suite as a solo traveler because I like to treat myself. From the moment I checked in, I felt like a burden to the staff. Very unfriendly reception. Nothing special in the room that I would expect when booking their best room. Limited dinner menu. After I had the 6 course tasting menu, there was nothing on the menu except the duck. Preordered the duck—-it was very dry. Not at all what I would have expected after the fabulous 6 course meal.
I tried to sleep with the door open, but smokers from the bar made that impossible
The last day there, I waited from 1130-1230 for someone to notice that I was on the terrace for lunch.
It is a pretty hotel w nice spa amenities, but if you are looking to be treated like a person who pays nearly 400e a night for a room, this is not for you.

I moved after 3 nights to the Zugspitze Hotel. Very lovely staff, wonderful spa, Michelin star restaurant.

We spent 4 lovely nights at Werdenfelserei and are already longing to plan a trip back. We ate at the restaurant each night as it was absolutely delicious and the pool was also a treat. The staff were all lovely, the welcome drink a nice surprise and drink recommendations at the bar all excellent. We day tripped to Zugspitze and frozen Eibsee on the most spectacular day which we will always remember. We found the hotel very comfortable and well located. Our stay exceeded all expectations and may have even topped our stay in the Swiss alps! Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

Hello, rooms do not offer ac, the climate at nearly 2000 feet altitude does not require ac at most times at the end of summer. Do have a good trip.
